We’re coming to the end of our last thread so here is, hopefully, the final instalment of our journeys. I’m going to compile a list of due dates and births from the last thread and I’ll post them below.

Hopefully we’ll have lots more baby announcements on the way! How is everyone doing?

@Waitingforbabypage I hope you are OK. I was the same a few days ago. Induced, partner had to go home, not much happening really (contractions 15 mins apart etc). Then when baby's heart rate dipped a bit they were worried about him being wrapped around his cord (he wasn't) so they broke my waters and I was still only 2 cm but just over an hour later he was born!!
Things can progress really quickly so don't give up and you are most definitely not a failure. I had mixed messages from the midwives at my hospital too. Best of luck and I hope you update today with a birth announcement .

By the way, congratulations to all the new mamas! I'm trying to keep up with this thread but life is now quite busy!

@Normando91 Yes defo tell your MW, they’ll
dona blood test and let you know if it’s cholestasis, but don’t worry, a fellow pregnant friend had this recently and blood test showed nothing, they told her to have an oat bath 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@AlRRRR an pat bath? As in a bath tub full of oats? 😂

@Sitchervice You can fill a bag with oats and run it under a warm
tap and then swirl
it round and take it out, you can then get in it and /or rub it around your body, i’ve also heard that being used for kids with chickenpox haha

39+6 today and I’ve had stomach cramps and back pain on and off since about 4am. Really hoping it’s the start of something! 🤞 got my 40 week midwife appointment at 1pm. Part of me is hoping I won’t make it! 😂

Thanks ladies, I’ll definitely look into the oat bath! Had my bloods taken and will hear back in the next day or so. I’m sure it’ll just be the heat or allergies. Baby boy has grown (last time I was sent for a scan and he was just 5lbs and on 10th centile) today he’s roughly 7lbs ☺️ Being given an induction date tomorrow as my hospital won’t allow me to go over 41 weeks. Invited for a sweep on my due date 😬 Really hope he decides to make his entrance before then!!

@Normando91 glad you got bloods done, I had the same thing for a bit which stopped me from sleeping, the doctor also provided some antihistamines to take when needed so ask for some if not offered already xxx

I was getting some monitoring yesterday and the midwife told me that in France the due date is set at 41 weeks which I found interesting. So for most of us going over in France, we still wouldn't have hit our due date yet.

Was meant to be induced yesterday but hospital was full and not doing any inductions at all so after a lot of faffing and stress, I'm now at another hospital an hour from home and have started induction. Baby was being awkward on the ctg after pessary went in so had to stay on for nearly 2 hours but when the consultant came to check he was all fine so we're just chilling now hoping things get started soon!

@MimiDaisy11 in the U.K. babies aren’t ‘post term’ until after 42 weeks a lot of medical professionals do seem to forget that though!

Anyone else struggling to sleep at night ? I wasn't too bad last night but it was so humid then today I just keep nodding off , having daily showers now just to keep awake and feel fresh 🤣
Had my 39 week checkup yesterday midwife reckons I'll go over

@TerryRose Yes, I’m sleeping without covers, which I’ve never been able to do before and having to have the windows open… not that there’s much fresh air coming in.

Also, how bloody difficult is turning over in bed now 🙈

@Normando91 oh turning in bed is horrific !! Really feeling it in the last week or so even more like I actually dread it !! So it's a nightmare having to get up to pee it's like a workout 🤣

Baby girl born at 8.43 this morning after an emergency vacuum delivery.
I'm knackered. But she's perfect.

Nothing new with me. 39 weeks today and hoping for some signs soon!

@TerryRose I toss and turn all night, let out a little scream every time 🙈😂 Can’t wait for that pain to disappear!

@TerryRose Sleep has been an issue for me since week 24 as I got awful pubic bone pain, so turning over and side sleeping is AWFUL, i literally hold my breathe when I have to turn, I sleep kinda sat up, and usually side sleep when I’m unaware of the pain!

I’ve been getting BH in my back today, awful, gripping tight squeezing pain 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
