November 2021, thread 3 - hello second trimester!

Hi everyone, following up from our second thread here.

We’re just about through morning sickness and odd early pregnancy symptoms… what will the second trimester bring?

Our little girl was born this morning at 2.26am weighing 6lbs 12.5oz.

@Yogity huge congratulations - hope you and LO are doing well.

@jackjack84 same thing happened to me at the weekend. Started my balloon induction on Saturday morning and then admitted Saturday evening but no delivery suites available so we had to wait to break my waters. Must have been all the valentines day babies
Much comfier at home. I will keep fingers and toes crossed for you x

I've not checked in for a while as I've been in the new baby fog but so happy to see some more birth announcements!!

Sorry for TMI ladies but did any of you that have had your babies (or had babies before) have sickness/diarrhoea before labour started? I'm 39 weeks today and had both all evening. I've read online that it can mean labour is starting?!

Did over 2 1/2mile walk today to try get things going and nothing! Not even a twinge... feel defeated. Anyone else?

This is exactly how my labour started🥰 it lasted a day or two & then my labour was 6hrs once in hosp at 7cm. Goodluck x

Exactly 39 weeks today and I know, I shouldn't wish the time away but I'm sooooo ready for this one to arrive.
I know there'll be sleepless nights etc but every twinge, kick etc is waking me in the night. Another 0345wake up on the dot.
I'm just praying little one doesn't inherit its fathers snoring, although it seems to react to his snoring most nights!

Hopefully the start of things then! Felt better today but had a stretch and sweep this afternoon and now very uncomfortable. Although was 1-2cm dilated and cervix was soft so fingers crossed!!

My little one is here!!!!!
8pounds2oz born at 10:03pm 17th November!

Contractions started at 2pm 17th with bleeding. Checked over at the hospital and was already 4cm 4:30pm!
Taken to labour and delivery and by 9:30 I was fully dilated and pushing! (Even tho it took a while to convince the midwife she needed to check me because I NEEDED to push!🙄🙄)
Baby boy arrived at 10:03 😳 after just a few pushes with just gas and air.
Only 2nd degree tear and that was it
And we were home by 2:30am!!

I feel empowered!!!!!!!!
