Hi everyone, following up from our second thread here.

We’re just about through morning sickness and odd early pregnancy symptoms… what will the second trimester bring?

Thank you @Lizlou85 @DawnK77 !!

Heart4 · 18/11/2021 11:57

Congratulations ladies,.

My baby girl arrived on the 10th Nov by c-section. 3.2 kilos. We spent 3 days in hospital but home now and doing well. LO is already 1 week old ! x

Yogity · 19/11/2021 14:13

Congratulations @SweetSunflowerBoo and @Heart4 on the safe arrival of your little ones! Hope the recovery hasn't been too bad and you're getting through the sleepless nights!

Our baby is 11 days old now and the last 2 nights have definitely been easier than the initial few. Us mamas are so adaptable Smile

SweetSunflowerBoo · 19/11/2021 15:26

Thank you @Yogity
Recovery is nothing like I thought it would be!- I know everyone is completely different but I feel more crap when I'm on my period compared to now!😳

I'm glad the last few nights have been getting better for you! 😘x

Yogity · 19/11/2021 15:34

@SweetSunflowerBoo I'm glad you said that because I've been the same and felt weirded out by how OK I am. The midwives in the hospital kept asking me if I needed pain relief and on day 2 postpartum I ended up asking "what for?" Truly blown away by how incredible our bodies are and how we really are made for this. Hormones on the other hand are a whole different story!Confused

sparklyblue81 · 19/11/2021 17:01

Congratulations on all those lovely babies 😍

Our little boy arrived on 8th Nov after being induced at 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes. I had the pessary & it was a very quick & very intense 3 hour labour, I only just made it down to labour ward in time, so just tens machine & paracetamol until I got the gas & air for the last half hour! He’s a a tiny little thing at 6lb2oz and had to be resuscitated initially but is absolutely fine thankfully. I developed pre eclampsia after birth and was very poorly with crazy blood pressure, sickness, and problems with kidney & liver function so I was in hospital for a week which was majorly pants but feeling much better finally. Just waiting on follow up appointments at 6 weeks to see if there’s any lasting damage 😬

Good luck to everyone still waiting to meet their bubbas- I hope everything goes smoothly for you, it is all worth it once you get the little squishup in your arms x

Dinosaurus86 · 20/11/2021 23:13

Congratulations @sparklyblue81! Is he your first? Very sorry to hear about the preeclampsia. I’m interested in positive induction stories as it looks like I’m going to be induced next week & have been receiving mixed messages about it.

JackJack84 · 21/11/2021 07:56

Congratulations @sparklyblue81!! Glad little one is doing well & I hope you're feeling better soon! x

Knock123 · 23/11/2021 05:05

@sparklyblue81 congratulations!!! Sounds absolutely mental but you're both safe and well and thats all that matters!

@Dinosaurus86 I had an induction and it was a really positive experience. I was induced early because my baby had stopped growing so my body really wasn't ready. Had a balloon on the Friday night, pessary Saturday morning, broke waters Sundays afternoon, drip and epidural Sunday night and baby born Monday morning. It was a very long process but I wasn't in full labour the whole time and due to the epidural I was able to sleep on and off for most of the drip and just woke up properly for pushing. As long as you're open to going with the flow a bit, you'll be fine and then your baby will be here! Let me know if you have any questions

Needingsupportplease · 23/11/2021 05:10

Congratulations to all whove had their babies. @sparklyblue81 that must of been terrifying! Ds is here born by elcs weighing 8.13 been attached to the boob since he came out haha. Been awake for 24hours now. Exhausted x

Vintique · 23/11/2021 14:18

Congratulations all on the new arrivals!! And wishing sparklyblue81 a speedy and full recovery Flowers
Our wee boy Ben was born a week ago, just under 3 kilos. All good with c section at 38 weeks and post op healing, happily!

Lizlou85 · 24/11/2021 01:22

Congratulations everyone.

Sorry if it's TMI, I woke up just after midnight thinking happy due date to us (24th) went to the loo, climbed back in to bed and just now either my waters have broken or I've really badly Peed myself. I'm thinking waters because even ie inky been needing to go even 90mins recently.

Knock123 · 24/11/2021 09:25

@Lizlou85 ooh any update?!

Yogity · 24/11/2021 14:02

@Lizlou85 ooh how exciting! Hope that's you on your way. Imagine the perfect timing of arriving on your due date!

Will be thinking of you and hope all goes well Smile

Lizlou85 · 24/11/2021 14:08

Thanks @yogity and @knock123.

Hospital wanted us in at 230 this morning for monitoring, got sent home at 7am. Got to call in at 9pm if not in regular contractions to go back in for around 1030 be induced at 1am.
Just resting and wishing.

Knock123 · 24/11/2021 16:05

@Lizlou85 well sounds like sometime in the next couple of days you will finally have your baby!!! Definitely try your best to sleep if you can

Lizlou85 · 26/11/2021 08:10

After 37 hours from waters breaking to arrival our little one arrived on Thursday at one day over her due date.
Completely besotted with her and we're both being kept in for 48hrs to monitor.
We are working out a name but thinking of calling her Rose.

Knock123 · 26/11/2021 09:36

Congratulations @Lizlou85. Rose is a gorgeous name!
I also spent a few days in hospital after a long labour and while you're there take advantage of the midwives to help so you can get some sleep before you go home. I didn't make the most of it and then felt sleep deprived for a month!

1Mum2be1993 · 26/11/2021 10:08

So far, lots of spots on my face which I’m not used to 😂 but I am starting to feel less nauseous woop x

Yogity · 26/11/2021 16:08

Congratulations @Lizlou85! Well done on that mammoth labour time. I'm sure you're exhausted! So glad your LO arrived safely

Rose is a beautiful name. I agree with @Knock123, definitely take advantage of the help while at hospital so you can rest up.

Lizlou85 · 26/11/2021 16:33

Thank you, yes I am taking advantage of knowledge and help.
@1Mum2be1993 I had a bad spot break out about a week before she arrived so it maybe a sign.

Lizlou85 · 23/02/2022 19:50

It's been a while, how is everyone's not so little 3month old getting on?

My little girl is babbling away, smiling and just finding she can pop her hands in her mouth.
She's a little chunk at 12lb 7oz.

Hope everyone is well.

Knock123 · 23/02/2022 20:46

Ahhh so lovely to hear you're doing well! We had a difficult start but my daughter has just turned 4 months and is now doing great.

Prepare for lots of slobber if she's just found she can put her hands in her mouth!

Time is flying hey??!

Katy4321 · 23/02/2022 21:31

Lovely to hear the little ones are doing well and @Knock123 sorry you had a tough time.

We had quite a lot of trouble feeding and birth with forceps was a bit traumatic, but LO is doing really well and the smiles are wonderful 😀

Hannah94L · 25/02/2022 14:28

My triplets are 4.5 months old (14 weeks adjusted)
We’ve hit the 4 month sleep regression hopefully not too much longer. Night times are fine but they fight naps during the day a lot and nap for 45 minutes or less at a time
