Hello everyone!

I have just had my BFP this morning, and based on dates I am due on the 1st September! I’m only just late on my period so hopefully there will be a few more of us over the next few weeks. Last pregnancy my date was pushed back a few days and DS ended up being a full 12 days late after that so I’m not too wedded to the 1st September!

@madeleine85 I also seem to have much milder symptoms this time than my first pregnancy, and I also have oilier skin! How strange! I have naturally quite oily skin and one of the only good symptoms from my first pregnancy was that it went away 😂 still I would much prefer this to the constant wretching and queasiness of last time!

Omg the oily skin is driving me crazy!!!

@calipoppy I am in the same boat :) Though could do without having to blot my skin!

I realised that we are about to hit the 1000 messages/are on page 40 so will get locked out of this thread soon. If anyone wants a 2nd thread for September here you go :)

Gemmasl35 · 13/01/2022 21:36

@BlueSky57 if your cramps are bad there are stronger painkillers the doctors can prescribe. I was also told hot water bottles are not recommended during pregnancy x

Tor88 · 13/01/2022 22:08

@madeleine85 ah well done for setting up the new thread :) thanks

Hopingforarainbow27 · 13/01/2022 22:23

Oh no I've had hot water bottles since I found out ☹️

becky239 · 14/01/2022 08:10

Good morning all, it's lovely to see so many positives! Just letting all new people know that I created a Facebook group for people from this thread if anyone that would like to join I will post the link. It is completely private so your friends will know

Re hot water bottles, I have looked into this previously and the NHS says it's fine? They are a small external heat source and will not raise your core temp.

I have used them. I don't put it directly on my stomach for a long time but around my sides and back can really help :)

PumpkinsMum18 · 14/01/2022 16:12

I think doctors don’t recommend hot water bottles in general as they can be very dangerous if they burst/leak and can cause serious burns

Hi everyone, I got my BFP yesterday... Totally unexpected as it was our first month trying... I would add a picture of the test but not sure how to do it, please help! 😊

I am freaking out a bit, not sure what to do now? Just wait I hope everything will be OK? Should I call GP now or wait few weeks? I am planning ok doing early scan for myself, maybe about 7 weeks to see if everything is OK. Please share your experiences.

Gemmasl35 · 15/01/2022 10:02

@Mags146 hi congratulations on your BFP there is a new group now as this one is nearly at its max you might what to post there as a lot of ladies aren't following this one anymore I'll add a link x

Good morning ladies it's lovely to see such a busy thread already! I'm currently 6+3 and starting to feel nauseous, I think it's due to hunger so as long as I keep eating throughout the day it seems to be keeping it at bay! I will post a new link to the September Due date babies Facebook group for anyone else that would like to join

Finnersmum · 17/01/2022 17:03

Hello 👋 got my positive test this morning. I’ve just messaged Becky to be added to the fb group. Hope you are all keeping well. This is my second baby, had horrendous sickness last time. I don’t know why I am doing this again! Anyone else had hyperemesis in a previous pregnancy?

becky239 · 17/01/2022 18:22

@Lemracw here is a recent link to the group. They expire every two days so I have to keep creating new ones!
