Hi ladies I have just got my BFP after ttc for a year. I'm 34 and it's my first pregnancy. I just thought I'd start a thread for anybody who has also just got a BFP. I'm excited but also terrified that something will go wrong! How are we all feeling?

Hope everyone is doing ok.

I'm officially 5 weeks now! I have my midwife appointment booked mid sept and also booked a private scan. I don't think I can wait to 12 weeks to know all is ok, I feel super anxious already this time. I also want to be able to tell my ds who is going to need as much time as possible to get used to the news!!!!

Today I'm going for lunch with friends and usually we would share wine. I know they will find it odd if I don't drink so I think I might tentatively tell them the news. But don't want to jinx myself by telling people too early if that makes sense!

Oh, I also found a great app called Peanut which is a great tool for finding other pregnant ladies and groups in your area. Worth a look. Just don't do what I did and create a profile then remember you don't want anyone to know you're pregnant just yet, doh!

Am 5+3, with my second.

Finding it tricky to count down the days, very nervous about something going wrong...

So difficult to know whether to tell or not tell people, I didn't with my first but now I obviously know a lot more mums now who may guess!

Also weighing up an early scan....

Agh I know it’s hard to know who to tell isn’t it? I haven’t told anyone yet apart from dh. I may end up telling my nct group (from first baby who is now 4) as we still meet up a lot and we are going for a bottomless brunch at the start of October and it is very unlike me to turn down a drink 😂 I think I’ll be about 8 or 9 weeks then so assuming everything is still ok at that point I’ll probably be ok sharing the news.

Hi everyone! Hope you don't mind me joining. I'm around 4-5 weeks with my first pregnancy and got my BFP on Friday - bit of a shock as I thought we had missed the window! I've had quite a bit of cramping, sore boobs, back ache so a bit worried (but usually only get sore boobs pre-af). Crossing all my fingers and toes it sticks!

Is anybody else getting little cramps and niggles in there lower belly , counting down the days till my early scan the wait is so hard

I feel so full and bloated after eating anything! I've just had some soup and I feel like I've eaten a 3 course meal!

I am so bloated too. I lost 3 stone since last year and I’ve kept it off and maintained the last few months. Since I found out I was pregnant I’ve not been watching what I eat and assumed I must have gained weight as my stomach feels so much bigger but I weighed myself this morning and I’m exactly the same which is good I guess but feel so bloated! Feel like getting out my maternity leggings 🤣

I feel SO bloated after eating too. I still get the odd cramp here and there but it was definitely worse last week compared to this week.

@Bluepop09 don't be worried! Symptoms come and go. No bleeding is the best symptom you can hope for. Be positive

@Bluepop09 don’t worry. It totally comes and goes for me. It did in both my previous pregnancies too. I think it’s just fluctuating hormones.

@Bluepop09 me too , also I've took a clear blue I should be 5+1 today and it's coming up 2-3 weeks still the same as last week when I took one so now am worrying as I should be getting 3+ by now Confused

I was worried this morning as symptoms seem to have totally gone. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow. I think it is normal though. I took another test to be sure and it came up positive straight away with a very strong line so that must be a good sign

@Flamingogirl08 maybe take a CB test to see the number of weeks you are? That might give you confidence.

@candyfloss18 I don't know your exact situation but maybe your days are wrong? Also the CB apparently has a high threshold. Check again in a few days maybe?

These first few weeks are so stressful. I can't wait for my early scan next week. Will put my mind at ease.💕💕

@candyfloss18 the exact same thing happened to me. Don't worry about it! Bin the tests and stop over thinking. No bleeding means you're still pregnant so stop panicking
