I know you all love these ones! My daughter is due in February, and she is, so far, nameless. By this stage, ds had had his name for ages, but am finding a girl's name much more of a challenge. I want something reasonably distinctive, with some history to it, and perhaps a little glamour too.
Dh has sternly vetoed my first choice, Angelica. His favourite names are Frances and Olivia, which I like....but are they 'the one'.
Other names in the frame include Nina, Edith, Livia, Lucy, Elizabeth, Catherine, Phoebe, Mia and Viola.
Any more for any more?

I like Lucy and Catherine.

I also like Eve, Connie, Helen and Alice.

Violet is the daughter in The Incredibles family so it will probably gain more popularity through that

I narrowily escaped Amarylis and Inigo for a boy, Bloody sixties parents and the summer of love

nailpolish · 06/01/2005 12:24

violet is like Violet Beauregard off Charlie and the Chocolate Factory lol

Susannah was my no 2 choice for dd (after we what we eventually plumped for) Gorgeous name and also like Susie as a shortened version.
Have very prissy cousin called Susan, agree it's not the same.

suzywong · 06/01/2005 12:33

nailpolish · 06/01/2005 12:47

on one of them there is a 'perth from space' that you can zoom in on. havent actually done it really but you could zoom and zoom and find your house! lol

dont you have a pool then? oh no!

Marina · 06/01/2005 12:49

No pool but three fab children, a great attitude to life (party animals par excellence) and a piano accordion. He is English, she Australian. He was our best man and if it wasn't for my fear of spiders AND long-haul we'd have been out to see them by now.
