4 weeks BFP

Hi ladies I have just got my BFP after ttc for a year. I'm 34 and it's my first pregnancy. I just thought I'd start a thread for anybody who has also just got a BFP. I'm excited but also terrified that something will go wrong! How are we all feeling?

Great thankyou 7+2 days as I thought so due on may 4th and got to see the heart beat so definitely sinking in now x

Is anyone else’s booking appointment over the phone? Also I’m thinking of going for the Harmony tests as I’m 37. Anyone else?

Yes, I had mine over the phone yesterday, but need to go for bloods next Saturday.

I've also booked an early scan for next Sunday (when I should be around 8 weeks). Starting to all feel real know so just keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that everything is ok!

I had my early scan we 7 weeks 5 days it was amazing seen baby's heart flickering. Had early scan as it was IVF now they have discharge me and said ring midwife do I just choose a hospital xxx

My booking appointment was face to face.

You should be able to book to see a midwife if you call your GP surgery @Hoping1

I found such a bargain on Groupon for a local place that does early scans. Bought it then when I called they couldn't use any more Groupon codes for 2 months as they'd been overwhelmed apparently, so had to cancel 😭 Just going to be patient and wait for the 12 week scan now 😬

@Bluepop09 I'm not sure what's in your area, but Window to the Womb has some offers for early scans so I managed to book for £59 rather than £79.

Are the early scans on the tummy or internal?

@kjcar the one I bought was £35 and there was a discount code bringing it to £28. Also went through Groupon so it was really £24 😲 No wonder everyone snapped it up!

Sorry to bring the tone down in here, I really need to speak to someone and know the doctors won’t take me seriously at such an early stage.
I’m 4w today, on 3w6d (so yesterday) I went to the toilet and have a line of blood on my underwear, it was dark red. When I wiped I had a some more. Since then Iv had nothing really, just a small amount of brown when wiping today which I’m assuming is the residual. I’m really worried Iv miscarried but don’t think I will know for weeks when I re-test hcg. Anyone had this? Any advice welcome.

Hey @DGK1 I personally didn't have any, but it could be implantation bleeding. You'd have a lot more blood if you'd miscarried (like your period), so just keep an eye on it. Really hope everything turns out ok for you ❤️

Hi ladies I'm booked in for an early scan this afternoon and I'm absolutely terrified they are going to say something is wrong. I'm actually regretting booking it. Did anybody else have this anxiety?

I also had a bit of spotting last night which is adding to my anxiety

How did it go @Flamingogirl08? I've also rebooked one for Weds and now wondering whether I should've waited til the 12 week one! What are we like

Hi @Bluepop09 Oh it was amazing and I feel silly now for worrying! The baby was wriggling about and the heartbeat was strong. They dated me at 9 weeks which is pretty much what I thought. I feel relieved now

I have my first early scan on Sunday (should be about 8 weeks) and am so nervous.

That's amazing @Flamingogirl08 I felt the same about my 7 week early scan and there was a strong heartbeat . Tbf, I'm worried about my 12 week scan in 3 weeks. Think it's normal until they arrive then a new set of worries kick in!

I have my booking in appointment on Monday. Thank goodness they text as I hadn't received a letter so figured it would be done on the same day as my 12 week scan.

Keeping all my positive mental attitude and looking forward to all the great milestones. Plus hoping I don't faint on Monday as I hate hospitals, blood and needles.

I had my booking in appointment last week and they did it as a home visit which was good. I hate getting blood taken myself but it honestly wasn't so bad. I turned my head, closed my eyes and took deep breaths.

@wannabeamummysobad oh I had my booking appointment on Wednesday and fainted after getting my bloods I always do though just take a sugary drink with you for afterwards , good luck you will be fine

@candyfloss18 that's a good shout on the sugary drinks. Will definitely make sure I do. DH is also coming with me so he'll keep me upright

How's everyone getting on

@candyfloss18 my NHS scan is next week and am so excited/nervous for it (I've had early scans 7 and 10 weeks- baby growth was amazing and at the 10 week baby was waving and "dancing" 🥰). My EDD is currently 28th April but interested to see if it comes forward again as it was 29th April at 7W1D.

I didn't pass out during my booking in bloods and have been told I'm rhesus negative so that's at least one more injection/appointment to add to my notes.

Symptoms wise I think I have sciatica which is unpleasant other than that I've wanted so much pasta and rice the past 3 weeks! Good think I'm still running else I'd balloon.

How are you getting on?

I'm 13 weeks today and had my scan. Everything was fine and baby is a real wriggler!

Really good thank you. Baby all healthy and measuring at 13 weeks - my scan was yesterday. EDD 27th April 2022🥳🥳

Hey how is everyone getting on ? How far gone are you now and do you no what your having I'm 17 weeks 2 days and found out a few days ago I'm expecting a baby boy , feeling a lot better now in the second trimester , hope everyone is keeping well
