@MrsNT our NIPT came back as girl, hoping to confirm next Tuesday so I can finally believe it 100% 😂

GrowBabyGrow · 01/01/2022 19:50

@beansprout55 so sorry to hear that sending love x

Is anyone else finding that they are getting an over full bloaty feeling every time you eat? I'm trying to do little and often but even that seems to be too much for my tum at the moment! Tried Rennie's and Deflatine but I don't want to take them constantly. I was fine a couple of days ago, it seems to have come on suddenly

CurryandSnuggle · 01/01/2022 20:11

@beansprout55 I’m so sorry to read that, if you need to talk we’re all here for you Flowers

RoseValleyRambles · 01/01/2022 21:00

@beansprout55 I'm so sorry. You must be absolutely floored. I hope people are looking after you. Glad your MIL has your back. X

MrsNT · 01/01/2022 21:01

Looks like its baby girl season in June then. How exciting. Any baby boys in June yet? Now i Wonder what I will have?

I have always always seen everyone having the same in the same month. Might be a coincidence but to me it looks like a pattern 😂thats my theory
The month my nephew was born, everyone at work had a boy too and everyone I knew of who was due around same time had a boy aswell. There were one or 2 girls but majority boys. So wondering if same theory applies here.

InvisibleDragon · 01/01/2022 21:22

Hope you're doing ok @beansprout55. Break-ups are awful Flowers Who is around you that can support you right now?

Is anyone planning to do the Yoga with Adrienne 30 days of yoga this year? I did it last year and loved it, but feel a bit anxious about knowing how to modify it for pregnancy!

mrkb · 01/01/2022 21:30

@MrsNT my mum and grandma are convinced I'm having a boy (won't know until the 17th) so maybe I'll be bucking the trend!

@InvisibleDragon I love Adrienne and have always done her January videos so would also be interested in knowing how to adapt. Haven't done any yoga in ages but fancied stretching out last week and felt like I was about to pull a muscle even thinking about a downwards dog!!

RoseValleyRambles · 01/01/2022 21:44

@beansprout55 I'm so sorry, that's awful, and horrid running too. I'm glad you have someone there for you. Keep on going.

RoseValleyRambles · 01/01/2022 21:45

Sorry, thought that last one hasn't posted. Double (now triple) love @beansprout55

RoseValleyRambles · 01/01/2022 21:47
@beansprout55 so sorry to hear that sending love x

I'm struggling in the evening. After dinner I feel like there's no room left with stomach plus baby in there. Glad it's not just me. I'm ok the rest of the day, but evening sofa time has become a bit less comfy

MrsNT · 01/01/2022 22:02

@RoseValleyRambles im not as hungry at dinner time compared to lunch and breakfast. Was invited to family dinner few days ago and oh dear did i struggle. No one in extended family knows yet so i couldnt even give an excuse for why im not eating

MrsNT · 01/01/2022 22:04

@InvisibleDragon @mrkb i was going to join prenatal pilates or yoga classes nearby after 16 weeks but with the new variant looming i think best to stick to online

MrsNT · 01/01/2022 22:06

@mrkb back in the day my grandmother used to come up with theories like if you gain weight all over its a girl but if its just tummy then its a boy. No idea if its true. What are your mum and grandmother's theories based on.

Prema112 · 01/01/2022 22:34

We will find out at the scan on the 18th, can't wait! I'm convinced it's a girl but we shall see...

mrkb · 01/01/2022 22:52

@MrsNT interesting! I think my weight gain is tummy focused actually which further supports their ideas. Theirs is based on that I didn't have any sickness (mild nausea for a couple of hours a day max for around a month at worst) and according to them my skin and hair is looking great, all of which are apparently signs of boys.

Dogmum5 · 01/01/2022 22:54

Happy new year and year of meeting our babies!

Random question - indigestion, can we take the tablets or does it need to be liquid gaviscon?

laurenGame · 01/01/2022 23:12
@laurenGame thanks. Sadly things are worse. I think my marriage has ended overnight - feeling numb, strange and very alone.
MIL has been supporting me overnight so not totally alone.
Oh I'm so sorry - I've been there and it was such a sobering thought: my marriage is over
Felt so surreal I couldn't think of anything else.
It was about 7 years ago or even longer - we ended up getting back together as I was just too scared to start again.
He's an ex husband now but it was a truly shitty time, and I can't even imagine it with a pregnancy ❤️‍🩹 wish I could give you a big hug
We're here to listen or if you could start a thread in relationships under a different name so no one will recognise you if you don't want to be xxx

JAR1981 · 01/01/2022 23:21

Happy new year ladies! We had a very low key one but just what I needed.

@beansprout55 really sorry to hear that, hope you’re doing ok and you’re able to put yourself and your wee bump first. Sending love.

For those asking about movement mine started just before 17 weeks. It first felt like twitches (actually noticed it the first couple of times after peeing) and gradually felt more and stronger kicks and pokes. Also feel the occasional role. Hubby has felt a few times now too which is lovely (now 18 weeks).

On the less lovely side I am bloated and constipated (sorry TMI). I’m really hoping that stepping away from the Xmas diet and getting back to normal eating in the next few days will bring some relief 🤣

Has anyone else’s innie belly button started to pop? Outies freak me out but think mine has started!

EarlGreywithLemon · 01/01/2022 23:33

Boy here! So says the NIPT. I’ve actually felt sick earlier, more intensely and for longer in this pregnancy than with our daughter, I’m carrying high, and I’m nice and spotty. All signs of a girl apparently.
@beansprout55 I’m so sorry to hear! Big hugs coming your way, and great to hear your MIL is supportive.
16+3 now and I’ve only felt a couple of definite movements - a few others I’m pretty sure were trapped wind! I wonder if my placenta might be anterior - it was at the 10 week scan I had with the NIPT, but a lot can change from that. I didn’t ask at the 12 week scan as I know they don’t like to say too much about the placenta so early. I’m also still feeling sick several times a day, but it has got a lot better. Christmas Day was pretty much nausea free, but it’s been the only day so far.
Also, the hospital called to ask me to rebook my 16 week appointment for two weeks’ time as they are overbooked. I assume they are actually short staffed because of Covid!

EarlGreywithLemon · 01/01/2022 23:40

@PeeAche I had a bleed at 14 weeks in my last pregnancy. The NHS EPU scan didn’t show a reason, but I had a private scan and it showed the placenta had come off a little bit in two areas. Apparently it’s not unusual and it usually resolves itself. I was told to take it easy for a few weeks (so no heavy lifting, gym or running - all of which I was still doing at the time!) but the consultant encouraged us to still go on our planned holiday to Portugal. I had another private scan to check on it at 18 weeks and it had completely resolved itself. No other issues after that. A friend had a similar bleed (same reason) at 18 weeks. She and the baby were fine too.
Big hugs though- I was incredibly stressed those 4 weeks - it’s not a nice feeling, to say the least!

MrsNT · 02/01/2022 08:17

@mrkb would b interesting to know if your elders theories do turn out to be true. How exciting .

@earlgreywithlemon have u told ur little girl yet shes having a brother. What was her reaction

MrsNT · 02/01/2022 08:18

@dogmum5 i took rennie tablets. The ones with wind relief. Rennie tablets are safe. Says on the box

Matilda30 · 02/01/2022 09:49

Those with other kids, do they have a preference on the flavour baby? My 6yo son wants a girl. I keep saying we can't choose etc and it'll be lovely either way! His reasoning is off though, it's just so we have 2 girls and 2 boys in the family Smile

Clueless22 · 02/01/2022 10:32

Morning ladies, I need to get back to work as have too much time on my hands and as a result am over thinking and being irrational.
17W 1D and not feeling any movement yet, all my symptoms have gone and other than the bump I don't feel pregnant at all. I'm actually feeling normal again and managed to properly sort the house out for the first time in months.
Suffered early loss in the past and never got this far. At this stage, loss of symptoms is a good thing isn't it and nothing to worry about.
I hate being such a worrier cause know it can't be good for baby but I've really started to get excited now and visualising a family of 3 in June x

Clueless22 · 02/01/2022 10:34

What should we worry about at this stage I suppose I'm asking xx
