Hi all!

Just got my BFP! Approximately 3 weeks and 6 days. Due date calculator has put me to give birth around 8th January. Feeling so nervous, have had two MCs and then thankfully a much loved DC. Symptoms currently are extremely sore boobs, mild cramping, and upper hip / thigh pain on my right leg! Would love to chat to others who've just found out and want somewhere to refer back to!

@Firsttry132 oh bless you, it's a bloody horrible time isn't it, when you should just been feeling excited! I'm trying to tell myself there is absolutely nothing I can do to stop a MC, so just trying to enjoy every day with the little bean and just hope for the best. Have you found anything to help the nausea yet?! Just bought some pregnancy vitamins with added ginger, and just made some ginger biscuits with DD for ... y'know ... medicinal purposes and to keep myself occupied?

@RHODXB it's awful isn't it I woke up with zero symptoms and was so worried, but boobs have started up again and intermittent nausea! So wish I'd wrote down all the symptoms of my last pregnancy so I wouldn't keep worrying what's normal or not! Around my period last time I started spotting, hoping it doesn't come back this time! I think the CB digitals only work up to 3 weeks anyway (somebody had mentioned on here) so try not to worry too much Thanks

@zeromango I’m the same I’m just taking each day as it comes at the moment, and loving every single second 🥰🥰 I’ve not tried anything but I heard ginger biscuits help so I’ll have to get myself some!
@RHODXB I’ve heard not to read too much into digitals, easier said than done but try to just put the tests down, unless you get bleeding or very bad cramps just assume all is well 🤍 before my miscarriage 3+ kept flashing but then always gave me 1-2 so I don’t think it means anything I think it’s just the test thinking about it! Please try not to worry! X

Had fatigue hit anybody yet?! 4+2 weeks now. Was doing absolutely fine and then ...BAM. Have hardly been able to function all day! I have rocks for boobs, stuffy nose and I could sleep for days - what a magical time Grin

willithappen · 02/05/2021 19:48

@zeromango I'm same as you 4+2 and also feeling pretty tired but I have been like this a few days. I slept 13 hours on Wednesday 😬
I'm on progesterone pessaries also though so thought that might be part of reason
sat on sofa now thinking I could snooze, also feeling really hot!

MrsRyan15 · 02/05/2021 20:13

Hi can I join. Got my BFP today, due 7th Jan. Also an obsessive knicker cheker 😂

Missingcoffee22 · 02/05/2021 20:53

@zeromango I've been falling asleep on the couch every night... and in the middle of the day today 😬 until my toddler got really upset that I was asleep and cried at me until I got up (she was playing with her dad, but apparently even so I can't rest 😂)

zeromango · 03/05/2021 09:07

Morning all! How are we? Just logging my symptoms so I can refer back really! 4+3 - woke with slightly sore boobs, cramping is very very mild now... and that's it really!

@Missingcoffee22 haha being pregnant with a little one is definitely different to the first time round isn't it it Grin was so peaceful and relaxing! Definitely a good distraction though! I had to come upstairs yesterday and nap for 40 mins I'm normally so productive... it was so nice! Not looking forward to DP being back at work on Tuesday haha I'm already feeling so rubbish

@MrsRyan15 oh so lovely! Huge congratulations and a big welcome. Today's knicker report - nothing phew!

@willithappen I feel you!! Glad there's somebody the same number of weeks! Not too long to go until your scan, keeping every hint crossed for you! Are you having any symptoms today?

Ladies please talk me down ... can't stop googling missed miscarriages. Trying to stay positive clearly not working Grin I've had both a normal MC and a MMC previously and I'm just utterly convinced this one won't stick which is just an awful way to to think, either it happens or it doesn't but having gone through it before just puts you in a totally different mindset doesn't it Sad

Missingcoffee22 · 03/05/2021 09:11

@zeromango must be so hard not to overthink when you've had losses before. The cruelty of a mmc is there isn't really any way of knowing so have to just try to put it out of mind. I was so naive to it all first pregnancy but know so much more since joining my first MN group, so I'm also super paranoid.

Am feeling really quite nauseous today. My toddler just fed me some dry cracker, which helps tbf 😂

Firsttry132 · 03/05/2021 10:15

@zeromango I’m super nauseous, tired and still having very mild cramps! Im so anxious as well I can’t stop myself! I keep trying to think positive but if I’m not worrying about an early MC I’m worrying about when I’m further along and how I’ll deal with movements etc and I’m ageeeees off that yet!!
Doesn’t January seem a lifetime away?!? X

zeromango · 03/05/2021 11:07

@Firsttry132 @Missingcoffee22 - with you both on the nausea!! It's so bad right now, it comes in random bouts. So so glad to have others to chat to, even makes me happy we all have similar symptoms because as lovely as DP is being, he won't really get how it feels! It does make me happy I'm feeling crappy Grin because it's just a nice little reminder we've actually done it!

OP posts:
Missingcoffee22 · 03/05/2021 11:10

@Firsttry123 it does... which I'm half wishing would speed by, and half glad I have a while yet 😂

Drl94 · 03/05/2021 11:46

Another one for feeling Nauseous! As someone said earlier I'm so happy to be feeling sick haha!!

I took ANOTHER pregnancy test today and it changed from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks so hopefully going the right direction! I know it means nothing but I just like to see it going in the right direction but I have no tests left and I'm not buying anymore!!!

I sent my form off today to midwives (have to self refer in manchester) so just now waiting to hear back. It was this week (in my last pregnancy that I had my ectopic) so I'm just trying to stay positive and not believe that every pain or cramp is the same thing haha!

Hope we are all feeling good today xx

Fallen87 · 03/05/2021 12:46

Hey all, I hope you don't mind me joining in. New member here. I've got my bfp this morning, confirmed on 2 tests. I would have a due date of Jan 14th, which makes me smile as my dd is on the 11th and dh is the 18th. My gosh I'm going to have no money in January for all the birthdays!

This will be my 2nd child, dd is 9, 10 by due date so its a bit of a gap. A little scary.

I hope you are all well, and it would be lovely to make some friends

@RHODXB I also have a 9 year old who turns 10 on Jan the 11th.

Timeandtidal · 03/05/2021 12:57

Congratulations everyone! 💛Please may I join? Got BFP only yesterday and due 9 Jan.
I've had two early losses around 5 weeks so I'm just hoping this bean sticks!
I've got very painful boobs (which I constantly feel to check they still hurt for reassurance!), very tired but no nausea which I hope isn't a sign of anything wrong. I'm literally 4 weeks so very early.
Sending you all luck for next few weeks.

bages1977 · 03/05/2021 13:18

Welcome and congratulations on your BFP's!

I think I've fingered out that my cramping may be a UTI as I'm going to the toilet a lot (which I know is common) but only little bits come out each time and when I have been I get relief from the cramps for a little while.

Anyone had a UTI before? I've never had one but I'm feeling like this might be. It doesn't hurt to pee though it's just crampy and feel a lot of pressure on my bladder. It's stopping me from doing things throughout the day! Will have to cal the dr tomorrow. Oh the joys of early pregnancy 😂🙄

zeromango · 03/05/2021 15:56

@bages1977 if you have no luck with the GP, Boots sell their own UTI testing kit which was great, dead east to use - you download the app alongside it and it tells you if you have one or not! Hopefully you'll be seen soon anyway as you're pregnant, but wanted to mention it anyway!

OP posts:
zeromango · 03/05/2021 15:57

@bages1977 I had similar pains a while ago hence why I bought the testing kit in the first place, I found the cystitis sachets really helpful too and it cleared up within a few days of using them! Again not sure if they're suitable for pregnancy but if they are it might be worth trying until you can be seen

zeromango · 03/05/2021 16:05

Welcome @Timeandtidal! Huge congrats and welcome - you're a very similar timeframe to me, also keep checking boobs can never work out if half of it's in my head! No nausea isn't anything to worry about, mine comes and goes and I'm absolutely fine at the moment! Sometimes I think am I anxious about symptoms anyway so is that making me feel sick?! Who flipping knows 😂 Keeping everything crossed for you a fair few of us here have had MCs and honestly it the early days before feeling baby is so hard!

@Fallen87 welcome! Haha wow a busy month - but it's also the month of SALES so you should be absolutely fine how exciting!

@Drl94 So sorry about your ectopic, definitely feels reassuring testing - you just have to do what gets you through these early weeks! I'll be taking another tomorrow haha! How interesting you have to self refer it all seems so different now! I'm going to phone the GP tomorrow and see what the process is here for midwife appointments - definitely going to make it feel a little more real!

Does anyone ever feel a bit sad when they don’t feel sick etc? I’ve not felt sick for about an hour and it really worries me😂 x

It worries me a little but mostly I'm just relieved when I don't feel sick. The toddler has watched too much peppa today and I'm only at week 5 🤦‍♀️
zeromango · 03/05/2021 18:57

@Missingcoffee22 just replace peppa with Duggee .... not alone Grin

Haha yes good to know I'm not the only one!!

Timeandtidal · 03/05/2021 19:31

@bages1977 I've had too many UTIs! As others have said the sachets of powder are helpful. I've picked them up in supermarket if pharmacy is shut. The key is to do what you can to stop the infection spreading up your urinary tract so drink drink drink. Water with a couple drops of apple cider vinegar is good. Avoid tea and coffee and diuretics and anything too accidic eg tomato soup. Also take a fresh urine test in whatever vessel you can find(!) to GP. Saves you doing it there which I personally prefer.

@zeromango thanks! Lovely to know I'm not alone in all the worry and compulsive boob grabbing. I'll have to restrain myself at work tomorrow! 😁

zeromango · 03/05/2021 20:01

@Timeandtidal hahaha if anybody asks just say you're admiring them ... I mean you have to admit boobs are pretty bloody fabulous Grin great advice with UTIs too I didn't know half of that so will refer back if needed!

OP posts:
zeromango · 03/05/2021 20:03

Feel like all my symptoms have vanished this evening! Anyone else? Probably because I've been so busy I haven't had time to focus ... now I'm doing some boob poking and trying to feel for cramps! I'm even driving myself mad at this stage..... sigh Grin
