I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

@CCG92 definitely! £70 is really high.

@CCG92 For sure - I have always been one of life's worrier so probably no surprise that I'm stressing out about this!

Surprised by how reasonable some of the early scan prices mentioned here are - the place I had in mind is £80 and they all seem to be much the same round here Shock

CCG92 · 22/03/2021 16:09

@queenatom me too! Some days I feel very pregnant with lots of symptoms, then other days I feel pretty normal. I worry myself a bit, but then realise that it's totally normal for symptoms for come and go. Just take to appreciate the days where my symptoms aren't bad I suppose!

Yeah the two scanning places by me are £70 and £90 - I'm just lucky that one of them had an offer on.

lucea87 · 22/03/2021 16:39

@CCG92 wow £59 is good! No offers here I don't think but I'll have another look as not booked.

Glad I rang GP today as I've got register somewhere else in order to use the hospital I want to 🤦🏼‍♀️ I stayed at my old GP which is only 15mins away when we moved but it's in a different coverage area so doesn't cover our hospital so I have to register with new GP here which could take 2 weeks (my boyfriend registered there 6 weeks ago and still isn't on the books though....!!). I've rang them to explain so hoping they do it quicker....!!!

CCG92 · 22/03/2021 16:41

@lucea87 it was @Tabbycat92 that got £59. Mine was £90 down to £45 on offer so even better!! Glad I looked early as doesn't say when offer is ending!

Aww what a nightmare. Hopefully due to your situation they'll get you on the books quicker! You never think of things like that I suppose, with the areas etc x

Sorry, my head is mush! I've found an 8 week one now for £45 so I might book that. Not too far away.

I am waking up at 5am at the mo desperate for a wee and feeling sick. Morning sickness is deffo kicking in!!!

Arthien · 22/03/2021 17:27

Hi everyone! This is me tentatively poking my head round the door to join you... I got my BFP on Friday after trying for a year. I think I’m 4ish weeks but my cycles vary and I know I ovulated a couple of days later than normal, so I’m not 100% sure on due date. I’d just had a blood test for possible PCOS as part of initial fertility testing and then got a positive test a few days later!

It’s my first pregnancy, so very new to all this. I called the midwife team and they’ve said I’ll get a text or email about my booking in between 6 and 8 weeks. I’m also considering an early scan, partly for reassurance that I’ve not completely imagined it and partly because twins run in DH’s extended family! £70 here though, the bargain hunter in me is very jealous of all the discounts Grin

I’m glad I’ve not had nausea yet thankfully, but lots of lower stomach twinges and cramps, my boobs feel really firm and achy, and I’m getting heartburn if I don’t eat little and often. I may also have had a two hour nap both days this weekend Blush

Interesting to see others have used RHR as well, I thought I was out this month as it dropped a bit before levelling out, but it has risen each day for the last 3 days, so hopefully that’s a good sign!

CCG92 · 22/03/2021 17:51

@lucea87 aww that's good. I think that's a really good price that we've both got then. What date would that be on? Mine is 24th April and I'll be 9+1 I think. Exciting, but so nervous too!

I actually woke at 5:30am this morning, bursting for a pee and feeling sick. Not that I was actually going to be sick though. However I managed to get back to sleep and then woke up feeling fine. Hope it doesn't kick in too badly for you 😭

CCG92 · 22/03/2021 17:54

@Arthien big congrats! You must be over the moon!

I have twins due in my generation too, and I'm bloody hoping I don't get them! 🤣 Praying my sister or a cousin gets them! I'd be terrified!!

Tabbycat92 · 22/03/2021 18:04

@arthien welcome! And congratulations on your Bfp I also got mine on Friday 😊
Twins also run in my family, and my generation is due them the same as you @CCG92 but so far neither myself nor my cousins have had twins yet!

I'm waking every day around 5:45/6 for a wee, seems to be a recurring theme here 😂

Hi! Tentatively joining here. I got my BFP this morning Grin I have a son who will be 3 in April, and from what I've worked out this baby will be due on 3rd of December. Im not actually due on for a few days so I'm surprised I got a positive this early! We've been trying since January, first month of using CB ovulation tests.
On Saturday I had absolutely horrendous nausea all day, and then on Sunday I threw up after dinner. I've also had lower stomach twinges and I've been feeling dizzy (I was dizzy early on with my first aswell)
Very nervous at this point, but also really excited!

Thanks @CCG92, it’s a massive surprise to actually see lines after months of squinting and disappointment. I only did a cheapo test as I was due to get a prescription for new meds, I wasn’t actually expecting it to show anything! Then I did a FRER which came up within about a minute so there was no denying it. I have POAS every day since though, just to be extra sure!

Any idea how close twins have to be in the family for it to be a consideration?

So lovely to have others that are going through this weird and wonderful time, where it doesn’t feel real but I can’t tell anyone but I also can’t think of anything else 😂

It’s 3am for a wee here and the loo is downstairs so chilly enough to wake me up. Spent an hour last night just listening to DH snoring, oh the joys 😂

Arthien · 22/03/2021 18:16

Congrats @Poptart90! Sorry to hear the nausea and dizziness has started already, that must be tough with a toddler as well.

queenatom · 22/03/2021 18:24

Welcome @Poptart90 and congratulations! Sorry the nausea’s come for you so soon - hopefully it’ll ease up soon.

@Tabbycat92, @Arthien, I’m also a member of the nighttime wee club, 2am for me Confused and it’s taking me a good 2 hours to fall back to sleep. Not ideal!

CCG92 · 22/03/2021 18:53

@Tabbycat92 none of us have them yet either - which makes me VERY nervous. It's always been a family joke that I'll get them. Bloody hope not! Auch well, we can all have terrible bladders together 🤣

@Poptart90 congratulations!! 🥳 I'm feeling really dizzy all the time too. Have been for about a week before I even got my BFP 🥴 Hoping it passes soon. Must be hard when you've already got a little one though!

@Arthien not sure about the twins. All I know is there's been twins every second generation for years on my mums side. Someone years back had 4 sets of twins! 😲 I'm the same as you...it's literally ALL I can think about!

@queenatom what a shame! 2am!! 5:30am doesn't sound so bad now!

CCG92 · 22/03/2021 19:04

Does anyone else feel totally different in the evenings? I always feel SO bloated at night time? I feel more pregnant at night 🤣

Arthien · 22/03/2021 19:12

@CCG92 that is a lot of twins!! I’ve just done some digging and it sounds like the likelihood of twins is carried down the maternal line and there aren’t any in my family, just DH’s, so I might not be joining the terrible bladder club just yet 🤣

I’m with you on the evening bloating, although I have IBS which is massively affected by hormones so I’m used to looking several months pregnant on a bad day. If I start taking bump selfies, I’ll have to time it for first thing in the morning I reckon! Why did no-one tell me pregnancy was this glamorous?

Tabbycat92 · 22/03/2021 19:13

@poptart90 welcome! I also have a son who's nearly 3 (in May) and due around 1/2 Dec. Sorry to hear about the nausea! And so early too! Were you like that for your last pregnancy?

Thanks for the pregnancy app recommendation by the way, the 3D images are amazing and really help to get perspective on what’s going on and how big it’ll get in the next few weeks.

lucea87 · 22/03/2021 19:42

Welcome @Poptart90

@CCG92 I've taken a gamble and booked 22nd April hoping my dates are good! It says you can upgrade to early scan if it is too early and that's what I was going to book so nothing lost if I'm not quite right!

Sickness has just kicked in this evening too now 🙄 trying to limit my fluids tonight so I don't have to pee at 5am tomorrow 😂

Aww you're welcome. I absolutely love it! My finance and I sit and look at it all the time 🥰

Exciting! 2 days before mine. I'll be asking you all the details 🤣

Oh no! Have you been sick or feeling it? I really hope none of us on here end up with terrible sickness. x

Poptart90 · 22/03/2021 19:57

@Tabbycat92 thanks! Aww that's lovely, I'm hoping it'll be a good age gap.
No I didn't have any sickness with my first, and not much nausea either. I've been feeling better since I was sick the other night, no more nausea since, just the dizziness

Kann88 · 22/03/2021 20:28

Someone else with IBS. I look about 7 months pregnant tonight 🙈 its so uncomfortable.

Also I'm now mildly panicking about the twin thing. My maternal grandmother was a twin and my mum has always joked I'd be next for them but I thought she was winding me up!!
