Hi all!

Just got my BFP! Approximately 3 weeks and 6 days. Due date calculator has put me to give birth around 8th January. Feeling so nervous, have had two MCs and then thankfully a much loved DC. Symptoms currently are extremely sore boobs, mild cramping, and upper hip / thigh pain on my right leg! Would love to chat to others who've just found out and want somewhere to refer back to!

I have also been testing like a mad woman. I think it just makes me feel better knowing the line is still there 🙈 did a digital this morning and got 2-3 weeks. Will probably do one next week seen as i have a spare one to see how it's going!

I keep feeling like my period is coming too. I have waves of nausea and period like cramps that last about 10 mins, 3-4 times a day. Have to come and have a lie down until they pass.

Anyone else just wishing the next few weeks away? I want to enjoy being pregnant but feel like I want to get to 8 weeks before I can relax a bit.

@zeromango I’m the exact same as you every time I go to the toilet I check my knickers and breathe a sigh of relief! I’ve got nausea and the past 2 days I’ve been constipated and windy, and today’s the other end of the scale 🥴 never felt so happy to feel so sick I love it! X

zeromango · 01/05/2021 10:34

@willithappen how fantastic, huge congratulations! My symptoms keep coming and going, so try not to worry too much Thanks so much easier said than done I know! I hope the 3 weeks fly for you. I'm super tempted to book in a private scan for a few weeks, usually I bleed and have always been referred to EPU (even with my live baby) but really hoping I don't this time!

For those who haven't had the covid vaccine yet will you be getting it during pregnancy?

Wow @Drl94 so much you had to go through but how amazing you were able to conceive so quickly, that must have been such a relief! The Pregnancy+ app actually shows images week by week which I think is super useful! So this may be similar to what you see at your scan! Haha yes I'm embracing sore twinge at the moment!

@bages1977 totally in the same boat, can't stop testing "to make sure" but I like to think that we all got through the TWW pretty quickly so hopefully a few more weeks shouldn't be too bad! I'm binging a load of rubbish on Netflix to keep me distracted! The period type cramps are the pits aren't they I keep thinking AF Is gonna show any moment!

@Firsttry132 glad it's not just me suffering on that end Grin super gassy too!

@zeromango I won’t be having the covid vaccine till after I give birth I don’t think, unless they publish more info about it!
My birthday is in January too so I’m hoping it doesn’t come on it😂😂 x

zeromango · 01/05/2021 11:23

@Firsttry132 I'm the same I'm just so unsure at the moment but I read it's not usually offered until the third trimester anyway so gives us plenty of time to decide!

Just tested again - still can't believe it! Won't test now for a few weeks just for peace of mind. How many weeks can CB digital go up to?

@zeromango it only goes to 3+ weeks :)
I got a 2-3 on mine today and works about right as I am 11dp5dt so puts me about 16 days post ovulation usually

Katiekattty · 01/05/2021 13:44

Hi all,

I got my BFP yesterday I was waiting for my period to come on. I tested Wednesday with a bfn and I didn’t bother Thursday. I randomly decided to test yesterday because I didn’t come on, expecting a bfn. I ordered a CB digital and it came today pregnant 1-2 due the 6th Jan.

RHODXB · 01/05/2021 13:53

Hi everyone! Just got BFP after a chemical in feb and being told in March I
Was unlikely to get pregnant naturally! So big big shock. Had some spotting the day I found out so feeling anxious after last chemical but so far very strong positives on tests and lots of nausea and heartburn so keeping everything crossed 🤞 good luck everyone! Have a docs appt next week but not in UK. Hoping for an early scan. @Mich86ellen I also have a 9 year old who will be 10 on jan 15th and this one will be due around jan 4th so big gap for us too!

Missingcoffee22 · 01/05/2021 14:02

Congratulations everyone 😊 I am due my 2nd on 4th January all things being well 🤞

zeromango · 01/05/2021 15:13

Welcome everyone and congratulations! @RHODXB what an absolute miracle! Keeping everything crossed for you. Strong positives are always reassuring. I had bleeding and spotting in my last pregnancy and it was absolutely fine - it's so so hard to know what's normal as every pregnancy is so different!

I've just booked in a scan for when I turn 8 weeks (just for reassurance!) and it's great as they allow in partners and children which will be lovely! And it will bridge that gap between now and the 12 week scan (if I'm lucky enough to make it that far!)

Firsttry132 · 01/05/2021 16:01

@zeromango me and my partner are wanting one between 8/9 weeks too! How exciting!! Xxx

bages1977 · 01/05/2021 19:32

So I have a confession to make.... I've just done another test today because my boobs didn't seem to hurt as much as before and I got scared.

The test line is way darker than the control line. Think it's time I took a step away from the tests. Well that was my last spare one anyway so roll on the anxiety of not being able to test all the time 😂

That really dark one has made me feel loads better though!

Missingcoffee22 · 01/05/2021 19:40

@bages1977 I have taken several since my bfp too and spent wayyyy to much time analysing progression. I have been comparing to 1st time with really sore boobs before period was even due, when they aren't bad at all yet this time. We must stop!

bages1977 · 01/05/2021 20:24

@Missingcoffee22 I know, I just enjoy that fairly reminder that I'm pregnant 🙈

Going to book in for a reassurance scan soon. Does anyone know if they get booked up quick? I'm also a bit hesitant in case something bad happens and then I won't be able to cancel it. Thinking of booking it for when I'm 8 weeks and maybe booking a week before if possible.

zeromango · 01/05/2021 21:03

@bages1977 OMG I also tested today because my boobs stopped hurting and I panicked! They're started up again now but need to keep reminding ourselves symptoms will fluctuate. As long as there is no heavy bleeding or bad cramping it's all ok!

I decided to book for 8 weeks because most private scan companies don't seem to offer scans any earlier than 7 weeks and it says if your dates are wrong they won't refund (of course) so I thought 8 weeks would be best as it gives me an extra week if dates are slightly out, but might be more to see if I'm actually 8 weeks! Feeling so nervous because the only time I've ever been scanned at 5/6 weeks is because of bleeding, so while I'd love the reassurance at 6 weeks, I don't want to bleed - but then it's an even longer wait to find out if everything is ok! We live in the 21st century - surely a bloody time machine is in the works by now Grin

@Firsttry132 Groupon are always doing really good deals, I've managed to get an appointment on a Saturday for only £50 and you can part pay now which will help lessen the cost, I was pleasantly surprised at how many time slots they had. Hope you manage to get one booked in!

bages1977 · 01/05/2021 21:17

@zeromango yeah 8 weeks sounds like a good idea just to be sure. I might book one in for the week starting 24th May as I should be 8 weeks by then or at least 7 if I'm a little out. Might leave booking it for another week just in case

demiallen · 01/05/2021 21:22

Yes!! I've just done a pregnancy test 2 days ago and I'm due 07 January 2022. I only had a daughter 1 year ago and my oldest is 4 in October 😧

zeromango · 01/05/2021 21:25

@bages1977 good plan! Mine is booked for the 29th, I thought having a scan actually in this month would help a lot! Then will wait for the 12 week scan offered by the NHS.

@demiallen welcome and huge congratulations!

Today’s a bit of an anxious day for me as this is how far I got last time before my miscarriage, I started bleeding 5 days after I got my BFP and then continue to test positive for 2 weeks even though I was bleeding on and off, lines kept getting darker etc, and they told me I need to wait 2 weeks until they’ll do anything, then I finally got my scan after 2 weeks and it was confirmed💔 but anyway, this is a new pregnancy, I feel sick as anything which is good! Sorry for the long paragraph 😂 good morning and happy Sunday mamas 🤍

bages1977 · 02/05/2021 08:07

@Firsttry132 aww it must be a really difficult day. I have that day coming up within the next week too and I'm dreading it. Like you said though, this is a new pregnancy and we just got to try and enjoy it and stay positive. Although that's easier said that done!

Firsttry132 · 02/05/2021 08:10

@bages1977 yeah definitely I’m trying not to think about it too much! I would have been due this month as well so I’m just so so happy I’m pregnant for it otherwise I would have found it very hard! Good luck though 🤍

RHODXB · 02/05/2021 13:24

Had a bit of a panic as I didn't feel sick at alll today and cramping but my boobs are so sore so just trying to resist testing again! Spending a fortune on digitals! Wanting to see that number change to 3+! Has anyone ever had 3+ flash up several times before the test settles on 2-3 weeks?
