4 weeks BFP

Hi ladies I have just got my BFP after ttc for a year. I'm 34 and it's my first pregnancy. I just thought I'd start a thread for anybody who has also just got a BFP. I'm excited but also terrified that something will go wrong! How are we all feeling?

@teaandcrumpets35 where abouts in the country are you to get an early scan for £50!!?

I did another digital test today which says 2-3 rather than 1-2 now so all going the right way!! Think this means I'm 4 weeks bang on today. Which the next 8 weeks go by fast and smoothly so I can relax!

You can get a gender scan from 15 weeks for £80 and it even comes with a free gender balloon lol.

Can I join too! Congratulations everyone, so lovely to read your stories. I'm 4wks 3 days according to the apps. First baby, hopefully. In my late 30s. I had a pregnancy of unknown location earlier this year, and had to wait a few months to try again, really happy it's worked and now just everything crossed that it's in the right place! I got referred for a (super early) scan this morning at the early pregnancy unit but predictably they couldn't see anything yet. Had bloods and will go back on Thursday to see if they have doubled.
Only real symptom so far has been very sore boobs!

How's everyone's symptoms? I've had some slight light brown discharge today and a little bit worried. Is this normal? X

I think it's normal? I've had a little bit of this in the mornings the last few days, and I think light brown discharge is nothing to worry about and just old blood leaving the uterus.

@ninadust that could possibly be implantation bleeding? It's so hard not to worry isn't it up until the first scan. I've had on and off cramps in my stomach today

Been having a Google and it looks like it's nothing to worry about and expected around. Think I'm being way too paranoid 🥲 - yes just wish you can scan every week haha!

I had my phone call from the midwife today to arrange my booking appointment! Eeee it's finally starting to feel real! She's coming on Friday morning.

With regards to the early scan I was going to so I could work out my dates what with my little confusion 😅 but when I told the midwife she said she'll book me in for my 12 week scan early, that way if I am 8 weeks rather than 4 currently, I won't miss the timings for the screenings :)

I am getting an early scan at 7 weeks but because mine is an IVF pregnancy it is classed as high risk so we have to have one then. I can wait to see it after 4 years and a failed IVF never gotten this fat ever. It still doesn't feel real xxx

@ninadust I had this with my first DC for a few days around 5/6 weeks. She was fine and is now 11 years old. Can be implantation but if you are worried call your local EPU.

I rang EPU today for my progesterone prescription today and the nurse wanted to book me in for an early scan for 7/8 weeks. That was music to my ears. I am being seen under the recurrent loss clinic so it’s usual. X

I can't stop weeing!!

I haven't had any symptoms yet really. Sore boobs of a night, that's about it!

Oh and I'm having some really low down stomach cramps tonight. Not really painful just twinges

Got my blood tests back and yep I’m definitely pregnant. Still in shock! (Also bloated, exhausted and SO HUNGRY)

Hi everyone
I'm tentatively 5 weeks pregnant. I've had 2 miscarriages the past year but lucky to have 2 dds already (10 and 8). Same dad so must be me!
I've just started a new job in nhs and bam! Very happy but very anxious and kind of just expecting it to go wrong really. Trying not to tell work until I'm further along.

I've just heard back from the midwife and my booking in appointment is 16th September, I'll be bang on 8 weeks. They're visiting me at home which is handy!
