Thought we could continue on here? Unless someone has made a different one.

@Ahoynoy Ah yes, it might be different in wales, or even according to which nhs trust you live in. I had to tell my GP straightaway to have blood tests and my medication adjusted and he did all the paperwork for the referral after receiving my test results. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis btw.

FTEngineerM · 24/01/2021 12:42

That is such an added worry for you both, it sounds like you have lots of specialists to ask/call if and when you need to which is good. I’m in Wales too @Ahoynoy I think you may get referred after booking appt, well I admit I’m not ‘medically complex’ (sorry to use your term) or have much experience but I have a heart condition which causes havoc in pregnancy so they referred me after booking last time. I’ll need to be referred again I think, I struggled to push last time because I couldn’t control my heart rate 😬not ideal.

@Sophiederuges ah I see! Fab they got you sorted so quick! Mine is an autoimmune too, it’s antiphospholipid syndrome- my blood thinners are safe in pregnancy so no worries there, I’m just frustrated there aren’t really any specialists here (I used to be seen in London and Liverpool when I lived in England and was told they’d oversee any pregnancy and had good success rates) and they won’t refer into England... will have to see if I can get them to liase or something at least?! I’ve not actually had my care overseen at all since I moved- I used to have appointments every 3 months but they don’t care here 😂🤦‍♀️

@FTEngineerM ah great- useful to know!! eesh that doesn’t sound ideal!! Did it end up being assisted birth or section with your heart rate issues?

Hi hope everyone is OK this weekend.

I now have a scan at epu on Friday due to previous miscarriage and ectopic. I wasn't expecting them to offer me a scan due to covid so had one booked for 8 weeks. I'll be 6+3 at my scan so hopefully can see something and get some reassurance

I thibk my nausea might be starting as I have been feeling a bit nauseas the odd time. Not overly bad thank god

I'd definitely call the GP. Pain when peeing is not normal and you may have a UTI. Do they know you're pregnant?
Sophiederuges · 24/01/2021 16:01

@FTEngineerM It's very often that regular conditions get trickier whilst pregnant. Usually, my condition is well controlled with meds, but pregnancy can really mess up very important thyroid hormones. It puts a strain on our bodies and it's reassuring to know it's being treated seriously.

Sophiederuges · 24/01/2021 16:05

@Hopefulmummie They should be able to see something, they may even try an internal scan Smile

No nausea here yet, and my boob soreness comes and go. I'm incredibly bloated though. The joy Grin

Scotti84 · 24/01/2021 17:23

@Sophiederuges with you on the bloating, ive considered buying maternity jeans already just to be comfortable 😂

Mamabearwhere · 24/01/2021 17:25

Oh nice thread! I’m also due sept so I’m inviting myself to this thread 🤣💖 congrats all

Mamabearwhere · 24/01/2021 17:31

Also just read all the other posts on here. Glad I’m not alone with middle of the night insomnia! I’ve been awake from 3/4 am every night wide awake. I’m also having the craziest most vivid dreams. Nausea has also started the last couple of days and I am obsessed with meat, I just can’t get enough of steaks, burgers, kebabs etc! Equally I’m assisted to cucumber and celery. Sooo random. I’m trying to figure out if my cravings being similar to my first 2 pregnancies with girls means I might be having another girl or if it’s not related.

Hoping to do a scan next week to see baby heartbeat and get a date as I’m not exactly sure how far I might be (super irregular periods)

Mamabearwhere · 24/01/2021 17:31

Addicted not assisted !

diamante11 · 24/01/2021 17:59

Thanks for creating the new thread :) I'm 39 and currently 8+5 with my first after 3 miscarriages, so hoping this one is "the one" ❤️

VNttc · 24/01/2021 17:59

Marking my place in this thread :)

Had an early scan last week at 6+3 due to some spotting and saw the heartbeat ❤️

Was really nauseous last week but since I stopped taking the big pregnancy vitamins (and just taking folic acid and vitamin d) I feel so much better. But then it does make me worry that I don't feel pregnant!

Another scan booked for a few weeks time so hopefully all will be well!

Has anyone else stopped feeling nauseous suddenly?

gigi556 · 24/01/2021 18:38

Can I join? I'm about 6 weeks pregnant. 3rd pregnancy and 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻will be second baby. I have one boy who is 3.5. Im super moody, having trouble sleeping, and my breasts are really sore. So far no nausea which makes me nervous as I had this previously but I guess it might not mean anything so I'm just counting my lucky stars for now.

RockinRobinn · 24/01/2021 19:18

Hi I'm pregnant with my second and currently 5+3. Like all of you I'm eager for that first scan to make sure everything is ok!
I'd love to be added to a Facebook group I joined one from here for my daughter and I found it easier to keep up with and a great source of support.

Duesept21 · 24/01/2021 21:59

@mamabearwhere I'm massively struggling with insomnia too Sad last night was the worst. I looked at phone through the night, it was. 4am and I still hadn't been asleep! Can't sleep on my back and every other position hurts my boobs. Through the day I've been feeling ok so far but on a night time I feel rubbish. . Just read someone mentioning the pregnancy vitamin and it's always after I've taken it that I feel rubbish so I'll try tomorrow without one and see if that's what it is.

Ayoo · 25/01/2021 04:10

Yes dear it normal ... Mine stopped because I had severe vomiting which triggered my ulcers because I couldnt eat anything.

Hopefulmummie · 25/01/2021 06:09

So I'm extremely worried... Last night I pains on my left side (same side as my previous ectopic) and this motning I've woke up to some blood when I wiped. Wasn't alot and was dark in colour. I've convinced myself that this could be another ectopic :(

gigi556 · 25/01/2021 06:39

Oh no @Hopefulmummie 😥 You won't know if there's a problem until after the scan and the waiting is horribly nerve racking. I've also had a miscarriage previously so I understand the worry. Can you have your scan brought forward and get in earlier than Friday???

Hopefulmummie · 25/01/2021 09:19

@gigi556 I don't have any pain today and when I wiped it was only a bit of brown blood. If things don't get any worse I can wait until Friday. I've no other symptoms of an ectopic but I can't help but worry as my ectopic and miscarriage both started out like this

littleMissK · 25/01/2021 10:03

Hi. Can I join too? I'm 38, pregnant with my second (DS is almost 14!!!), and just about to celebrate 3 years cancer free. My anxiety is allllll over the place (not helped by this lockdown and general January blues) Got an early scan on sunday, so hoping that will ease some of the anxiety.

Scotti84 · 25/01/2021 11:23

Hi all, tmi post coming up but I need to let it out, I’m so worried. Last night I woke about 3am with massive stabbing pains that turned out to be diarrhea. But really really bad, I was red all over, went really hot and couldn’t breathe, my chest felt like it was about to explode. Lasted for about half an hour, then I managed to splash myself with cold water and breathe slowly and it went back to normal. This could just be something I’ve eaten but has anyone else had this or heard of it? I’ve got a scan this aft cos I’m so worried somethings happened to the fetus, there was no blood or anything so it might be completely separate but I’ve worried myself sick!

SMT137 · 25/01/2021 12:57

@Scotti84 new to this board but the exact same thing happened to me last week! I had just come home from an early scan (6+5, hb seen), and I had been SO incredibly anxious due to 2 previous missed miscarriages, I think it all caught up with me and caused the extreme stabbing pains and diarrhea. It was such a horrific experience. I did lots of googling after and it seems to be that plenty of women have this in pregnancy and as it’s a different bodily ‘system’ it shouldn’t impact on the pregnancy.

I hope your scan goes well. How far along are you?
I have another one next week when I’ll be 8 +5 and I’m already feeling so paranoid despite having seen a heartbeat. I have very mild pregnancy symptoms which seem to be fading as well :-(
