@Theneverendingcleaningcycle congratulations! I think I remember from other posts we had similar tww symptoms so I was feeling hopeful for you! I've had cramps the whole time, a lot of us have, so try not to worry.

As for smells I thought I was okay, and I have been fine with food, but I went to put on my perfume yesterday and it was a big NOPE from me, made me gag 😖

Sassy144 · 14/01/2022 07:45

@girafferafferaffe please don't worry about the payrise, being pregnant should absolutely not affect you being fairly rewarded for your hard work and it's for your performance up until now! I've heard of lots of women who have held off telling their boss they are pregnant because they are expecting a payrise or promotion soon.

BlueSky57 · 14/01/2022 07:47

Good morning everyone! I did another clearblue this morning (just to confirm honestly!) & since Sunday when I got my BFP showing 1-2 weeks, it is now showing 2-3 so I happy with progression so far Smile

Thank you for replying! I think it's because I love my job and they've been so good to me since I started nearly 2 years ago. I lost a lot of confidence staying at home with dd and I really don't want to lose it or their trust in me to be broken! My boss is such a lovely person and I would hate for her to be disappointed in me !

girafferafferaffe · 14/01/2022 07:50

That all sounds bonkers now I've written it out haha

Yay! Yes I remember you.
I remember it not really feeling real till after the scan with my dd 7 years ago so probably will be the same again.
I was felt really sick this morning but it's calmed down since I've eaten.
It's all so terrifying and exciting.
I keep looking at my nearly 7 year old reminding myself I've done this once I can do it again. 😂

Hopingforarainbow27 · 14/01/2022 08:20

Did anyone else keep testing to check progression?

SkaterChick · 14/01/2022 08:24

Got some horrible left sides pains this morning so I'm freaking out a little... I'm so scared I'm going to have another eptopic or MC 😭😭😭 if they don't get better I'll call my drs in a couple hours but chances are epu won't see me till Monday earliest. I'm 5+1 currently which is when I started getting symptoms of the eptopic last time which doesn' help.

Whoknew22 · 14/01/2022 08:29

@Tor88 for me after the 20 week anomaly scan and finding out everything is ok. The risk of miscarriage reduces massively after 12 weeks which is so comforting.

For me, the 20 week scan is a scan that searches for any possible health problems so I found that such a worry. However we were told of a possible problem with the placenta that was resolved at 20 weeks. It was picked up at 12 weeks so between 12 and 12 weeks, we found it stressful. Hopefully this time will be different.

I suppose the true answer is, your mind settles on something but focuses on the next worry. However, that’s just life as a mummy. I’ve just sent my 2 year old into nursery this morning, very upset and I’m worried about him. My mum still worries about me, this is just the start of it for us all. The emotional rollercoaster is beginning but it’s 1 lovely rollercoaster but also a bumpy ride 🥰

Belle2210 · 14/01/2022 08:33

@madeleine85 thanks for the new thread!

@girafferafferaffe If you get on really well with your boss I would say to go for it and tell her. Atleast that'll put your mind at ease. I prefer it now having my manager know.

@BlueSky57 I'm the same with cramping. Find they're definitely worse because of struggling to go/trapped wind. Wondering whether to just take folic and Vit D rather than a preg vit with iron in them as I know it can make that worse.

@Hopingforarainbow27 I've only done one other test after my bfp. I didn't use one of the clear blue weeks ones though as I thought if the date wasn't what I expected it would freak me out. A darker line seemed more likely. Would say its made alot of people anxiety a bit worse that I've seen depending on what it says then they go on to have normal pregnancies (been reading alot of threads 😂).

Apart from the bowel cramps and waking up through the night I've not been feeling too bad. Definitely feel more sicky in the morning but usually goes once I eat something 🙌. I thought I'd maybe be more emotional by now but I managed to watch the part in John Wick when his wife then dog die and no tears last night🙈 💪😂.

Congrats to all the new BFPs 💕 welcome to the slowest 8 weeks of your life! Haven't seen any 22nd Sept due dates as yet which is my own birthday. Means you're a bit of a cross between Virgo and Libra on that day.

Maybe be best just to phone now first thing and then they may have a space to fit you in today?
MOLWI · 14/01/2022 09:17

@Hopingforarainbow27 I did a few tests to track my progression! I did a CB digital the day after I found out and it said 1-2 weeks and then waited another two weeks and did another one to make sure weeks 3+ was showing! And did a few FRER in between those just to check the line was getting darker. But I'm done testing now 😂

LSL0708 · 14/01/2022 09:23

Hi All, just marking my place.

Congrats to all the newcomers!

Rebeccalin · 14/01/2022 09:31

Got my BFP yesterday! Hi everyone!!!

Due September 24th!

Chlox16 · 14/01/2022 09:40

Hi all,

Congrats on the new BFPs Star

Just commenting so I can keep up with the thread x

LionPen · 14/01/2022 09:40

Morning all,

I've been lurking for a while (mainly because it doesn't feel real yet) FTM and 7 weeks today!

I have my booking appointment next Thursday in person.
Does anyone know what I am to expect from this appointment?

KatBee121 · 14/01/2022 09:42

Is anyone else looking puffier than normal or is it just me? Mine isn't the bloating/constipation either, but my body seems have been in constant water retention mode for the last two week now 🙄 ...wouldn't mind but I feel like I've been drinking water in the gallons so there's really no need for it to be retaining it like this 😅🙈

PumpkinsMum18 · 14/01/2022 09:44

@LionPen congratulations!

Booking appointment is usually where the midwife will take your details and ask questions about your health, your family situation, any previous pregnancies etc. Also maybe a bit about where you want to give birth eg, hospital or birth centre. They may do a blood test and/or urine sample.

Thank you!

Ok that's put my mind at ease! I've become Google best friend the last 7 weeks but sometimes it's nice to get an opinion from a real person

Sleepy86 · 14/01/2022 09:52

@Flibbyjibby

Anybody else nauseated by the smell of the fridge? It’s clean and everything is in date but I have to hold my breath when I open it now!

Last pregnancy I couldn’t go into the kitchen without holding my breath because even the faintest whiff of cooking set off my sickness. I hope it’s not that bad this time!!

I was just about to wash the pots the other day and the smell of the pots in the sink made me throw up! I've not been too bad with nausea, but my gosh I seen to be retching all the time too!
BlueSky57 · 14/01/2022 10:02

Thanks @Belle2210 I am taking pregnancy vitamins so maybe they’re actually increasing my problem instead of helping!

Are some of you just taking single vitamins or the pregnancy combined ones? What do you find best?

Sassy144 · 14/01/2022 10:10

@Hopingforarainbow27 yes I have been testing every other day 🙈 this morning's was very dark and the line came up immediately and before even the control line so I'll stop doing it now unless I have cause for concern! So hard when they're in the house haha

Sassy144 · 14/01/2022 10:12

@BlueSky57 I've been taking pregnacare combined vitamins, well the conception ones but will soon switch to pregnancy, mainly because it's easier and also because I don't eat meat or dairy so I want to make sure I'm getting all the vitamins I can! I wouldn't know where to start with individual but a lot of people prefer doing it that way, so whatever works for you.

Hopingforarainbow27 · 14/01/2022 10:13

I was told not take the multi vitamins as they are full of bulking agents and synthetic ingredients. I'm just on folic and vit d @BlueSky57

Hopingforarainbow27 · 14/01/2022 10:21

@Sassy144 mine is slightly darker than Wednesdays but not loads? 🤔
