4 weeks BFP

Hi ladies I have just got my BFP after ttc for a year. I'm 34 and it's my first pregnancy. I just thought I'd start a thread for anybody who has also just got a BFP. I'm excited but also terrified that something will go wrong! How are we all feeling?

@SchofeTee I know that's what I'm going to do now, I have a early scan booked in for the 17th so I'm not testing now as it makes me worry more , unless I start bleeding or get severe cramps I'm not going to worry (well I will try)

@candyfloss18 tbh even a little bit of blood won't hurt. It's big clots you need to worry about. But yes do away with the tests. The amount of hcg can vary from like 427 - 18,000 in week 5 so it's just not worth worrying. I had a scan today at the early pregnancy place and everything looked fine but they couldn't actually see baby as it is soooo early. Going back on Friday 10th and there should be a heartbeat by then. I'm just trying not to worry between now and then, there isn't any use. It doesn't help anything. Xxx

These first weeks are definitely hard, I had to stop myself buying more tests for reassurance when we went shopping today lol. Boob soreness has come back slightly throughout the day but it's not as bad as it has been.

@Bluepop09 isn't it though.

How many tests have you all done the cycle you conceived? I'm on 3 - 1 x FRER to get my BFP, 2 X CB to show progression from 2-3 weeks to 3+ weeks.

I'm now 6 weeks and not doing any more- have booked a early scan for next week. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 to us all

About 5 cheapies, 1 frer and 2 digitals for me. I’ve seen the digital say 3+ now so I’m not going to do any more tests.

I had the clearblue digital monitor for ovulation tests which also does pregnancy. So I did 3 of them and then 4 cheapie pink dye ones as well. I won't do anymore though

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat what week did you get your 3+ on ? I've done lots of cheap ones 2 first response and about 4 clear blues

I’m 5 weeks today and got the 3+ this morning. I got a 2-3 at 3w6d and not tested since then.

I've done 3 clearblue digitals to check the weeks progressed until I saw 3+ Must have done about 4 frer tests too Oh and the initial Morrisons own brand for the first BFP. Oops!

@candyfloss18 I got 3+ when I was 5+1. The test prior to that was taken at 4+5 and said 2-3.

@Bluepop09 that's the first test I took so I have a picture of the exact time and date I found out I was pregnant which is nice

I’m 2-3 weeks pregnant according to clear blue digital! Having pains so in the process of ruling out ectopic pregnancy…..hoping for the best!

Hi everyone I’m going to join this thread! I’m 4w + 5 today I think. Just phoned the midwife this morning and someone will be in touch for my booking appointment and everything in 2-3 weeks. To sit back and try and relax now 😃

My symptoms keep changing, nausea comes and goes, still have cramps like AF is about to come. Unless I’m bent over in pain or bleeding heavily I’m going to try and stay calm as possible. Like others have said worrying won’t change it. I’ve only done cheap pregnancy tests but had about 5 that were positive. Feel like I need to do a digital one just to be sure now but I think it would be very unlikely to have 5 false positive.

Looking forward to chatting to people at a similar stage to me.

Hi Guys tomorrow il be 6 weeks tomorrow from my first ivf fresh transfer. Last night I had the most painful headache I have ever experienced I had to hold my head... is this normal should I be worried? Anyone else have anything like this?

Hope it's okay to join. I'm a little behind you guys. I'm 4 weeks today, had my first positive on Sunday so about 5 days ago. It's my first and I'm super excited and anxious all at the same time. =)

Are you going to get an early scan to date etc? I'm getting mine a week on Saturday and can't wait 😊

I've just had a call re my booking in appointment - it'll be a telephone call on 16 September. A lot earlier than I thought as I'll be 6+4 then, but glad it's something to look forward to! I've also booked an early scan when I'll be 8 weeks. This is my first pregnancy and I had no idea I'd be so anxious!

I also keep POAS and really need to stop...

Hi everyone, hope it's ok to join you - I got a BFP 2 days ago on 11DPO with a cheapie, and took a clearblue digital this morning that said pregnant, 2-3 weeks. Really excited as this will be DC1, but I know it's early days and I'm nervous as have a lot of friends who've miscarried before 6 weeks. Think I'm going to ring the GP monday as by then I will have missed my period, and will maybe think about booking an early scan around 7-8 weeks.

Struggling with not being able to tell anyone, and it's my birthday next week and I've made loads of plans so going to be dodging alcohol awkwardly. Might tell a couple of my closest pals as I think I would tell them if anything goes wrong anyway.

Hope everyone is dong well - it's really interesting to read posts from those of you who are a few weeks ahead of me to see where you're at!
