Hi all!

Just got my BFP! Approximately 3 weeks and 6 days. Due date calculator has put me to give birth around 8th January. Feeling so nervous, have had two MCs and then thankfully a much loved DC. Symptoms currently are extremely sore boobs, mild cramping, and upper hip / thigh pain on my right leg! Would love to chat to others who've just found out and want somewhere to refer back to!

@zeromango I am willing my boobs to be sore because they were last time and arent yet this time! I'm getting quite stressed about it all truth be told haha. Last time I lived in a bubble of denial and barely speaking to anyone about it until after my 12 week scan!

Katiekattty · 03/05/2021 20:28

Mine has disappeared today except for the tiredness. I had morning sickness all weekend and today I’m fine no sore boobs or cramps. But I’m wondering if it’s because I have tiny meals more frequent because otherwise I feel ill.

bages1977 · 03/05/2021 20:34

Thanks guys, I'll get on to the go tomorrow and if I can see them straight away I'll head to boots/supermarket for some treatment.

I'm not even sure if it is a UTI but just trying to find out what the reason for all this cramping and thousand trips to the toilet are being caused by. I know you go more often when pregnant but this is constant and just a little at a time.

Just hope these cramps stop soon and I'll feel so much more relaxed. I was having so many throughout the night I had to do a test today to make sure and the test line is way darker than the control line. I know that doesn't always mean everything is ok but makes me feel a bit more relaxed. The cramps are just a really dull ache, like a bad period.

@bages1977 how many weeks/days are you now? My tests haven't been near that dark 😬

bages1977 · 03/05/2021 20:49

@Missingcoffee22 I'm roughly 5 weeks today. I found out last Monday and it was a really faint line which I was questioning whether it might be an evap and now they're so dark. I've heard people say that the level of darkness doesn't mean much though.

Roll on trimester 2 when we can all stop worrying, underwear checking and testing a million times a week! I had a MC this year and I think it's made me paranoid. Just wish you could have earlier scans than 12 weeks. Think I'm going to wait another 2 weeks and maybe prebook a private scan at 8 weeks. Can't wait until the first scan!

Missingcoffee22 · 03/05/2021 20:51

@bages1977 I found out last Tuesday... my line was so faint I was sure it wasn't there! Had a really good line on a frer on Thursday though.

bages1977 · 03/05/2021 20:55

@Missingcoffee22 it's weird how quickly they start to darken. I think I'll just keep an eye on the digital weeks indicator now. I have one of those spare so might see how it's progressing mid week 🙈😂 God I'm a woman obsessed!

How many weeks are you now?

Will be nice to get a couple more weeks ahead when there's heartbeat etc. Think it will feel more real!

Missingcoffee22 · 03/05/2021 20:58

@bages1977 I think 5 weeks tomorrow technically although my cycle was lengthening each month so maybe a little less really. I took a cheapie yesterday and it was darker but not super. I am not going to be able to resist another tomorrow... but need to step away! And yes much more reassuring when you hear heartbeat, then feel them move etc

bages1977 · 03/05/2021 21:16

@Missingcoffee22 were on very similar dates then ☺️ Haha well be keeping them in business with all tests us lot have been taking

zeromango · 04/05/2021 08:23

Morning all how are we? Will be calling the GP this morning to book in! Eek.

Had incredibly bad cramping last night for about 10 mins it was awful - it did stop and feel fine today but ugh it was really worrying I was nearly in tears from the pain! I started spotting around 4 days after expected AF last time so knicker checking is my new hobby at the moment Grinfeeling beyond tired this morning and aching everywhere. Also keep testing!! You guys are no alone. Just makes me happy tbh seeing the line come up so fast.

Lovely line @zeromango !
I tested with a digital today and got 3+ so I'm a lot less anxious now! :)
My OTD (as it's ivf) is tomorrow so I will get to phone them with the good news tomorrow

I'm wondering when best to tell everyone. Like my parents and partners parents

Missingcoffee22 · 04/05/2021 08:33

I wrote a post with a picture but can't see it! Oh well. Darker line this morning. And feeling super nauseous. Came over all hot suddenly and thought I was actually going to be sick 😷 but luckily not yet

Firsttry132 · 04/05/2021 08:51

@zeromango I woke up nauseas again, but no cramping which im not sure if I like or not 😂 taking my nephew swimming today so it’ll keep my mind off things! I’ve decided to step away from the tests now as they just make me more anxious! X

Katiekattty · 04/05/2021 08:54

Morning, is there such a thing as nausea in your sleep. I was quite awake this morning but vaguely remember feeling really nauseous. I’m going to self refer with midwife today. I’m doing it earlier than planned because I told some trusts have delays for important testing due to covid.

zeromango · 04/05/2021 09:06

@Missingcoffee22 oh no!! Feel free to post the photo again though I love seeing tests! Grin

Have a telephone booking in appointment in a couple of weeks. They did say changes are being made to midwife care at the GP (I suspect because of covid) but it's nice to have a couple of pregnancy related things in the diary this month as it feels more real! Scan end of the month and now the booking appointment! Just so hope little bean sticks around long enough.

@willithappen thank you! Hooray for 3+ how lovely! And how exciting you get to tell them the good news! Star Do you have any other children? What does DP think? With telling people it's such a personal choice of when and how isn't it - I always say I will tell close family early for support during a possible miscarriage but then I never do! We are going to wait until 12 weeks again I think, although will see how we get on for now

@Katiekattty I don't know why they call it morning sickness - it can happen any time! That sounds awful being nauseous in your sleep! Surely it's the one time you get away from all the symptoms I hope it settles down for you soon! I've bought some decaf ginger tea to try, I'll let you know if it helps! I just called our GP this morning too, definitely better to get booked in early just in case of delays etc.

@Firsttry132 sounds lovely!! Have a great time, we're opposites - I'll swap you my cramps for your nausea Grin only symptoms this morning are super sore boobs (they're bloody massive haha) and mild cramping. Luckily that awful pain from last night didn't return but still a bit on edge today!

It's probably far too early to be getting this stuff, but I downloaded the Emma's Diary app and will be picking up the free packs today - I love a freebie haha!

@zeromango I think I am waiting on a letter for my booking in appointment, but no idea if over the phone or in person! Just had an email with a pdf of usual info attached.

I'm toing and froing over an early scan. The only time available mean I'd have to go in by myself so DH can be with DD.

I've tried again to post photo of my tests!

Firsttry132 · 04/05/2021 09:27

@zeromango my boobs aren’t sore at all really, but I wasn’t blessed in that department I’m only an A cup 😂 they never hurt around AF either so I just assume that’s the norm for me! I’m sure that cramp last night was your little one just getting super cosy ready for the next 9 months! I’m 5 weeks on Thursday so I’m going to wait until then to refer, where I live the GP doesn’t see us, we just self-refer to the midwife and we get an appointment (roughly around the 10 week mark I think!) I referred myself really early last time and felt a bit embarrassed when I miscarried, so just holding out a little bit! I also work where I’m registered, so if I refer myself it’ll come up on my notes and I don’t want my boss finding out that way 😂 so many things to think about!

zeromango · 04/05/2021 09:30

@Missingcoffee22 Corrrr that progression is making me all tingly Grin beautiful lines!! And it's so so reassuring when they get darker. It means your HCG is doubling nicely! All my tests are different I do wish I'd bought the same brand to see the lines changing! Maybe the next baby Wink

So tricky isn't it - How early are you thinking? My local private scan place only do 7 weeks upward and it might cause more worry having a super early scan (I remember last time nothing could be seen in EPU until two weeks later - I think I wore Google out that night!!) so maybe it would be nicer to go with DP and DD a week or so later so there might be more possibly of seeing something? That's just my thoughts anyway!

Missingcoffee22 · 04/05/2021 09:33

@zeromango yeah so I was aiming for about 8 weeks, before we go and see my pil when I'll be 9 weeks. I think taking DD in would be a pain because she's just so hyper and curious. But they don't have anything while she is at nursery, only weekend or evening times. And can't do evenings as DH works too late. They must book up really far in advance!

Katiekattty · 04/05/2021 09:38

And the phone lines for midwife seems super busy. I’m thinking of doing an early scan too but I don’t know if I really want but it would be nice for reassurance. I’ve been looking at groupon deals.

bages1977 · 04/05/2021 09:55

Lovely line pics everyone!

I though I was 5 weeks yesterday but I think I might be just under 5 now. I did a CB digital week indicator on Friday which said 2-3 weeks. Did one again this morning and I'm still on 2-3. I think I may have ovulated a couple of days later.

Still got period like cramps every so often throughout the day. I panic when I get them and panic when I don't 🙈😂

willithappen · 04/05/2021 10:01

@zeromango this is first baby yeah :)
Partner wants to tell everyone haha

I have had a mmc before when I was 18 so I know the risks and super worried about that.
The clinic will give me a 7 week scan and then hopefully discharge me from ivf clinic and back to GP! I don't think I will get any earlier scan than that one. I might go for another private after at around 11 weeks because it's my birthday 17th June and part of me wants to tell my parents then :)

RHODXB · 04/05/2021 13:13
