Maybe a daft question but how do they tell the sex? By my scan at first how she was laid we could see sort of down from the top of the head, then the dr moved the scan stick thing around a bit but we could only really see the top half down to the stomach however he said he was certain it's a girl. I've attached the pic he printed for me and that was the clearest they got. Are there other indicators of the gender then?

@AdventuresAwait I was certain it was another girl. With my daughters I was certain it was a boy. Guess my instincts are wrong.

Had my 16 week appointment today, they didn't listen to the heartbeat which was a little disappointing!

Hi all. So the protein in my wee is because of Strep B. Thankfully spotted now and going on penicillin. Only a massive issue if I have a VB but hopefully no problem with ELCS.

My 2nd trimester is a lot more eventful than my first!!

People finding out the sex is making me so excited for my scan on Saturday!!

I’ve had a nub tech guess so looking forward to seeing if they are right!

@Noodles4Me oh no, at least you know what it is and it can be sorted. How long do you have to take penicillin for?

Is anyone else getting a pulling sensation around their belly button? Doesn't hurt just feels a bit uncomfortable. I am wondering if it's endometriosis related or perfectly normal!

@Kirky658 I don’t have a pulsing feeling but sometimes it feels like it’s a bit bruised around my belly button 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe to do with ligaments stretching and things?

@Kirky658 yeah I get that too sometimes I got it yesterday when trying to pull myself up from sitting, I think it’s just the muscles pulling and stretching

@Bubbles1st I haven't bought anything yet but plan to as soon as the 20 week scan is completed and hopefully all is well. It is so tempting though.

Anyone else utterly exhausted? I keep falling asleep when putting my DS to bed. I’ve barely spent anytime with my OH 🤣

@Kirky658 I’ve also had random pains and strains. Think it’s definitely everything stretching.
