Thought we could continue on here? Unless someone has made a different one.

@Hopefulmummie How terrifying for you! You say the pain is gone now so do you think it could have been ligament pain rather than Fallopian tube related? That scan can't come soon enough!

@littleMissK I too am a very anxious wreck and I don't even have the excuse of having overcome cancer I was so carefree with my first...

@Scotti84 How terrifying! A good thing you have the scan this afternoon!

I am feeling so angry and irritated all the time. Just like before my periods but much more! I'm a nightmare wife and mother Sad I made my little girl cry this morning Sad This homeschooling malarkey isn't helping either. I just couldn't understand her maths exercise (not the maths itself but the method the teacher wanted us to teach them). Ugh...

Anybody else is thinking of getting an early private scan? We are thinking of going for one so my husband can join me (I believe you have to be alone for nhs ones). It's mainly to calm my nerves...

Scotti84 · 25/01/2021 14:19

@SMT137 oh that does give me a bit of peace of mind, horrible that it happened to you too. I’m trying to be calm and remember that just because I’m pregnant doesn’t mean I won’t get unrelated illnesses or things. I’m 8+5 today, I’m hoping to hell this scan is ok, I had a heartbeat last time too but i read too much into every little detail and worry myself.

Hopefulmummie · 25/01/2021 14:23

@Sophiederuges yeah no pain today thank god I'm hoping it was ligament pain. Still a bit of spotting when I wipe but it's completely brown so hoping it's old blood

InTheLibrary · 25/01/2021 15:12

My god my boobs are SO sore today!

@Scotti84 hope your scan all goes well. That sound scary!

Noodles4Me · 25/01/2021 15:32

8+5 today too. First midwife appointment face-to-face. Did blood, BP and weight Confused

Discussed anxiety around limited symptoms but just hanging in there

gigi556 · 25/01/2021 16:24

@Sophiederuges my moods are the same! I'm not getting too many symptoms but my god I was grumpy all weekend 😂😂 Don't think we'll get an early private scan tbh. Just the NHS ones and possibly one private if it's part of the private NIPT test which I'm thinking of getting.

What was their advice regarding the limited symptoms? Because mine come and go but are rather mild compared to my previous pregnancy and it's creating a lot of anxious thoughts, especially at 3am at night when I can't sleep...
gigi556 · 25/01/2021 16:25

@Sophiederuges having just said that I've googled the scanning studio that I can walk to from my house and there's a half price Groupon so maybe!!!! 🤣

Sophiederuges · 25/01/2021 16:27

What is NIPT @gigi556 ?

Glad I'm not the only one! It doesn't help that my endocrinologist advised me to try eating gluten free to get my antibodies count down. All the treats in the house have wheat in it! Envy

leftitlate37 · 25/01/2021 16:27

ooo had mine today too @Noodles4Me! she didnt seem worried about my limited symptoms, which is always easy for people to say but doesnt help it when its us experiencing it! Hope yours had better luck with your blood taking than mine (grimace....3rd times a winner).
@Sophiederuges - we had an early scan at weekend, would love another before 12 week scan but will see how it goes. im so glad we did as after a MMC last year i couldnt have got thru to NHS scan and maintain my sanity. i know theres pros and cons to having them and not for everyone, and i totally get it only gives u some positivity at that moment in time - but i needed that. obviously back to worrying now but trying to tell myself that the stats are good for having seen a HB and chances of miscarriage go down with each day that passes.

gigi556 · 25/01/2021 16:28

@Sophiederuges my symptoms are also very mild compared to my previous pregnancies and it's making me nervous. I think it's just one of those things though that you have to accept. You won't know if something isn't right until something isn't right. It's not reassuring! It can be totally normal for pregnancies to be totally different.

Noodles4Me · 25/01/2021 16:29

@Sophiederuges tbh, not much advice. The symptoms can suddenly appear. She said if boobs change i may worry (as in shrink, stop being tender etc) orher than that, no.

gigi556 · 25/01/2021 16:32

@Sophiederuges NIPT = non invasive prenatal testing. It's a screening for Downs, Pataus and Edwards (you may have heard of Harmony Test? There's a few names for it as different trade marks). It's a blood test and it's more accurate than the NHS screening. I'm 38 so my age puts me at higher risk so I'm thinking I'll get it done. It's about £400 at a private clinic, but it can be done privately at some NHS hospitals as well and it may cost less.

Sophiederuges · 25/01/2021 16:36

@leftitlate37 It must have been so traumatising to have experienced that

@gigi556 I keep repeating myself that, there's nothing I can do apart from making sure I take my meds religiously everyday.

Ah the Harmony test! It's on my list of things I'd like to do too, because I'm 37 and with a high BMI and I know they can be factors.

Congratulations to all those just joining. I commented briefly on the first post but have been taking a back seat due to being terrified something is going to go wrong. I took my last CB digital today and got 3+ so finally decided to call and arrange booking appointment, I have that arranged for next Friday. The Midwife advised because of previous missed miscarriage and ectopic that I should have an early scan so contacted EPAS and have a scan arranged for next Wednesday where I should be 7 weeks according to LMP but I have longer cycles and so will likely only be around 6 weeks by then. So nervous but trying to stay positive, I have a gorgeous 4 year old who we conceived after two previous miscarriages so she is my motivation just now 😁

Scotti84 · 25/01/2021 17:48

Scan went fine, the little bean is at 2cm now, don’t need to go back for 4 weeks. Doc wasn’t worried about my lack of appetite or the episode yesterday. So, carry on and see how things go!

Hope everyone’s feeling / doing ok x

MrsTD88 · 25/01/2021 17:52

@Scotti84 really glad your scan went well, that must be such a relief for you! X

llemma · 25/01/2021 18:06

@sophiederuges I've got hashimotos too

Sophiederuges · 25/01/2021 18:18

Great news @Scotti84 Smile you must be so relieved !

Sophiederuges · 25/01/2021 18:23

@llemma Thanks for reaching out! How are you finding it? Is it your first hashi pregnancy? All was great for me but then my TSH jumped up and my FT4 took a nosedive when I found out I was pregnant. What has been put in place to help you?

Sophiederuges · 25/01/2021 18:23

@llemma Sorry for all the questions Blush

llemma · 25/01/2021 18:42

@sophiederuges No worries Smile. This is my 2nd hashi pregnancy, I've got a 3 year old. Mines been well controlled recently and my most recent bloods seemed ok so got another blood test in 2 weeks. My levothyroxine has been increased, last pregnancy it only needed increased once so fingers crossed it's the same this time.

Mamabearwhere · 25/01/2021 20:09

How can i be added too please?

gigi556 · 26/01/2021 07:53

Is anyone else roasting hot?! 🥵 especially at night!
