I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

Hello. Tentatively posting. Just found out think am about 5 weeks. Had a horrendous MMC last year. But trying to stay positive and not think the worst this time!

jodielouise26 · 06/04/2021 09:27

@Taenia Huge congratulations to you! 😃
Sending you all the best wishes in the world ❤️

I also found out on April fools day that I was pregnant (something just kept making me want to take a test) and there was my faint positive.
I'm also keeping it a secret from my OH until Sunday 11th as it's his birthday 🤭

I'm also very nervous but excited; trying not to be too excited as I had a MC end of January at around 11 weeks so until I pass that point this time I don't want to get too excited yet, but it's so hard 🤭😁

jodielouise26 · 06/04/2021 09:31

@mrsawhite Congratulations ! 🌈 ❤️

It's so hard to try not to be too exciting isn't it? I also had a MC this year, end of January & just got my positive also.

I'll be approx 5 weeks on Thursday 😬

Fingers crossed for us both & hope these are our sticky beans 🤞🏻 x

TreeRoad · 06/04/2021 11:39

Congratulations to the new posters!

I'm 5 weeks today and the nausea has hit me like a train. I thought it was bad last week but I was walking the dog this morning and every step felt like my stomach contents were in a washing machine.

Not nice at all, but all worthwhile of course! 🥰

Mayneedanextraroom · 06/04/2021 12:03

Can I join? I’m also 5 weeks today and weirdly also feeling a lot more sick today @TreeRoad

I wasn’t going to join, I had a mc last January which hit very hard and don’t want to get my hopes up, but I thought it would be nice to have others to talk to.

Congratulations everyone x

Mummyto293 · 06/04/2021 13:28

Is anyone planning on having an early reassurance scan? X

mrsawhite · 06/04/2021 16:23

Thanks @jodielouise26 I felt really excited this morning. Now I think. God it's weeks and weeks to go. And I've got bad cramps today. I could be nearer 6 weeks my cycles are all over the place!

BrodieKD · 06/04/2021 16:27

@Mummyto293 I've just booked mine for 8 weeks. 2nd May :) that's me booked in my anti natal appointment and my 12 week scan...it's all starting to feel real Grin

jodielouise26 · 06/04/2021 16:27

@mrsawhite I know how you feel! It's so far away 🥺 but I suppose Christmas will soon be here and our babies 🤞🏻😃

I'm so tempted to tell my OH but I want to wait until Sunday 😬 x

jodielouise26 · 06/04/2021 16:29

@Mummyto293 I think I'll book an early scan.
I really wanted to last time until it went all wrong 😒

TreeRoad · 06/04/2021 16:55

I booked an early scan via Window to the Womb as we have one nearby. I'll only be 6w1d though so I'm worried I'll go and it'll be too early.

It's booked now so I'll go, but I've read sometimes they can't see a heartbeat so early on.

lucea87 · 06/04/2021 16:59

Welcome newbies 👋🏻

My early scan is this Friday when I'm 6 weeks and 2 days 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I've read good and bad stories about what they can see, but generally when they haven't been able to see anything it's down to dates being wrong so I hopeful I'm all good as I'm pretty sure on my dates.

Mummyto293 · 06/04/2021 17:02

I had early scans with my 2 previous pregnancies and it really helped it not feel so long. Felt better after seeing a HB at 8-9 weeks. I think I’ll book one in closer to 9 weeks but I’ll wait until I’m about 7 before booking it in as I don’t want to jinx anything.
I had early hospital scans with my second one at 6 weeks and it was too early to see a heartbeat and then got a repeat one at 8 weeks and saw a heartbeat the 2 week wait between them was a really long and stressful time.
Tree road - how many weeks will you be when you’ve got your booking appointment?
I’m definitely getting more crampy pains today. I wish I wasn’t such a worrier and could just relax and enjoy it. It is what it is I guess and I need to stop worrying xx

TreeRoad · 06/04/2021 17:02

@lucea87 Ah that's so soon! Exciting!

TreeRoad · 06/04/2021 18:03

@Mummyto293 My first scan is at 6+1 via window to the womb. I have another at 8+0 via the clinic who carried out our treatment (that's part of the package when you get a positive result). Afterwards, discharged to the NHS.

The clinic said not to contact my GP etc for now, until after the 8 week scan they're doing. So I assume my booking appointment will be soon after.

I'm really worried about not seeing a heartbeat at the 6+1 scan. I'm a worrier by nature and I know I'll instantly think the worst.

On the flip side, I'll relax 10000% if there is a heartbeat to see.

Really torn what to do now.

I have an early scan booked for 8+2 weeks x
lucea87 · 06/04/2021 20:01

@TreeRoad I've got everything crossed for you, I'm sure you will be fine. You know your dates are good. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@Mummyto293 I'm hoping it helps me but not sure I'm going to relax until 12 weeks. Im pretty convinced already that I'm going to book another early scan at 9 or 10 weeks as well. I can't help it!

How is everyone feeling symptom wise? Random one for me. I've been getting cold in the evenings usually when I'm tired but today I have been freezing all day today. Cannot get warm at all. The heating has been on all day and hive says it's been 22 downstairs most of the day (it lies I'm sure!)

So excited to graduate to the new image on pregnancy+ tomorrow! Week 5-6 has gone quick!

Taenia · 06/04/2021 20:01

I hadn't even thought about an early scan. I'm not sure whether I will or not.. currently leaning towards just waiting until 12 weeks unless something makes me even more anxious than I am.

I made my booking in appointment today, and spoke to my Rheumatologist team.. its all feeling a lot more real now!

Good luck @jodielouise26 at keeping is secret until the 11th! I'd certain fail at that task hehe. I'm struggling to not blurt it out to everyone I talk to at the moment..

I'm glad places like this exist so we can talk about it :)

jodielouise26 · 06/04/2021 20:03

@Taenia I really not sure I can keep the secret much longer 😬

But as soon as I tell him, he'll be telling everyone and it's too early 🥴 that's what's making me hold on a little longer.

Mummyto293 · 06/04/2021 20:05

@lucea87 symptom wise - I took a test because I had 2 days of nausea and then got a positive test. Still feel sick in the mornings until I eat (I did not feel sick this early in my other pregnancies!) sore boobs and crampy. How are you feeling?

Taenia · 06/04/2021 20:06

Symptoms wise.. I've been quite lucky so far @lucea87.

My brest are slightly sore but not all the time and not too badly just enough to know its there.

Sickness I feel a bit rough in the mornings but it doesn't hang around past lunch time and is soothed by eating breakfast biscuits reaaaally slowly over a few hours.

I seem to get a bit of heartburn/acid reflux in the evenings... and it might just be me.. but I swear my urine smells different! (Or maybe my sense of smell is just stronger..)

lucea87 · 06/04/2021 20:12

@Taenia ooo breakfast biscuits are a good idea.

@Mummyto293 My morning sickness starts really early and tends to wake me up. It then seems to come and go all day.

I'm also really tired in the evenings. Very sore boobs. Think that's it for me. I am so so grateful every single symptom. I feel so lucky and so blessed 🥰

wannabemum38 · 06/04/2021 20:23

Slightly sore boobs and really tired for me.
Was feeling sick midday but its worn off a bit now
I am counting down days til my 8 week scan

TreeRoad · 06/04/2021 22:06

@lucea87 I feel cold a lot too! I think it's to do with low blood pressure. I'd have the heating on 24 hours a day if I could 😂

I notice a few of you are having morning sickness. I'm the same. I find plain Ritz crackers to really help. The saltiness really settles my stomach.

Does anyone else have stomach cramps? I feel a tightening/pulling sensation that comes and goes throughout the day. Sort of similar to period cramp.

wannabemum38 · 06/04/2021 23:57

@TreeRoad. Yeah I've had cramp low down today little bean is making its presence felt. Its not as painful as period cramps just an odd sensation.
