My scan yesterday was a good one as well, put me ahead a couple of days so due date is 8th September. Baby was tucked up and lying face down but we got to see them kicking their little legs. It was amazing! Told our families afterwards so it was a lovely day all round

@Hopefulmummie I'm the same date 16th!!!! Was 22nd now 16th, so exciting. If I could just get my Harmony results I could finally breathe a sigh of relief & start enjoying my pregnancy

That's amazing, @Gadea! How lovely to see! I didn't see anything like that with mine. Baby was moving more at my 10 week private scan but didn't see much at the 12 week scan really.
It must have been so wonderful to see that.

@FTEngineerM ah that looks amazingly comfy and just what I was thinking. I can see why your DH doesn’t like it since he probably gets left with little room. Doubt mine will love it either but hey we’re priority for the next 6 months 🤣

Another scan pic incoming! Going by LMP I was 12 weeks today but they’ve put me at 12+2 so new due date is 15th sept. Baby was very stubborn and we had to leave and come back to get the measurement behind the next but all looks good

Hi all, can I join in? I had my 12 week scan on Wednesday all was well. I have been dated at 14 weeks so my due date is the 1st of September. I have a 4 nearly 5 year old dd and 3 year old ds. Both are super excited about the baby, dd would like a baby sister and ds a brother. I think dd may have got her wish. We aren't planning on finding out the sex as this will be our last baby but any predictions are very welcome! Hope those of you still due your 12 week scan have a smooth one x

All these scans 😍 Did anyone feel a bit anxious before their scan? Mine is on Tuesday and I’m really struggling... we’ve had a little run of bad luck recently (nothing too mental, OH has been out of work due to issues with his van, our car was also playing up) and in my head I just keep thinking what next, am I going to get bad news at my scan?!

I know it’s just all in my mind but sometimes your own mind is the worst place to be 😔

@MrsMcNtobe Oh it’s not just the scan I’m worried about, I’m just worried like non-stop! I don’t think I can do this for another 6 months 🙈 although maybe this is just life now, having a child to worry about! It’s so unnatural because I’m totally not a worrier normally, but I think it’s just that I have like zero control over what’s going on, it’s driving me mad! I just keep reading about all the things that could go wrong, even though I have absolutely no reason to think anything is the matter, but until they’re here in my arms I don’t think I’ll relax! And then it’s a whole new world of worry I’m sure 😅😅😅

@Newmum110 it’s horrible waiting for the harmony results isn’t it? I’m hoping to have mine back by Wednesday and I just feel sick waiting for them, the days are going by so slowly!

@MrsMcNtobe I feel super anxious before every scan! It’s totally natural, it’s such a big thing to see how your baby is doing - I’m sure everything will be fine!

I’m also worrying like crazy atm! Been a bit crampy achey the last few days 😥 I have my scan next Wednesday it can’t come quick enough!

@Mamabearwhere @SP2Bx @Squibble84 it’s madness. I’m trying to work out how much anxiety is normal and how much is me overreacting 😂 I was considering booking another private scan but the next available is Sunday late afternoon and my scan is Tuesday at 8:45am so really there’s not my much point is there 😕

@MrsMcNtobe I was thinking the same about booking another scan at the weekend 🙈 but I thought the same as you my scan is Wednesday so I didn’t think there was much point but the wait seems to take forever! Don’t know how we will cope waiting for our 20 week scan!

@Maybebaby29 it is a long wait for the 20 week scan but you’ll get to hear the baby’s heartbeat at your 16 week midwife appointment so that breaks it up a bit!

@Squibble84 that’s what I was thinking. I think I’m going to tell my other 2 children after my 16 week appointment, it falls before Easter so I’m going to do them an Easter egg hunt around the house & garden with clues! And chocolate of course 😋

@Maybebaby29 I was thinking of booking a gender scan around 16/17 weeks 😂 @Squibble84 I think my 16 week appointment is via phone, midwife gave me a phone appointment for the first week in April when I’ll be 16 weeks 😢

Hi Ladies. A few years ago, I used to be an incredibly anxious person and a huge worrier, until a friend of mine gave me some advice that really resonated with me (and I think it might be in a film too). I thought I'd share in case it can help anyone

When you're overcome with anxiety/worry, ask yourself:
Will it help?
Will it change anything?

More often than not, the answer is always no. It took me some time and a lot of practice, but I'm much better off for it now. It's a lot easier said than done as always, but hopefully it might be able to curb even a little bit of anxiety/worry x

Is anyone else getting jokes from people about 'what you've been up to during lockdown' when you tell them? It annoys me a bit as with my endo and that we've been ttc for 6 months it's not like it was an oops moment...

@Kirky658 we haven’t yet but expecting it once we post on social media (fingers crossed everything is ok) we were ttc 2.5 years so I’m trying to come up with a friendly way of saying ‘don’t be nosy/that’s inappropriate/you don’t know what we’ve been thru’ 😂
