I can’t believe how big some of the bumps are mine is so small it almost makes me feel like iv done something wrong! but I was tiny pre pregnancy I’m also very tall with a long torso so lots of room I had to stretch out! And baby is on the small side the mw said she’s in the 26th percentile..

I can't believe how many of you seem to have escaped the dreaded stretch marks. Mine are terrible 😭

@PoorReg don't be fooled, they can appear as the bump goes down lol that's what happened with me with my first. Had none, then two appeared as my bump reduced .

@lnbarne at my growth scan today midwife said my bump probably appears small because of that exact reason, a long torso and space for baby to 'hide away'. Scan indicated all totally normal size though

I haven’t seen any stretch marks yet except one small one where my belly ring used to be but I haven’t used anything to prevent them the entire pregnancy so I’m sure they will come post baby

I haven’t had a scan in like 6 weeks so hopefully baby will have caught up on some weight and is a bit bigger..

@PoorReg oh they are there, just very low at the bottom of my bump! (And on my thighs from weight gain but shhhh we won't talk about those ones!)

@Safxxx bubble bath running as we speak! Not only did I buy loads of chocolate but also a tub of Ben & Jerry's that I seriously need to try resist eating in one sitting 😂🙈 how's your pain been? Has it eased off at all?

Had my appointment today and apparently previous midwife gave me wrong info, I'm not able to have my sweep til next week and I'll be ten days over by then 😩

Baby measuring big already, estimated about 9 pound 11 atm so god knows what she'll be by next week! I know the measurements aren't exact but I'm carrying a lot like when I had my ten pound boy 😬 I'm only small and petite and he was a bit of a struggle to birth so my anxiety is kicking off 😢

She also said I should've been seeing a consultant and having growth scans due to previous big baby.
No one even mentioned it til now!

I know people have worse things to worry about, just feeling a bit worried and gutted right now,

@jbx10 wow snow! It’s so mild here.

I am totally wiped out today. Dragged myself out for a walk, went further than I meant to. I was so hot and think my blood sugar dropped about 1km from home I felt awful. Had to sit on someone’s wall for a while. Stuffed my face and passed out on the sofa when I got back.

Now also having a nice bubble bath. Getting some crampy lower abdominal discomfort. Might be the start of something?! 39 weeks tomorrow.

Jealous of Ben and Jerry’s... I want ice cream. I’m not normally that big a fan.

I’m also expecting the stretch marks to surface once my bump goes down. Can see some shadows in places. I have quite stretch marky skin.

I have a small bump but my baby is growing fine, pretty average on my growth chart, just below the middle.

Booked in for a sweep next week at my 40 week check. Has anyone had one before? X x x

@ExhaustedMumofsix why wouldn’t they give you a sweep today? You’re already over? I was considering insisting on one this week at 39 weeks. X

@jbx10 thats nice enjoy your bath, and chocs, hmm ben & jerrys i could do with that too lol.
I honestly can't get comfortable hes quite high up and my ribcage and upper back hurts, I've taken gaviscon 3 times. Wanted a walk was hoping he might come down alittle but its pouring outside.
Got my 2nd growth scan tmro would like to see how much this bugger weighs now as he sure is weighing me down 🤣

@ExhaustedMumofsix i think you should seek second opinion. Or even better hope you naturally go into labour very soon 🤞

@Safxxx yeah the midwife told me last week I should be carrying snacks with me after I said I was really hungry at the appointment (she was running an hour late...). I just forget because I never go anywhere! X x x

@muriel84 midwife said they simply don't offer them until at least 41 weeks gone unless you have a medical reason 🤷‍♀️ thought a previous chunk of a baby would be reason enough but obviously not in her eyes 😒

I've been seeing a different midwife every time so I think Ive just got unlucky, she seemed very by the book.

That doesn't seem right, I've had 3 sweeps so far and I am 39+4. Although I am 3cm dilated with irregular contractions. They are inducing me this week if nothing happens on its own.

They offered each time rather than me asking.

@Safxxx that does sound uncomfortable hopefully baby will drop soon to take some pressure off your ribs and ease up your heartburn. How much did he weigh at your last growth scan? Let us know how tomorrow goes. I have my growth scan Thursday & I don't know why I feel nervous for this one - not really been nervous at any others. Might be because it could be the last scan before I get to see her in real life. Feels much more real now!

@Muriel84 yeah definitely carry some snacks with you you don't want to over do it, you could go into labour anytime reserve your energy for that 😇 I've just got out of the bath I could sit in that for hours😂

@jbx10 yeah i agree as you have had regular scans you now know this one will be your last, so its understandable.
Mine weighed 5lbs 14oz at the last scan lets see the diffrence tmro 🤔

Congratulations @IronMummy28! Hope all the other mummy’s are ok? I have been in my baby bubble enjoying my little dinky doo but still trying to get this urine sample from her for the paediatricians, we collected this little bag thing from the gp today so we need to use that now! But midwife came to check her today and they are happy with her she has only lost 3 percent of her original weight and they can lose up to 10 percent, I get she is small but I don’t like all the scare mongering that they are doing about her size saying she could have had a virus in the womb etc.

@Char41zam as long as shes healthy don't worry, let them do their tests hopefuly all is well. Is she feeding ok? Xx

@Char41zam you had regular growth scans right? What weight did they estimate?

@Safxxx you are right I don’t feel like there is any issues, I had pre eclampsia and the placenta was not right so to me that makes sense that she is small but I guess they are just looking into it even further, I have never had big baby’s anyway and Leila was not due until the 13th where as the others were over due too. She us feeding great but had to change from breast to bottle as she gets tired easily and I was far to sore so I expressed some colostrum a few times so she at least got the good stuff.

Yes I did! And the last one I had they said she was 5lb so she basically hadn’t grown since then, it’s so scary to think my placenta wasn’t working properly and I had no signs!
