Hopping on and catching up, following on from what @DKDK123 was saying about wait until you have a bigger bump & randomers start touching you, I think I would actually say "what are you doing?" I hate that. Get out of my space 😂😂

On the actual pregnancy massage, I had one at 15 weeks as they only did it after first trimester & it was amazing I'm def going back there soon again it was so fab

Did I mention btw that a couple of weeks ago DS got on board with @DKDK123's son &
announced that baby sister should be called Etta? Just randomly. I know an Etta but he doesn't, lovely name but not on the list, I'm not encouraging him to think of others as he gets no say mind you 😂

@larrythelizard Thankyou for the new bus, I'd be clueless on how to do it😂 also how exciting that your scan is soon!!

@Minster2012 I mean they have their moments but they are sweet!! I feel like I can't believe I'm technically into month 3 already, my app told me this morning, but I feel like it's gone slow as well, and I feel like it'll definitely drag until my 12 week scan, January drags as it is!! Also how lovely is the name Etta!! And how random your DS came up with it when he doesn't know one??

Oh yes @DKDK123 @Minster2012 the touching 🤦🏼‍♀️ I actually don't mind depending who it is. No one has done it yet bar the director of my department (she's quite a touchy feely kinda person) it's the strangers with fingers and heads in the buggy when they're born that makes my blood boil.

Oh no @feliznavidad2 🤦🏼‍♀️ and @Lexber you for sure too? Argggggh! DH has tested positive this morning on an LFT after feeling a bit ropey. Me and DD negative, he's banished to the "dancing room" aka the spare room 😆 bit difficult with a 4 year old wondering why daddy is antisocial 🙄

Was just randomly browsing on groupon and saw a deal with an early scan clinic near us and it was £30 for the scan and 2 prints it's usually £55 so obviously I got it and going to try and get one for when I'm 10+ weeks

Hopping on before I fall asleep- ordered a postal PCR but how I feel I already know!
Youngest is looking ill isolating in her room fast asleep at 2.30pm which for an ASD child is not normal.
OH is not well still so I've banished him to the bedroom with regular pain killers which knock him out so he can't be an arse when he's asleep...
eldest is still negative so effectively banished to here room for her own sake (Altho she's been in there 95% of the time by choice anyway so she won't mind at all) the look of disgust on her face when I told her I was positive (I had my face covered to protect her) then she told me to get out 🤣 I was only in the door way!

I'm currently on the sofa feeling pretty rubbish - sore throat, headache and sickly. I've managed to eat/drink and just taken more paracetamol so likely to fall asleep shortly!

Into month 3 already @Vil10 that's so crazy!! That means @Juno231 isn't far behind, how are you both feeling?? January does drag I'll agree with that, I do love the name Etta & it was on the list for if DS was a girl but off now

& yes @kaylsd how was telling your family? Hopefully magical

We shall have to see how I feel about ppl I know touching @bez91 though I'm certainly not going to encourage it, and yes on the head in the pram too, a stranger did that to DS whilst us and friends were having a civilised lunch & he was sleeping & so his pram hood all full up...they pulled it right down & woke him up, I couldn't have been more livid at that point

I think we all need a dancing room to vanish ppl to or enjoy ourselves??

@blackcurrantqueen another one here amazed they can see baby’s hair on a scan - is the old wives’ tale about heartburn true?

@Minster2012 I like Etta too, it’s cute but not cutesy. Not good with some surnames though!

@Sunbird24 come on 8 weeks that's brilliant, it was just the one embryo this time wasn't it? I agree Etta is cute but not cutesy, anyone is welcome to have it on their lists!

that's shit @Lexber hope you're feeling better soon! not getting covid right now really feels like an extreme sport, doesn't it! best of luck to everyone else with partners who have tested positive! we went for a pub dinner with some friends last night for NYE and it was quite crowded so now I feel like I'm on high alert for any symptoms...

@Minster2012 I had my first non-consensual bump touch over Christmas (cheers, random auntie). it was especially awkward because I still don't really have a bump and just feel/look a bit pudgier in the stomach than normal so it was a pretty uncomfortable experience so cute of DS, maybe Etta can be the middle name? ;)

@Justanothercyster pregnancy almost seems to reset your body somehow and after having a baby you also seem to be more fertile than ever. So never say never. If you definitely don't want one, then i would say use contraception. I'm not a fan of condoms either and I see your point. Neither would I want birth control pills or anything. My cycles are that regular I know when my fertile week is, so I could be really strict. But it's still risky. My favourite condoms i found were the mates intense feel ones in the red and black packet.
I'm the same as @larrythelizard in fertile week though- so horny that careful can go out the window without planning. I do miss that!
@Lexber 🤣 I have no patience, so the be nice drugs would need to work very fast! Oh shit about the covid test. Just what you need! 🙈
@bez91 oh no! Don't you go getting it too! yes after the 8 week scan the ivf clinic don't want to know you. 🤣 Does the mat hurt? I did look them up- the one you said and @Vil10 said. Obviously I can't use it now but I might get one later if they are worth buying?
@Minster2012 I would hate people talking to/touching my bump. I hate people hugging me though! 🤣 I still feel freaked out by the whole thing anyway and don't like to even acknowledge it. My friend last night knew and my mum now knows and so when people say anything at all I'm like- 😳🤦‍♀️ Etta is a very random suggestion if he doesn't know any. I don't know any cons to think of it!

On the subject of names- we were asked last night if we'd thought of any. I was like, erm definitely not! How ridiculous. But it reconfirmed to me how much DH and I will be on very different pages with it, and it might end up a nameless baby for a very long time. 🤣
I actually googled about massages as DH has been giving them me. But a few times it was just my neck and the other day was my upper back and neck. I don't touch that would cause MC? But it does seem sensible not to lay on your front (I did) after a point. I suppose you can't really anyway.

We didn't talk names with DS until about 30 weeks @paintfairy and I imagine this time will be similar. DS will not be getting a say...although tbf could have better taste than DH, some of his girl suggestions were quite 80s/early 90s and I had to be nice and not laugh in his face!

Saw a friend today who's having a tough road of it in terms of TTC and I felt like I was lying to her, I feel bad it's me and not her ☹️

@Minster2012 I feel fine to be honest, I feel like I've had lots of symptoms but very mild of them all, nipples are starting to get more sore, they're probably my main symptom, I caught it the other day and it stung that much I had to check if it was bleeding😫 I feel like I can start getting excited, even though I'm only 9 weeks abd OH said to me the other day he's excited but is trying to hold it in until I'm 12 weeks, I just keep thinking the more I say "if we get there" "if I have a bump" the more negative I feel and it makes the situation, so trying to stay positive and manifest!! How good is £30!! And for 2 pics as well!! My mums coming along with us too! Not surprised, you deserve a snooze and rest after gardening jobs, especially a garden your size!!

@paintfairy it does hurt a little especially if you use it on a really sore or tender area but it's like a satisfying pain if you know what I mean?? Deffo worth trying once you can! Of course 2 pigeons is a thing, 1 for sorrow 2 for joy 3 for a girl 4 for a boy 5 for silver 6 for gold 7 for a secret never to be told😂 oh god I just realised I said pigeons and not magpies hahahahaha, why I have pigeons on the mind I have no idea🤣🤣 wow 11 weeks!!! Time is flying!! Also on the names front, I've had a list on my notes on my phone for years, out of curiosity I asked OH what his faves are and both of them were on my list, I was pleasantly surprised, but I don't think it's something we'll decide on until baby is here!

@larrythelizard isn't it!! No date yet, I have my booking app on the 10th so hoping they might come to the appointment already having booked my scan or they'll send off for it then! Oh it's so hard isn't it with still having friends that are having tough times!! I have a friend who I've mentioned before on here, she's had 3 miscarriages, 1 very recent, and I've seen her since knowing and I just feel awful, I said to OH there's her and 2 other couples we know who are struggling and we'll have to be really sensitive with telling

@larrythelizard my friend i saw last night I felt a little awkward with. They've been trying longer than we have. They seemed OK about it and have had time to get their head around it now. But it still isn't ideal.
@Vil10 🤣🤣🤣 Of course I know about magpies. Pigeons not so much. 🤭 I thought there was another weird one i didn't know about! We saw 3 yesterday actually (magpies that is 😁). I also have a group live near my horse field somewhere and often see them in varying numbers. If I see only one, I start frantically looking for the others! 🤣

I have a couple of names shortlisted for either a boy or a girl, guess that’s one of the good things about doing this solo - no discussions needed! Will still keep them to myself until required though, in case I have a hormonal brain fart and decide to go for something completely random instead…

@whatwonder omg you had your first bump touch already wow I wonder if that's the soonest bump touch on our thread?! Good idea on the middle name, I'm not entirely sure Etta works with our surname!

I would also be horrified @paintfairy I hate touching so I really don't like it. I thought Etta is random too for him to say, the one we know was born when it was on our list, some friends of friends found out the baby had dwarfism on their 20 week scan (it's nowhere in their families) and then named their baby Etta, apparently it means "little one". Have you spoken to DH about names? We didn't entertain a conversation about it until the 16 week scan we had but I had lists from last time I was noting stuff down on 😂I'm imagining the 80's names from @larrythelizard's DH 😂

It's so hard @larrythelizard but there's no need to feel bad, you just have to be sensitive like @Vil10 says it's really really tough 🙁

@Minster2012 I'd be livid at that too! Especially when you've walked 13 miles and spent 4 hours trying to get them to sleep 🤬 with you on not letting DD in on name suggestions. Every one she's come out with is either her friends names or stuff like "leafy", "Skye", "rubble" after the dogs in Paw Patrol 🤦🏼‍♀️

@paintfairy I think it depends on your pain threshold 😆 my mat is really hard so there is pain for a minute or so before you get used to it. I like mine, it's probably a good thing to get on post birth too
