Did any of you NOT vomit?

I'm 6 weeks with my first and I'm absolutely petrified of vomiting so much so I almost decided against having children. I've had awful nausea and been given cyclizine but I just see so many stories of women who had vomiting or even HG. My anxiety is so bad I'm starting to regret getting pregnant. Did any of you have nausea and not vomit!? Is it inevitable that I will?

I didn't. Felt sick and used acupuncture and those wrist bands. Helped loads.

BigusBumus · 08/02/2021 22:40

I never did. 2 boys. Felt a bit nauseous with both for a couple of early weeks but was never actually sick.

Garman · 08/02/2021 22:41

I never vomited with my second, was nauseous for months on end but never vomited. Only did on my first a few times, but again was nauseous for most of it.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 08/02/2021 22:41

I didn't. I felt very very sick but I wasn't with either pregnancy.

RaininSummer · 08/02/2021 22:41

I didn't vomit at all on two pregnancies but did feel extremely nauseous most of the time not just 3 months or just mornings

PolytheneHam · 08/02/2021 22:42

No vomiting at all with either of my pregnancies. Plenty of nausea in the first trimester though

Lemonsyellow · 08/02/2021 22:42

I didn’t.

When you say early weeks, when did it start? I'm just so scared that I've felt since since 4 weeks it's only going to get worse Sad

Me. Felt sick from about 10am to 8pm every day but was never actually sick, just had no appetite. Cleared up at about 20 weeks and felt great, could eat normally again.. then a few weeks later was diagnosed with gestational diabetes!

On the plus side I ended up 15kg lighter after giving birth than I was before the pregnancy! Almost all back on again now... Hmm

LittleGungHo · 08/02/2021 22:42

35 weeks pregnant and have not been sick one. I had a funny taste in my mouth sort on metallic but sucking on a Murray Mint helped.

Hermanfromguesswho · 08/02/2021 22:43

Quite nauseous at points but never once vomited over 3 pregnancies

grandmasterstitch · 08/02/2021 22:43

Me. No sickness or nausea with either. I wasn't sick during labour either

20viona · 08/02/2021 22:43

No nausea no sickness nothing until heartburn at 25 weeks onwards.

Sceptre86 · 08/02/2021 22:43

9 weeks pregnant. I have had all day nauseaxwguch was hard but managed without any medication. Not actually been sick so far in this pregnancy. I was sick very little with dd and ds.

giantwaterbottle · 08/02/2021 22:43

I didn't vomit with either of mine. The nausea was awful for the first trimester though, so much so that I also regretted getting pregnant at the time!

It sounds like you have a real phobia OP. I used to have a phobia of vomiting. Are you able to access any CBT? X

Blurp · 08/02/2021 22:44

I didn't vomit either time. Was a bit nauseous early on, but by about week 8/9 it had passed and I felt fine. Anti-nausea meds helped a lot, and I found that hunger made it worse, so tried to make sure I ate frequently.

Sceptre86 · 08/02/2021 22:44

*all day nausea which

frogswimming · 08/02/2021 22:45

I had lots of nausea but never vomited. My experience is most people don't actually vomit.

moirarosebabay · 08/02/2021 22:45

Not ever in 3 pregnancies, just felt sick like one of those unfixable hangovers. I also have a fear of vomiting so maybe it protected me. I've never been seasick even when in the company of people who were. Hope you are ok. The baby will be worth it. Even better if men got pregnant but hey ho.

StrangerHereMyself · 08/02/2021 22:45

What To Expect While You’re Expecting says that a slight majority of pregnant women never throw up even once with morning sickness. I had a textbook case and felt lightly nauseous every morning from 7am to midday through the first trimester.

Blurp · 08/02/2021 22:46

By the way, it helped me to learn that nausea tends to be at its worst from about weeks 4-8. I kind of assumed that it would just get worse and worse as time went on, but that's not usually the case, apparently (obviously it happens sometimes of course).

DisgruntledPelican · 08/02/2021 22:46

Didn’t vomit once, and only felt very nauseous a couple of times (around 7-8 weeks). It is possible. Like PPs I just ate constantly (it was very similar to that slightly sick feeling you can get if very hungry) to counter it.

lovescaca · 08/02/2021 22:46

Me. Never

fabulous01 · 08/02/2021 22:46

I had twins and no vomit

Was very grateful as I had being sick

GaraMedouar · 08/02/2021 22:47

With my first two pregnancies , boys, I had no nausea at all.

My third baby was a girl, and I felt really sick from 6 weeks until around 18 weeks I think. I was not sick once. But I felt really sick. I would drive home from work with a plastic bag on my lap and have to pull over. But never actually vomited. I ate a lot of biscuits constantly to stop the nausea ! And put on 4 stone!
