Hello everyone!

I have just had my BFP this morning, and based on dates I am due on the 1st September! I’m only just late on my period so hopefully there will be a few more of us over the next few weeks. Last pregnancy my date was pushed back a few days and DS ended up being a full 12 days late after that so I’m not too wedded to the 1st September!

@Sassy144

Anyone else struggling with sleep? I'm so tired yet keep waking up in the middle of the night!
Yup. I crash in the evenings and then can't sleep when I do go to bed and then wake up in the night! Exhausted !
Sassy144 · 12/01/2022 07:54

@girafferafferaffe so annoying! I'm so tired 😂

Whoknew22 · 12/01/2022 08:58

It’s so tough isn’t it. Life with a new born is tiring but at least there’s no work the next day. I’m the same, I go to bed early as I’m
So tired and my little boy always wakes up around 12 for a cuddle, I go and lie with him and cannot get back to sleep. So frustrating

TotoAnnihiliation · 12/01/2022 08:59

I'm exhausted too. Luckily I'm off work at the moment and I've dropped DD off to nursery and now crawled into bed for a lie down.

Hi All!

Congrats on all your BFPs!! I've been lurking and watching this group for a while now, I got my BFP on the 30th but after having 2 early losses in 2021 I've been cautious to join in the chat until I feel a little more confident about this pregnancy!

I'm on progesterone pessaries and baby aspirin daily to try and help the little bean stick and so far I've had blood test at 4 weeks and my levels were 534 which was good and now just waiting on my results from yesterday to see if they are doubling.

I have a VERY early scan booked for Friday where I will be 5+2 and I wasn't going to comment until after having that but I've woken up this morning and my symptoms seem to be disappearing. Just want to check if any of you are experiencing the same thing with them coming and going?

Xx

petitlapin1 · 12/01/2022 09:40

@Littlebun1 congratulations of your bfp! I also had 2 losses last year so am crossing everything I've got!

Symptoms coming and going is so stressful isn't it?! This morning I woke up and my boobs weren't sore, a couple of hours later and they're back. Some days I feel really hungry, others a bit sick. There's no consistency and some days I feel absolutely normal. I think there's a very wide range of what's normal at this stage!

Crossing my fingers for you for Friday.

surprised12 · 12/01/2022 10:15

My sickness randomly stopped yesterday and now I'm also stressing that something has gone wrong. I don't feel sick today either :(

Belle2210 · 12/01/2022 10:29

@girafferafferaffe

Afternoon all! The tiredness has hit me big time. I proper passed out yesterday after dinner.

In November my boss said that she would be asking for a pay rise for me (I didn't ask!) as she says I do nearly double what my original JD said. Today she confirmed that I will be getting this but now I feel really bad - I haven't told them yet (I will when I've had 12 week scan and know everything is ok) but I also do think this is for the work I do now and why should I get paid less for doing more just because I'm pregnant. I'll only be taking 9 months leave as can't afford any more so it's not like I'll be away for a whole year. But I still feel the guilt.

You deserve the pay rise as you said for doing more than you are being paid for 💕. See the maternity leave as being back dated pay from doing the extra before the pay rise 😉😂

Hi LittleBun1! Yes it’s totally normal for symptoms to fluctuate! You can have them really strongly one day and then hardly notice them the next. It’s your hormones fluctuating, plus a number of other factors. My breast for example start to hurt more in the evening during this pregnancy, but not every evening 🤷‍♀️ During my last pregnancy I got indigestion badly in the first few weeks, but not every day, and then morning sickness from weeks 8-12 and then that all went away during my 2nd trimester and the heartburn came back with a vengeance during my 3rd trimester. It’s Impossible not to worry so I won’t even say try not to.. and I’m so sorry for your previous losses.. hoping and praying that this pregnancy is a beautiful and smooth sailing experience for you ❤️
Belle2210 · 12/01/2022 10:41

Yesterday I was a bit worried because symptoms had eased off a bit. Boobs weren't so sore, not much crampiness and no waves of nausea....today... All back 🤷‍♀️.

Assuming things will just change on the daily and to be grateful for not having much when they go for a bit 😂.

Weddingaug2019 · 12/01/2022 10:41
@Weddingaug2019 mine are completely different to my DD. I have sore boobs, exhaustion, less nausea and I just feel different. Glad someone else is the same. If it makes you feel better I cried reading the first chapter of harry potter last night. I think I might be emotional :). Some of the food cravings are the same though, you are right on that one. Suddenly I must have melon of all things?!

@girafferafferaffe congratulations on the pay increase, that is honestly amazing, and I am sure it is so well deserved! Do not feel guilty, you worked for that!
I cried at a kids film… that I’ve seen fifty times with my daughter 😂 my husband looked at me and laughed and said “ that’s not even the sad bit!” 😂
Oh the hormones…

Weddingaug2019 · 12/01/2022 10:45

Same! 😂 got a nearly 2 year old who does not sleep!! Gonna be a barrel of laughs with two of them I’m sure! But we will figure it out because we have to.. 🙏🤞😬

annlee3817 · 12/01/2022 10:53

@girafferafferaffe definitely don't feel guilty about the pay rise, you've clearly earned it

Symptoms also coming and going here, having a bad nausea day today, but yesterday I was ok, can't shake this UTI, so on a second lot of antibiotics which is giving me an iffy stomach and also have pain low down from the UTI, so it's putting me on edge a bit. Last time I had terrible constipation, the fact that I don't now is also making me wonder if something is wrong, trying to stay chill though.

Congrats @Littlebun1 hope all goes well with the scan

Littlebun1 · 12/01/2022 11:04

Thanks for all responding 💕 definitely eased my worries a little bit to know it's normal for them to come and go!! Just wish I wasn't so anxious all the time!

Hope you're all doing well and looking forward to all your updates along the way!! Xx

Daisydolly1986 · 12/01/2022 11:16

I got my BFP yesterday! Due date 20th September. I had a chemical pregnancy last month, so I'm nervously excited!

Whoknew22 · 12/01/2022 12:40

Hi all, I’m with you on the fluctuating symptoms. The sickness is really coming and going for me. 1 thing I do remember about my last pregnancy was that the more tired I was, the more sick I felt. Don’t know if anyone else finds this but it really was the case for me. Just wanted to share in case gives someone a bit of peace of mind xx

calipoppy · 12/01/2022 13:00

I'm also having really fluctuating symptoms! Last time mine were awful and relentless so I'm actually quite happy to have the breaks 😅 it is comforting to have a sign somethings happening though isn't it. I'm also taking vitamins containing b6 this time so I wonder if that's reduced my symptoms a bit (or maybe they're still to come !!)

Tor88 · 12/01/2022 13:01

Also here for the symptoms coming and going! I was feeling super nauseous buts it's completely gone the last two days. But feeling VERY tired and lethargic.

MOLWI · 12/01/2022 13:28

Am I right in thinking we're not to get our hair bleached/dyed during pregnancy or is that not true? My roots are bad rn 😂

Glitterygreen · 12/01/2022 13:31

5 + 1 here and no real symptoms at all as yet...well no clear ones anyway, aside from the missed period and the odd cramps here and there.

I have been feeling a bit nauseous if I haven't eaten for a while but don't know if that's just hunger?!

No sore boobs or noticeable tiredness. 🤷‍♀️ I'm hoping I'm just lucky lol.

annlee3817 · 12/01/2022 13:36

@MOLWI I think you can, I didn't last time as didn't really need to, however this time I have way more Grey's now

Whoknew22 · 12/01/2022 13:42

@MOLWI im unsure, i did last time when I was 10 weeks pregnant. I don’t need my hair done right now but will be needing to do it at some point through pregnancy. Ideally just before I give birth then don’t need to think about it for a while 🤪

Whoknew22 · 12/01/2022 13:44

@MOLWI should have added, my hairdresser is a good friend and very knowledgeable. She knew I was pregnant and didn’t say anything about any dangers.

Chlox16 · 12/01/2022 13:58

Hi all,
Has anyone done their self referral online but not heard anything yet? Did mine nearly 2 weeks ago but not heard anything wonder if I should call? Smile

KatBee121 · 12/01/2022 14:05

Barely any symptoms here too. If I didn't know I was pregnant I probably wouldn't suspect it.
Cramps are getting more and more infrequent, none today, and are still only extremely mild.
Only feeling slightly sick when im hungry (which I do seem to be more regularly than normal...and a lot more thirsty than normal too). The only consistent symptom I've had for the last week is a mild slightly achey back that is very unusual for me. Although I will say that I look puffier than normal 😅...like a water retention kind of puffy rather than constipated. Having to refrain myself from testing just to keep making sure I'm still pregnant 🙈😂
