I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

@CCG92 no I never had an early scan, but I am tempted! I'm in Cornwall, so our road map is the same as the rest of England. You?

@Tand91 hello! I was same position with my first, it happened the first month off bc! Don't stress about not hearing from your midwife, you won't have your first apt until you are 8/9 weeks.

@wiltshire90 same, I booked really early last time which made it draaaag. Unless you have any underlying health reasons that could affect pregnancy they won't see you until you're at least 8 weeks

@Tabbycat92 I don't think I'd go for one at 6/7 week mark as I've heard a lot of stories on here about people going, being not as far as they've thought they were, and then being told they can't see anything and to come back. That would be an awful wait not knowing. Hoping if I'm going at around 9 weeks that won't be the case. Would just like some reassurance before the wedding 🤞🏼

I'm in Scotland, so always a little slower than you guys in Nicola for easing out of lockdown etc. Joys! 🤣

Congratulations to everyone on here, so happy for us all 🥰

lucea87 · 21/03/2021 09:31

Hello 👋🏻 I got my BFP yesterday too! Think I'm due 2nd December also! Still can't believe this is happening to me 🥰🥰

CCG92 · 21/03/2021 09:41

@lucea87 congrats!! Doesn't feel real does it? 🥰🥰

lucea87 · 21/03/2021 09:45

Not at all no. I wasn't expecting it at all!! I'm 34 and this was only our second cycle (we were crap our first though!)

I tested on Friday and had nothing then was poorly in the night but thought I'd test anyway yesterday morning, did 3 cheapies and could see a faint line on them all so braved a FRER...then another 😂😂 another this morning too. I've felt sick for a week already but thought it was all in my head! Sobbed my heart out yesterday when I realised they were all positive!

This is my first and I've no idea what I do now. I don't know if I ring GP or what!!

SophWolf · 21/03/2021 09:49

Hi, can I join? Going by last period I'm due 1st December but I've been getting quite strong positives for the past 3 days even on cheapies so wondering if I ovulated or implanted really early! This will be my second so tentatively excited!x

CCG92 · 21/03/2021 09:53

@lucea87 so exciting! It's funny isn't it that even when we're trying to conceive...it's still a massive shock when it happens.

We are similar to you, it was our first cycle. I've had gyne issues in the past, I haven't had a period for about 7 years and didn't even know it I was ovulating, my sister took 5 years to get pregnant...so I absolutely wasn't expecting to be so lucky. Feeling very blessed.

From what I've read on here, and from the girls above, I don't think we would see a midwife until about 8 weeks, so you can really just phone your GP in the next few weeks I guess? Some areas I think you can refer yourself to a midwife, but I have no idea so I'll just ask my GP. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We can have first pregnancy cluelessness together 🤣 xx

Congrats! 🥳🥳

Ah congrats everyone on here! For those asking, I rang my drs a few days ago and am booked for my first midwife appt when I'm at 9 weeks 😊

@Kann88 good to know, thanks! I need to phone my doctor tomorrow anyway to make sure a tablet I take everyday is safe or needs swapped. So I'll ask her what the process is in my area.
lucea87 · 21/03/2021 14:21

@CCG92 I'm the same, my sister took a long time too so really do feel blessed.

@Kann88 thank you! I will give them a ring tomorrow and go from there.

I had always planned on booking an early scan too for reassurance, I can't bring myself to do it though in case I'm jinxing it but I work out 6 weeks to be 2 weeks on Thursday which is scary 😱 should I just book it?

Tabbycat92 · 21/03/2021 15:21

@Lucea87 hello and congratulations due-date buddy 👋 you can ring your GP any time, but they won't book you in with the hv until you're around 8 weeks.

Hi @SophWolf 😊 this is my second too! How old is your first?

I'm tempted by an early scan, at around 9 weeks. It would make it easier to announce then than hide not drinking etc.

@lucea87 I've read so many stories on here of people going for one at 6 weeks, to then be told they couldn't see anything/pregnancy in an unknown location. Told to wait a week or two and return. The wait until another scan sounds dreadfully worrying, and it's normally just because they'd gone at '6 weeks', but weren't quite as far as they thought. Maybe leave it to 7/8 weeks just to try a dodge a situation like that 🤷🏻‍♀️ Totally up to you though!

I'm booking mine to what I think will be 9/9.5 weeks 🤞🏼 x

I was thinking of booking the week after. I'm pretty sure of my dates, so I'm hoping a week is a big enough window to be an absolutely minimum of 6 weeks then (I'd be 6+5 - 7+1) by then 🤞🏼🤞🏼

CCG92 · 21/03/2021 16:25

@lucea87 good plan, a week seems to be a huge difference from what I can see 🥰

Are you using any pregnancy apps? I've been looking at one this afternoon and it's so good. Looking at what happens each week, the size in fruits/sweeties/animals 🤣, what a scan should look like each week. So interesting! x

SophWolf · 21/03/2021 16:34

@Tabbycat92 he's 14 months so there will be a 23ish month age gap Confused. How old is yours? X

Tabbycat92 · 21/03/2021 16:37

@SophWolf he'll be 3 in May 😊 so there will be a 3.5year gap

lucea87 · 21/03/2021 16:50

@CCG92 ooooh which one? I've just got femometer which I've been using throughout and Emma's Diary. I am also annoyed that Fitbit doesn't have a pregnancy option given that it has the rest of the cycle 🙄

CCG92 · 21/03/2021 16:58

@lucea87 this is it. It's the best one I've found. So interesting! 🥰

Due December 2021 thread!
Wiltshire90 · 21/03/2021 18:33

@lucea87 same for my Garmin! I run and cycle and since last week Garmin's been telling me I'm losing fitness as my heart rate has been higher!

@CCG92 ooh I will have a look at that too Smile

CCG92 · 21/03/2021 18:57

How annoying is that with your trackers 🙄

I've looked at quite a lot and that app is definitely my favourite.

How is everyone feeling? Symptoms? 😁

I'll have a look! Thank you!xx

Tabbycat92 · 21/03/2021 19:30

I remember with my first I knew I was pregnant before the BFP thanks to my heart rate on my fitbit. That, and I had 1 pint of beer and was absolutely pissed! 😂

@CCG92 a few symptoms! Felt a little nauseous on and off, boobs are starting to feel heavy and achey. Headaches, random bouts of heavy cm 😂, and very very tired. Still the odd cramp/pain too.

Last time I used the Ovia Pregnancy app. Was really good
