Thought we could continue on here? Unless someone has made a different one.

@gigi554 what tests need done before 10weeks?

gigi556 · 27/01/2021 18:01

@LittleAurora screening for sickle cell and thalassaemia. www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/your-pregnancy-care/your-antenatal-care/

Mamabearwhere · 27/01/2021 20:01

Anyone taking the pregncare max vitamins and feel they make you feel ill? I accidentally missed a couple of days and felt fine but felt so sick again since taking them again. 🤮

VNttc · 28/01/2021 08:54

@mamabearwhere yes! Not that brand but similar! I stopped them and just take folic acid and vitamin d instead :) I felt so ill on them and now hardly anything!

Equimum · 28/01/2021 08:57

When does everyone have their booking appointments? I could my get through to the more wives yesterday so will try again today.

Had a long chat with DH yesterday and we have decided to go for the Harmony test this time. I am 38 and quite worried about the impacts this will have.

Have a good day ladies

Hopefulmummie · 28/01/2021 09:14

Morning :) does anyone have nausea but nothing actually comes up? I think that's someone's worse 🤢 constantly gagging over the toilet x

Yes me! I never actually throw up but incredibly nauseas. Previous pregnancies I was able to eat crackers to help with it but this pregnancy the thought of crackers alone makes me heave!
MrsTD88 · 28/01/2021 09:26

@Equimum I have mine over the phone on Friday 5th Feb, I will be 7+2 by then going by LMP. I should then be booked in for bloods after that.

FTEngineerM · 28/01/2021 09:26

Me too @Hopefulmummie @Mamabearwhere it’s all day nausea that gets worse if I’m hot or hungry.

Hopefulmummie · 28/01/2021 09:27

@mamabearwhere I've read about eating crackers but the thought of anything atm is making me heave but I know i need to get as getting hunger pains too. Can't even face getting out of bed this morning x

Hopefulmummie · 28/01/2021 09:28

@FTEngineerM yeah mines started off a few days ago where I just got nauseas as soon as I'm hungry but this morning the morning sickness is in full flow 🤢

Mamabearwhere · 28/01/2021 09:29

Yes the same here. I’ve just about managed to get out of bed and come downstairs but only to lie on the sofa again. So grateful that we’re working from home, I still remember being stuck on the London Underground feeling this horrendous past pregnancies.

Hopefulmummie · 28/01/2021 09:32

@mamabearwhere I still have to work in the office 2 days a week and I'm dreading it if this is going to keep up. I don't know how I'll hide it

Scotti84 · 28/01/2021 11:10

I’m the same with nausea, on one side I’m happy I’m not throwing up but on the other side I was worried about it not happening. I try and eat toast and soup (not together) and constantly drink water which seems to help keep it at bay. Also lemonade and I think was it @FTEngineerM that suggested Fanta fruit twist? That’s a massive help too!

Just three more weeks and hopefully things will start to settle down... so I’ve been told 🤢

Well on the other end of the spectrum I have had zero nausea which is totally different to my previous pregnancies. I'm only 6+6 today but very worried about miscarriage due to lack of symptoms 😥 Just waiting to see how it all pans out. Trying to tell myself that the odds of having a healthy pregnancy are greater than having a miscarriage...

Bubbles1st · 28/01/2021 11:30

@Equimum my booking appt is on the phone and at 9 weeks

gigi556 · 28/01/2021 11:33

I take the together health vitamins. They are made from food sources so easier to digest than synthetic vitamins. Very high quality and British company. Worth having a look at them. I have a referral link here for 25% off your first order: prz.io/KJyLoxIY

Sophiederuges · 28/01/2021 11:34

Same @gigi556. Home schooling and work are keeping me busy, but it's still there at the back of my mind.

Piecrust32 · 28/01/2021 11:40

@gigi556 if it eases your mind with my 2nd I had zero symptoms, which made me suspicious 🙈 but had a perfectly normal pregnancy,

Hope every one is keeping well

Scan appt 9th March at 9am - I dread the early morning ones as I'm normally so ill , its going to be interesting...

Piecrust32 · 28/01/2021 11:42

@Equimum my booking is at 9 weeks but I have to go into hospital as mines deemed high risk

Ahoynoy · 28/01/2021 11:52

Ive been lurking and trying to distract myself simultaneously because of the anxiety @gigi556 it’s really tough... have you seen the miscarriage reassurance calculator? Someone posted here (or maybe another thread) datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer and I’m trying to focus on today I am pregnant. I thought if I “held it lightly” it would be easier, and I’d be less upset if it didn’t stick... but it’s not possible!

I am really struggling with symptoms however- I’ve gone to bed before dinner the last 2 days with a migraine, I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. The nausea varies and I’ve had a couple of days where I’ve been able to eat a bit more.

I’m 5+2 today- I’ve spoken to community midwives twice now to sort out my booking appointment- phoned to register on Monday and was allocated a midwife and she phoned me today to book my booking appointment- which is on Monday when I’ll be 5+6. They don’t usually book people here until 10-11 weeks! And you don’t get a scan date til after that. With dating scan between 12-14 weeks. But they want the OB to review me ASAP, they think probably they’ll have an appointment with me next week too. Ive got haematology appointment a week today too to review my meds.

Early scan has been mentioned by them so we’ll see if OB wants one (though partners aren’t allowed to anything other than 12 and 20 weeks) Otherwise I’m going to book one for 7/8 weeks I think. It all feels a bit more real but still so fragile- and a lot to cancel if seedling doesn’t stay!!

gigi556 · 28/01/2021 11:54

@Piecrust32 thanks! I know it's possible, I think it's just self preservation to prepare yourself for the worst. I might go for a private scan at 8-9 weeks to ease my mind but we'll see. My husband isn't keen because he doesn't want to expose the family to any unnecessary contacts with Covid the risk of Covid

Equimum · 28/01/2021 11:57

Thanks everyone. I got through this morning and have an appointment and bloods booked for when I am 10 weeks, so all good.

On the nausea front, I am another one who doesn’t vomit, but feels really weak and nauseous. It’s particularly bad this morning, and my kids are not helping. They are overtired and not co-operating with home schooling. I think we may give up and watch a film this afternoon. I think that’s about all I can manage!

gigi556 · 28/01/2021 11:59

@Ahoynoy thanks for the calculator. I know I need to think positive! My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at almost 8 weeks so I think the further I get the better I'll feel. This lack of symptoms just really has me worrying. Though I can't complain about not feeling nauseous as it's truly awful!
