@jellybean13419 I don’t have a date yet. The midwife said she’d do an electronic referral today for my 12 and 20 week scans and they’ll let me know. I suppose it varies from area to area.

I've had scans privately at 6 and 8 weeks plus a scan and the harmony test at 10 weeks. All good but the worry just doesn't stop!

@Jl2020 I’ve been exactly the same with sleeping so I know what U mean. I’ve been having strange dreams, but in like a half asleep half awake daze. I’m exhausted tho.... I love my sleep and I’ve been waking early every day too ( and I’m normally someone who could sleep easily till 10am 😂 )

Insomnia here too. My girl gets up for a feed around 4am. I'm normally exhausted, but by time I sort her, nip to the loo, have a drink then I'm normally super hungry and wide awake 🤷🏻‍♀️ starting to get annoying when she is fast asleep and I can't dose off. I can't believe how different pregnancies can be, I didn't have insomnia with my first till 36 weeks.

@jellybean13419 it's strange isn't it feeling not quite real. How far along are you now? I'm looking forward to getting by the first trimester. Yes I was thinking movements might help it sink in as 3 scans haven't lol x

@Drumstick1223 13 weeks tomorrow, so basically out the first trimester now! Into the awkward is she getting fat or is she pregnant phase now 😂 leading the way over here with 1st Oct due date!

morning ladies! hope we are all well!.
Can definitely relate to the weird sleeping habits!!. Although for me getting to sleep isn't a bother its the mental dreams I keep having! lol.
Have woke up a few mornings now like what on earth is wrong with me haha. You would honestly think after already having two DC I would be prepared for it by now but nope lol.
The gaggy nausea feeling has started to rear its head again this morning so I'm praying with all I have that it doesn't transpire to the sickness I had last time! Are you ladies having any other weird symptoms?, or ones that differ from previous pregnancies?, for me I keep getting these weird hot and cold episodes one minute I am absolutely roasting running to turn the heating off, the next minute I'm chittering away running to turn it on! seems there's no in between! lol.
Also I would love to join the Fb group too if that would be ok?, I was part of one with my first child years ago and they were a great way to ask for advice.

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me jumping on! I'm 11+5 due 9th October! This will be my 2nd. My DD is turning 1 on Monday. Finding this pregnancy quite tough compared to my first. I have had hurrendous nausea from around 6 weeks and I have painful cystic acne all over my chin. Mourning my pre baby body and generally feeling so sad that I look really unwell. I know I should probably just woman up and get on with it but my hormones are going crazy. My dating scan is on Tuesday so looking forward to that at least! Hope all you ladies are well and congrats to you all! Amazing to be sharing this journey with each other 💖

Only just noticed this new thread!! Was trying to post on the old one for ages and for some reason didn't get the notification I had been tagged in this....

Got my scan letter today - appointment is a week on Saturday!! Eeekk!!

Definitely feels quite real now and excited/nervous for the scan.... so hope it's all ok. But looking forward to telling people!

The letter doesn't specify anything about needing a full bladder etc before the scan so do I just assume I don't?

@pixiedust21 definitely full bladder as it help give a clearer scan picture they generally make you go back outside and drink more water until your bladders full, wee tip(excuse the pun😅)if you can, try and walk about or stand up ( obviously covid dependant with waiting room etcp) as it helps the water reach your bladder quicker, advice a midwife gave me many moons ago and it honestly does work ,good luck for your scan I have a scan booked for when am 13 +3 and it feels like forever away 😂

@sargeantsaltnpepper89 ahh thank you that is good advice, I am not really looking forward to busting for a wee while waiting so I hope the appointment is on time

@pixiedust21 I was totally the same as you! But as soon as I'd checked in and barely got my bum on a seat I was called through. So fingers crossed you have the same luck! And the toilets were placed directly outside the scan rooms 😂 not long to go now for you! Xx

Would love to join but want to hold out until after scan, next Wednesday and 13 weeks......

@jellybean13419 ahh well that's good, hopefully it will be the same for me, I'm sure they're trying not to leave people waiting for too long in hospital so fingers crossed it will all be fairly on time!

It feels like it's taken an absolute age to get to this point, in some ways I felt I'd never get to the scan, or it would never feel real!!

I'm so excited and nervous, I keep looking at the letter and can't quite believe it's happening xx

Anyone else feeling bloat fest at the moment? I have been sleeping in a padded bra too so much better with sore boobs!

Is the Facebook thing a group with lots of others? Does it have a name? Eek. I might also wait til scan.

Hope everyone is excited about being able to meet up a bit more soon and having lots of choc at Easter... Or monster munch. Whatever we want!
