@Taybz eeeek what time is yours?! Mine is 8:45! Can your partner attend with you?

@MrsMcNtobe 9.15. Wish it wasn't that early as that's when my nausea is at its peak. The hospital have categorically refused to allow partners at 12wk scan but will allow them at 20wk. Doesn't make sense to me as the situation is still the same. Is yours allowed in? I know some hospitals are allowing partners. How are you feeling? Excited? Nervous?

@taybz hope the scan goes well it's so sad your partner isn't allowed for the 12 week scan! Our trust - north Midlands - only started allowing it about 6 weeks ago. I think they're all working through the guidance atm and seeing how they can impliment it.

I can’t believe the difference in the restrictions surrounding partners being at scans from hospital to hospital. We are so fortunate where we are, they have to stand out in the corridor until the actual scan, not allowed on the ward, but it’s a small price to pay! I hope it becomes more standardised for everyone soon 🤞🏼

Really hoping I get the date for my scan through tomorrow as I’m 12 weeks on Friday and just want to know when it is!!!

It's crazy how some hospitals are letting partners in and some aren't. My partner was allowed into the scan but had to go on after while I done bloods and booking in

@SP2Bx it was similar for us. Partners had to wait outside the hospital and I called mine once I was in the scan room. I felt quite lucky that he could be with me.

Really hope everyone gets to have their partners with them for the 20 week scans!!

Here, partners cannot come to the 12 week scan, so I had to go alone. But apparently they can attend the 20 week scan which I'm really pleased about. It was lovely experiencing it together at the private scans we had.

good luck with scans everyone! @Mamabearwhere youll be fine...honest. i was the same, the day came and i felt sick with worry. will keep everything crossed for u, but try and not stress out!

Re twinges: oh yes!! Sometimes it’s really sharp and I think what the hell was that?! But then it goes. Weird but then again growing a human takes it toll on our bodys.

That sucks for those who’s partners can’t come to 12 week one, kinda makes no sense you could get bad news at either scan. Support would be needed for either one. Can they wait outside in the car or something?

@FTEngineerM, yes my husband waited in the car. I text him as soon as I could that all was OK & then showed him the scan pics in the car. But they weren't very clear. I felt for him that he couldn't come in. And he wished he could come and support me (and see baby!) as I was nervous.

@Taybz partners are allowed for 12 and 20 week scans where I am. I hope that’s still the case when I go or I’ll be so gutted!

Hello, I'm a little late to the party but is it ok if I join in? I'm 11 weeks exactly today and expecting my first :) I have my 12 week scan next Wednesday and it can't come quick enough! Overthinking eeeeverything! Good luck to those who have their scans this week 🤞🏼☺️ x

Anyone else had a bit of a rubbish reaction from work? I knew they would never exactly be delighted but I actually feel pretty let down by their attitudes. Considering they know I had a MC last year too so it's not come as a shock I'm pregnant again. I'm also 36 and it's my first so I thought it would be in their minds!

Hi all. I hope everyone’s well and good luck to all those having scans today.

I’ve been lurking on these threads since the first one, I was too nervous to post until we had the 12 week scan. We had the NIPT at 10 weeks 5 days and the results came back inconclusive which didn’t help with the worry.

We’ve had the 12 week scan this morning putting me at 13 weeks, so EDD is 12th September. Everything looked good in the scan but baby was being very difficult and she had limited views. She was happy with Nuchal measurement.

On the way home we received the NIPT retest results and all is good! Also found out we’re having a boy!

I'm jealous of all of you who can have your partners there but chuffed for you still! I spoke to our hospital again to try my luck again and they refused. Read online last night that many more trusts were allowing their partners so it's the inconsistency thats really bugging me especially when I'm so nervous about tomorrow 😩
