Hi everyone,

Can I join? I'm due September 4th after a round of ivf. I had lots of bleeding at 5 weeks but had a scan last week that showed a heartbeat. I had some spotting last night too so very anxious. Has anyone else experienced this?

Also in regards to the miscarriage question- I lost my last pregnancy at 19 weeks completely out of the blue so for me the anxiety wont lessen until viability (24weeks) but for most people once they have the 12 week scan they should relax a lot more!

I was 6 weeks yesterday and woke to spotting this morning it's my 1st so I'm a bit freaked out no Idea what's going on or what to expect. I have an appointments to see my Gp on Thursday so all I can really do is hold on till then and mention it.
annlee3817 · 15/01/2022 08:10

@Easymeasy congrats, glad all is ok, so sorry for your late loss last time.

Sassy144 · 15/01/2022 08:11

@Hopingforarainbow27 I'm not sleeping very well either, I'm waking a lot in the night and struggling to get back to sleep - very tired!

Hopingforarainbow27 · 15/01/2022 08:13

@Sassy144 I wonder what that is. My last two pregnancies I slept like a log! I had a tickly cough yesterday and last night too

annlee3817 · 15/01/2022 08:19

Yep I fall asleep ok, but wake up a few times and eventually drift back off, I usually wake up once anyway, has been that way since I had DD, but more at the moment

SkaterChick · 15/01/2022 08:21

Morning everyone, I'm struggling with the sleep too. I'm waking up all night long and the broken sleep is killing me.
Had a small lie in (I'm up at 5.30 mon-fri), was planning on trying for more sleep but I got up to see and got a massive nose bleed so now I'm just awake.
The one sided cramps are better this morning I just have general cramps, headache and nausea this morning so fingers crossed it's all a good sign

Sassy144 · 15/01/2022 08:27

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better @SkaterChick and got a little lie in, sorry about the nose bleed though! I was so tired last night I went to bed at 8pm 😂 but then was up at 1.30 for a while and then properly awake at 6am this morning.

CLC22 · 15/01/2022 08:27

Congratulations all of you🥰 6+3 today 🤞 what are all you symptoms so far xx

Belle2210 · 15/01/2022 08:29

My sleep seems to be changing by night last night was fine even with being up 4 times for a pee I got back to sleep quick, other night I couldn't sleep till about 2am and had to go through to the spare room, before that I woke at 3am and didn't get back to sleep till about 5am 🤷‍♀️.

Dreams have been wild too. I usually have pretty vivid dreams anyways but these are beyond random 😂. Best present this morning though was managing to go Number 2 🙌🙌🙌 Thank beep 😂.

girafferafferaffe · 15/01/2022 08:46
@girafferafferaffe wow that's awful! She has definitely lost her trust privileges!
Yep! And I bet she will kick off that we didn't tell her early again this time as well. I do love her and she absolutely isn't all bad (she was doing my washing for me when I had a newborn etc) but she is terrible with news she sees as 'hers'.

girafferafferaffe · 15/01/2022 08:50

My dd wakes during the night still (she's 4!) but usually I just crawl in to bed with her and carry on sleeping so I'm not too disturbed. But if I crash with her at bedtime (which is a lot right now!!) I am awake late and then struggle in the morning.

Piper89 · 15/01/2022 08:56

Congratulations to everyone! I’ve been a little nervous to post as only 4+4 and been having cramps but reading the earlier posts here have helped reassure me a little!
I also need some advice… I’m due to go on a cocktail making hen do next week and lots of colleagues who I do y want to know will be there! What do I do?? I’m not a massive drinker so thought could ask for a few non alcoholic and then just pretend to sip one?? Not sure I will get away with that! Or pull a sickie and don’t go altogether but would feel v guilty for my friend! Any ideas??

BlueSky57 · 15/01/2022 09:06

Morning everyone!

can I just say thanks for the recommendations for my cramps? I ate banana for breakfast yesterday & later on in the day and my cramps were so much better.Flowers

I also went for a walk for an hour yesterday after work & although I struggled a bit (due to bloating I feel like a complete elephant already!), it actually helped me I think.

As for the sleep, I have always been a heavy sleeper & I am usually asleep 10-7 most nights in the week & that hasn’t been anything different for me Blush

At quite a few points in the day now, if I didn’t know I was pregnant then I don’t really feel pregnant Hmm I just feel a bit round after Christmas & have the odd cramp. I am now close to 6 weeks so still very early though

BlueSky57 · 15/01/2022 09:09

Also if some of you are constipated, something that always helps me is kiwi cut up but with the skin left on Grin

BntTowers · 15/01/2022 09:16

Hi, I'm hoping to join.
I did 3 tests yesterday (over the top I know) but they had all expired about a month ago and they all came back positive, did a (in days) clear blue today and it's come back BFP with 2-3 weeks so I think I'll be due 30th September.
We weren't trying at all really, just seeing how things go as my LG is 15 months old and we were going to wait a little longer to have a second, but life happens.
So far this pregnancy is presenting more nausea which isn't great when running around after a toddler! Definitely going to have to look at getting her into a nursery sooner rather than later now!
For those worrying about bleeding, go and get it checked out, I had bleeding at about 8 weeks and everything was fine, but it's always best to know.

Belle2210 · 15/01/2022 09:18

Will buy some today!
BlueSky57 · 15/01/2022 09:19

Welcome @BntTowers & congratulations on your BFP Smile I understand it must be difficult with a young child already but it will be nice that they are close in age Flowers I did a clearblue yesterday which showed 2-3 weeks & my due date is estimated to be September 14th so I just wondering how did you work out your due date of September 30th?

BlueSky57 · 15/01/2022 09:20

@Belle2210 I hope the kiwi will help. You may need to eat it each evening for a day or two before it works. I feel like I’m constipated but because I have a kiwi with skin every night I have actually managed to go most mornings so far now!

TotoAnnihiliation · 15/01/2022 09:28

I would develop some migraines this week and lay it in thick so when you get to the cocktail class you can say it's best that you skip alcohol.
BntTowers · 15/01/2022 09:37

@BlueSky57 just counted again and it's come up 20th 😣 I blame the toddler for being up too early and too much during the night.

RedIvy18 · 15/01/2022 09:41

Happy Saturday everyone! I'm 7 weeks today and really feeling the nausea, struggled through work yesterday. Fortunately I work from home but was interviewing so was lying down and wretching in between them 🤢. Have a scan a week today at 8 weeks, pretty nervous tbh as I had a mc at 5.5 weeks in October. This pregnancy feels stickier than the last one though so fingers crossed!

TMI question but has anyone been having LOADS of white discharge? My pants are a state by the end of the day 😕 xxx

Hopingforarainbow27 · 15/01/2022 09:53

What pregnancy app do you all use? I'm hesitant to download as I've downloaded twice before and obviously had to delete due to miscarriage.

Mags146 · 15/01/2022 10:04

Hi everyone, I got my BFP yesterday... Done 3 tests and today done one already, the line I getting a bit darker. Totally unexpected as it was our first month trying... I would add a picture of the test but not sure how to do it, please help! 😊
I am having such a difficult time to keep my pregnancy to myself and my partner, I would love to tell my family but I guess it might be too early...

I am freaking out a bit, not sure what to do now? Just wait I hope everything will be OK? Should I call GP now or wait few weeks? Do I track progression line? I am planning ok doing early scan for myself, maybe about 7 weeks to see if everything is OK. Please share your experiences.

BntTowers · 15/01/2022 10:21

@mags146 I would tell who you want, when you want, there's no right time, just when you are comfortable. We are going to wait a couple of weeks to tell our parents, but that's just because it's such a surprise and I need to get my head around it. Although saying that we are at my mums tomorrow and if I feel poorly I might just say.
You can call your doctor, I'll be doing that next week, they will refer you to the midwife team and then they will call or set up an appointment for when you are between 8-10 weeks then book you in for your scan at 12 weeks.
Congratulations
