We’re coming to the end of our last thread so here is, hopefully, the final instalment of our journeys. I’m going to compile a list of due dates and births from the last thread and I’ll post them below.

Hopefully we’ll have lots more baby announcements on the way! How is everyone doing?

@TerryRose oh love 😩😩😩😩😩😩 sounds so tough , you will get through this! Are you interested in giving her an expressed bottle that your husband could to give you a little break?

swiftt · 10/08/2021 20:25

We’ve outgrown most of the 0-3 clothes already too! 8 weeks tomorrow but she was almost 13lb when she was last weighed at 7 weeks - such a wee chunk.

@TerryRose

My LO is just 7 weeks and has outgrown all her 0-3 month clothes , she's 11 pounds and had chunky legs and big feet , so cute but so sad packing the clothes away earlier than expected ! Going through a cluster feed again at the moment and battling with wind , the things they don't tell you about EBF!
Yip we are still the same, only down for an hour at a time and seems to be struggling to pass wind 💨 (he's a farter not a burper 🙈) he's also not done many poo's about 3 in over 2 weeks! I hope your night is going better tonight and you managed ok yesterday! Your doing amazing!
BabyBumpIncoming · 11/08/2021 02:04

@Waitingforbabypage my wee boy is also close to out growing his Moses (not sure what weight he is, gets weighed next week) as he is so long and I was wondering the same. We have a next to me crib so thinking it will need to be that but would much prefer him still to be near by down stairs 😩

serenfach1 · 11/08/2021 16:44

Hi! Just a quick one - as you're talking about your baby growing out clothes - to let you know about vest extenders! They pop into the poppers of baby's vests / bodysuits giving you some extra wear from them. You can get them on eBay... Etsy... And Amazon (of course!). They fit onto the poppers of most clothes brands. Smile Flowers

TerryRose · 17/08/2021 20:22

@serenfach1 oh super idea must look into those as my LO is flying through clothes .

We have the two month vaccines on Friday , dreading it, hope she won't be unsettled after it 🙈

Hope everyone is getting on well ? Baby is doing well , my house is a tip, clothes everywhere 🤣 but glad to have a healthy baba

serenfach1 · 17/08/2021 20:46

My LO has his vaccinations next week @terryrose

I have a much more chilled baby this time round compared to my first who had reflux and was an incredibly crap sleeper, so I'm feeling blessed. I'm aware this could all change though as he's only 7 weeks old.

Hope everyone is doing ok Flowers

Sitchervice · 17/08/2021 22:47

@TerryRose mine had his vaccines today. He's a little on the warm side and very clingy. Crying between feeds

AnxiousAnnie86 · 18/08/2021 08:00

Awww I'm dreading it, mine were supposed to be today, but she had been really sick in the morning, so they wanted to wait.

Can I ask what time is everyone doing bedtimes?? We currently start our routine at nine but that feels late, tried half an hour earlier last night but she didn't settle as well.

She's two months tomorrow xxx

BabyBumpIncoming · 18/08/2021 15:51

@serenfach1 that's a great wee tip about the poppers!

@TerryRose my wee one gets his on Friday too 😢 hope he is ok after

@AnxiousAnnie86 we haven't started with a bedtime yet, it's just dependant on when he wants feeding. We are between 7.30 - 9 usually

TerryRose · 18/08/2021 19:24

@AnxiousAnnie86 hope your baba is feeling better.
We have no bed time 🤣🙈 I do try and get down into bed at 10 or 11 and breastfeed to sleep, she doesn't really go to sleep without feeding unless in the car . I do wonder if she should be going to sleep by herself yet or if I should have a routine but every day is different. Some nights she sleeps a good chunk but others she wakes every 2/3 hours 🤔

BabyBumpIncoming · 19/08/2021 09:59

@TerryRose had your LO been better at sleeping after the few sleepless nights the other week? Mine slept from 9.30-4am the other night, it was a miracle 😂 hoping for more of the same! Was a decent night last night with only one feed at 3am🤞🏻 were passed the up every hour for a wee while at least!

TerryRose · 19/08/2021 16:19

@BabyBumpIncoming oh wow I wouldn't know what to do if she slept that long haha that's brilliant.
My one has a good sleep last night but it wasn't great the night before so no consistency at all yet.

She had her 2 month vaccines today so I'm assuming tonight will be rough 🙈

BabyBumpIncoming · 21/08/2021 15:20

Haha, think it's was just a fluke - hasn't happened since although getting 3/4hour stints which is fine.
Hope your wee girl was ok after her jags? My LO had his yesterday and took it like a wee trooper, I had built myself up for a full melt down and me crying in the GP's haha.

AlRRRR · 25/08/2021 05:39

Did anyone ever hear anything about fighting to be positive lady who has loads of issues in pregnancy? :)

serenfach1 · 25/08/2021 19:52

Evening all! How were your littles after their jabs? Did you find that their sleep was disturbed on night 1 or night 2 after getting them? My son's got a cough so his have been postponed but it clashes with a friend's leaving do and I'm wondering whether to move his jabs forward.

@airrrr sorry my lovely I don't understand your last post... Could definitely be my baby brain though Confused

AlRRRR · 25/08/2021 20:15

@serenfach1 hahaha no, it’s ok, there was a lady (a mum to be) called ‘fighting to be positive’ and she had some issues during pregnancy and was going to update us and I’m not sure if she ever found this thread when we filled the last one up :) I just wondered if anyone has any news if she was ok and stuff after baby came :)

Fightingtobepositive · 25/08/2021 20:26

Hello @AIRRRR
I am good thank you, little boy was born on the 23 april, 6 weeks and 2 days early. He spent 12 days in scbu and was home with us. He is amazing! What a rollercoaster of a pregnancy but here we are so thankful for this amazing human.

How are you doing? Xx

Fightingtobepositive · 25/08/2021 20:27

@AlRRRR thank you for adding me to the new thread. All issues worked out 🙏 and was all down to my hormones. But there was a little more to add before we had our perfect little family settled.
Explained above!

Hope everyone is well

AlRRRR · 25/08/2021 20:34

@Fightingtobepositive oh I am so glad!!!! I always wondered if your issues all aren’t away, I am so glad they did! Xxx

Tangled123 · 25/08/2021 23:12

@serenfach1 I didn’t notice much change in how my wee girl slept after her jabs on Monday, but we gave her 3 lots of calpol to help and she was a bit more fussy when she was awake. We went on a day trip the same day but, in hindsight, it probably would have been better to stay at home.

Anyone’s baby rolling over yet? Mine has mastered rolling from her tummy on to her back. She’s currently trying to figure out how to put her finger in her mouth but hasn’t quite mastered it yet 😂

AnxiousAnnie86 · 26/08/2021 07:42

@serenfach1 my baby wasn't very well after her jabs, she had a high temp she slept a LOT during the second day and just wanted to be held all day, the 2nd night she was awake from 1-5am which is unlike her as she's a good sleeper, seems back to normal by day 3 though x

serenfach1 · 26/08/2021 09:03

Thanks @Tangled123 @anxiousannie86

I might see if I can move his jabs then.

My little one has not rolled yet. That's an exciting milestone!

Can I also ask whether postpartum hormones are wreaking havoc with your skin? I've got a red, bumpy, flakey patch on my face next to my nose and I'm sure it's hormone related. I had the same with my first, in the same place! Not sure whether it's eczema or something else. It's really bugging me. I'm moisturising it but it's not going away.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 26/08/2021 09:32

@serenfach1 my skin is terrible!! I have spots all along my jaw!!!

Question for all BF mums, do you need to up your water intake when breast feeding? I feel like I'm permanently hungover!!! I asked my HV and she said water intake didn't increase breast milk.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 26/08/2021 09:33

@serenfach1 I deffo won't plan little ones next jabs around anything, she literally needed to be held the full day after. But some babies are totally fine! Her temp was quite high at 37.6 x
