Hello everyone!

I have just had my BFP this morning, and based on dates I am due on the 1st September! I’m only just late on my period so hopefully there will be a few more of us over the next few weeks. Last pregnancy my date was pushed back a few days and DS ended up being a full 12 days late after that so I’m not too wedded to the 1st September!

@LSL0708 @surprised12 where abouts in the north are you from? If you don’t mind me asking! I’m in Cumbria.

How is everyone feeling today, the nausea is really setting in and I’m only 4 weeks today. Sore boobs and headache too.

I had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday but I’m trying not to freak out about it x

salimali28 · 29/12/2021 13:48

Hi, please could I join? Had my BFP yesterday and due 10th of September according to the due date calculator. I have a big collection of pregnancy tests as we were trying for 8 months so I'm ready to test every day for the forseeable! I'm already struggling to not tell anyone! Planning on booking an early scan for when I'm 7/8 weeks for some reassurance and planning on telling parents after it. So excited but also terrified and wish I could just fast forward to 12 weeks! AF not due until Saturday and I'm only 11dpo today.

LSL0708 · 29/12/2021 13:57

Aw that's a shame @Whoknew22. Let me know how you get on. If it is a positive result I hope you're not too poorly.

Congrats @Blythwind! It has also taken us 2.5 years and one round of IVF to conceive so I know the anxiety you'll be feeling. I hope all goes ok for you!

Thank you @mgah90! Same to you.

I'm in Newcastle @Beck3115. So far my only symptoms are tender boobs. I am very lethargic but I'm blaming covid for that.

I'm glad I'm not the only one looking at nursery furniture already @Frankie2015. I'm telling myself not to get too carried away so early on but I can't help myself. I've also tested every day since Christmas Eve. I should really stop but it feels too good seeing those two lines every morning.

annlee3817 · 29/12/2021 14:32

Hello, congrats to you all. I got my BFP on the 20th, rough due date would be Sept 1st going by my LMP, but in my last pregnancy I was dated a full week ahead, although DD arrived on what I believe my original due date to be, so tentatively coming on the September thread.

So far, awful trapped wind and sore boobs, no nausea, but didn't get that in the last pregnancy either :) also didn't get sore boobs until 8 weeks last time.

Hoping to book a reassurance scan at 8 weeks and if all ok will then book the harmony test as turned 40 this year and would like the reassurance

Whoknew22 · 29/12/2021 14:58

@annlee3817 oh the trapped wind is a new on for me this time around. Did not get that last time. Not enjoying it at all.

I’ve just booked my scan. Annoys me that they go by last period. I tried to explain to them that I was tracking ovulation and know when I ovulated. So I’ll go for the scan and I know I’ll be a good few weeks from
12 weeks. Wonder if they will have me back, if so, it’s not the worst thing

calipoppy · 29/12/2021 16:11

Hi everyone! Just joining after an insane shock about an hour ago when I decided to test after feeling car sick and it's a bfp! I have had indigestion but put it down to all the Christmas food and drink... we literally DTD once and nowhere near ovulation. It's my second, my first has just turned 1 and took months to conceive so I did not expect this at all!!

@LSL0708 I'm also in the north east! 👋

Tempusfudgeit · 29/12/2021 16:35

Is it correct that the Harmony test (or other nipt) is now available on the NHS if you're deemed high risk? I had to pay for it myself two years ago and it would be very welcome this time if I can now have it done without paying privately.

annlee3817 · 29/12/2021 17:07

I don't know @tempusfudgeit
I've heard that in some trusts that may be the case, but I think for me I still have to pay

Chlox16 · 29/12/2021 17:19

Hi all, just joining in.
Congratulations on all your BFPs, I literally got a faint BFP a few hours ago and it will be my first so I’m hoping it’s a sticky bean 🤞🏼
Due date is calculated as the 8th of September and I have literally no idea what to do now 😂
Saving my CB digital for the 31st when AF is due so I can tell my OH.

Due September 2022
madeleine85 · 29/12/2021 18:19

Congratulations to all the newcomers!

@Whoknew22 I am in the same boat, I told my doctor I have a 21 day follicular phase so using my last period date won't be accurate, but she kind of shrugged me off, didn't even ask for my ovulation date, and told me to book in for a scan in 2.5 weeks which would put me at 6-7 weeks. I guess at least that way I should get another at 12 weeks if this holds so shouldn't complain. Just had 2nd set of blood work taken, so should know the results tomorrow, hoping if I know that I can stop peeing on so many sticks lol.

Hope you are all doing great!!

I'm in Gateshead - so not too far!

GivenchyDahhling · 29/12/2021 18:45

Congratulations everyone! Hope you are all doing well!

Had a call from the hospital yesterday to arrange my bloods and booking appointment, also going to probably have to do the glucose tolerance test again which was NOT fun last time, I was sick in the middle of it and had to repeat the whole process. Serves me right for not losing any weight between DS1 and new baby 😬

Also already thinking about childcare logistics, DS currently in nursery 4 days a week but thankfully his 30 hours will kick in before I finish maternity leave so I’m hoping that it won’t be so bad having two of them in near full time childcare. Annoyingly too, when we moved house we put DS in an incredible nursery but they only take children from 1yr10mos and I’m loathed to move him so looks like we will be split across two nurseries. I was explaining all this to DH and he just looked at me and said “didn’t you think about this before we started trying?” Hmm

Hi all!! Would love to join the group ❤️ This is our second bambino (son is 23 months) and I got my positive this morning. AF due Saturday and I’ve had a chemical before so will retest on Saturday to confirm lines are getting darker 🤞🏻

mummabear18 · 30/12/2021 07:20

Due date should be September 10 🥳🥳

Beck3115 · 30/12/2021 08:40

@mummabear18 welcome lovely!

Is anybody else mega bloated? Im struggling to do my work trousers up 😞

On the subject of work, when are you telling them?

surprised12 · 30/12/2021 08:49

Welcome @mummabear18 - congratulations!

@Beck3115 I'm so bloated and horrible! Last night I could barely sleep I was bloated so much - I looked about 8 months pregnant my tummy was that swollen.

This morning I just feel so, so sick! I have to work today too - luckily just from home so I can stay in my PJs!

surprised12 · 30/12/2021 08:50

@Beck3115 oh work wise - I've told just my manager. Thought I'd something goes wrong it will save me trying to explain. I'm not going to tell anyone else until 12 weeks.

annlee3817 · 30/12/2021 09:09

Not telling work as expect I'll be working from home until March, so easier to keep to myself :)

Yep bad bloating here, trapped wind etc, trying to have earlier dinners and drinking one cup of peppermint tea a day, plus rooibos and will start having lemon water if I need it. Also having prune puree before bed every night, something I did in the last pregnancy and really helped, lol so glamorous 🤣

girafferafferaffe · 30/12/2021 09:16

I'm not sure when to tell work. I always get this huge guilty feeling about it! I think maybe once I've had a scan.

mummabear18 · 30/12/2021 09:33

Thank you both! ☺️

Also feeling bloated here though not sure if it’s due to that or a cheese platter I shared yesterday 😅

I won’t tell work until I have to. I’m up for promotion and it’s a very drawn out process that doesn’t end until April/May so as late as possible is good for me 👍🏻

MSS22 · 30/12/2021 09:50

Lickerdysplit · 30/12/2021 09:53

Hi everyone, may I join in? I’ve just got my first ever bfp after three rounds of ivf (and the rest); probably due 6th September. 😍

MSS22 · 30/12/2021 10:10

@surprised22 thank you. I know, time will tell. Think I will book an early scan as I won't be able to wait until 12wks!
Will be keeping a close eye on symptoms, last time I was so sick I ended up in hospital so praying that doesn't happen again. So far I just have sore breasts and soooo tired.

309SJ · 30/12/2021 10:18

Congratulations everyone ❤️
I’m SO bloated! I weighed myself this morning and I was horrified I’ve gained 6lb since the end of November. I understand none of it is actually baby related it’s purely too many roast dinners and water retention from bloating. Does anyone know if the bloat goes down and then your bump grows in later? Or do we just stay bloated then get a bump eventually 😂 my body looks so weird and none of my NYE dresses look okay (plus if anyone’s got any tips on how to reject alcohol on NYE without your friends knowing immediately please let me know) xxx
