HI, can I join?? I am also in the other thread with a similar title!!:):) I am 6+2 weeks with my first. I am 37 years old and we were trying for 2 years!! we were due to start IVF in March!

As I said in the other thread, I do not have many symptoms. I am having an early scan next Friday! It is lovely to see your early cans!! very happy for your all, congratulations!!Flowers Flowers

Sophiederuges · 23/01/2021 14:33

@AnitaB83 I answered to you on the other thread (I realised too late it was only for first timers) Smile I have very few symptoms and sore boobs only in the evening after removing my bra or in the morning: basically when gravity takes its toll (I am a DD). I can't tell you to relax because really, I'm very worried too, but then I'm always anxious about something... Blush

Sophiederuges · 23/01/2021 14:35

Does anyone actually suffer from very smelly gas? (Sorry if tmi Blush)

FTEngineerM · 23/01/2021 15:16

@AnitaB83 yeah I saw that but it’s for first time mums which I’m not anymore, not that I know what I’m doing but hey Ho 😀😂. Wow you must be so surprised that’s happened, little miracle ❤️.

I think we’re all worried, I keep checking for blood because it feels like I am bleeding but I check and nothing.

Cannot wait for a scan to confirm whether all ok or not.

@Sophiederuges not at the minute but probably when the constipation sets in 😬

@FTEngineerM It's extremely embarrassing. It's so smelly too BlushBlushBlush I never had it that bad with my first one... At least in lockdown, I'm either outside or my poisoning my own indoor air Blush

lrsmoi · 23/01/2021 16:46

Could I please join? :) 5+5 with my first

Equimum · 23/01/2021 17:27

Congratulations and welcome to everyone joining.

I am feeling the nausea gradually creep up (6+3). We went for a six mile walk today and I felt thorough exhausted by the end of it. I can currently tolerate most food, but need to work out what helps the nausea.

Noornie · 23/01/2021 17:48

Hiya all

I can see a few people have asked about the FB group

It is still very much open (and active!) but we decided to make it ‘secret’ so you have to be invited in rather than searching it as had some weird requests and thought this was the safest way

If you PM me I’ll share my full name to add me as a friend on Facebook, I’ll then invite you into the group so you have access, and then unfriend on my personal account so we’re all just connected via the page :)

Hope that’s okay!

Sparrow91 · 23/01/2021 18:05

Marking my place back in thread no 2 - I’m also mostly on the FB group now so don’t pop in here as much!

Hope everyone is doing okay - I’m nearly 8 weeks now! 😬

Laura2021 · 23/01/2021 20:12

Hi @Noornie hope you don't mind I’ve just sent you a PM to be added to the Facebook group please :)

Gadea · 23/01/2021 21:59

Has anyone had their first midwife appointment yet? I suppose it's still a bit early.

Mine is in 2 weeks time and I'm wondering generally what they tend to go through and if partners are required (mine is a phone appointment)

Praying4aRainbow · 23/01/2021 23:02

I have mine on the 24th Feb when I'll be around 9+6weeks, it's at the gp surgery the nurse said I'd be having some bloods taken, health history etc and the scan booked xxx

Praying4aRainbow · 23/01/2021 23:04

From what I remember from my last pregnancy (8 year ago) it's alot of talking and filling in paperwork xxx

duchessrose · 24/01/2021 00:29

Hello! Can I join? I'm 7 weeks pg with my third. Smile

FTEngineerM · 24/01/2021 07:39

@Gadea yes essentially what @Praying4aRainbow said, about 100 questions about you and your partner and your respective health’s.

hey!just joining this 2nd thread :) had a private scan last night and got to see a heartbeat, was amazing! dated at 7 weeks...so still a long way to go but feeling a lot more positive after MMC in oct. first midwife appt this week too. hope everyone is feeling ok?! im defo struggling with middle of the night insomnia!

Ahoynoy · 24/01/2021 10:29

Hi all! I’m very cautiously joining and hoping I don’t tempt fate... I’m 5 weeks tomorrow.

Medically complex and this is a massive but very welcome surprise (not to say I’m not freaking out... there’s no bloody space for a start).

First pregnancy, I’m 29 and have a 6 year old step son.

Already been struggling with nausea and sickness which feels insanely early but apparently can happen! 🤢 alongside the sorest boobs (mainly at night!) and insomnia...

Phoning midwives tomorrow but already have a first consultant visit booked for the 4th- I have a blood clotting condition that means I’m permanently on blood thinners I inject every 12 hours, and my risk of miscarriage/stillbirth/every other horrible thing is significantly higher- so quite anxious! I should have “planned” this so that I saw consultant before getting pregnant but life doesn’t always work that way does it 🥰

Hi Ahoynoy! We can help each other out Smile I too have a life long condition that makes thing more risky. It's my second and I can't seem to relax really. I'm very early too and almost no symptoms except sore-ish boobs in the evening and in the morning.

Have you told your GP too? I have already been referred to the obstetrics department at the hospital. Apparently I should have my first appointment after my booking in appointment.

Ahoynoy · 24/01/2021 12:22

@Sophiederuges ah thank you! “Nice” to have another slightly more difficult bod in here 😁

Yes I spoke to my gp as I needed to check out medications I take (although I forgot some... so need to speak to her again) I have a stoma also (I poo out of my stomach not my bum 😁) and she was who sorted my haematology appointment.

I assume midwives will do the obstetrics referral? I’m in wales also so things are often a bit different here! My gp was more concerned at making sure my blood thinners don’t need aspirin added too I think and so haematology was the pressing thing 😊
