@Nesski Urm... it’s just like as soon as I stand it pulls and that causes the aches ... like muscular aches / dragging, if I do push a certain point, yes it feels like a bruise!

I’m 28 weeks and few days and measuring along the normal / middle line - didn’t get this with the 1st, I don’t have any fat on the belly area, maybe that’s part of it, no cushioning just muscle

Waitingforbabypage · 04/04/2021 19:29

Does anyone else have a sneaky suspicion their baby will arrive early?
This is my third and I'm 31 weeks, my first was 6 days early and my second was bang on his due date. This one is pressing right down, she feels like she's about to fall out! 🙈 I've had back pain and a hard bump all of the day and I've just got this unsettled feeling that she's not going to hang on. I am so uncomfortable.

Lovethatjourneyforme · 04/04/2021 19:49

@AIRRRR I get that if I've overstretched myself a bit that day. We're decorating out bedroom at the moment, so I've had it a few times after a full day of DIY. Feels like muscle ache and a little tender on my left side. I expect you'll have had very busy days with a 4 year old old! Could be that?

Nesski · 04/04/2021 19:52

@airrrr it doesn't sound like anything sinister but do call your midwife if it's a concern, not been doing any planks/sit ups? Wink

@Waitingforbabypage I bloody hope mine is on time, anything past 21st of June is a win (due 23rd) so hoping there will be more relaxation in hospitals! Is yours growing on point? Mine is estimated 1.3kg and I'm just amazed at how they basically triple in size in the last 3 months!

AlRRRR · 04/04/2021 19:57

I’ve actually just been resting as it feels damn awful 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but then I have to stand up, my 4 yr old luckily sits through whole movies and / or plays with me whilst I sit on the sofa if I say my tummy needs a rest hahah

I’ll ask midwife this week probs, just been referred to birth centre for rest of appointments as i’ve decided on that for birth

Waitingforbabypage · 04/04/2021 20:20

@Nesski she's measuring completely average- spot on for her dates- I've had growth scans to keep an eye on her because I'm older (35) and on the heavier side (size 20) and my son was only a 6lber

I have no real reason to expect her early but these pains are different to the usual spd ones I've been having- it feels like kidney pain without it being my kidneys. My bump has been rock hard, even more so when I move, it doesn't really soften much when I rest or lay down.

Thankfully I'm in hospital tomorrow for another growth scan so might pop to the day unit and just ask them to check my tummy, see what they think.

Best get the bags packed.....just in case....

Humpty11 · 04/04/2021 20:35

@Waitingforbabypage fingers crossed the baby stays put until you’re full term!
You may have a urine infection that’s making everything feel very heavy - I had one when I was pregnant with my son and felt like he was going to fall out. Will they dip your urine at your appointment tomorrow or is it literally just a scan?

Waitingforbabypage · 04/04/2021 20:44

@Humpty11 just a scan, but I can either nip to the day unit or wait until Tuesday when I see my midwife and she'll check my urine then.

Humpty11 · 04/04/2021 20:46

@Waitingforbabypage hopefully you’ll feel more comfortable tomorrow but if not then it might be worth getting them to double check for you. I hope you’re more comfortable soon.

Opticabbage · 04/04/2021 22:52

@AIRRRR Yes to bump ache! One side aches so much. I find myself holding the achey part for support, but lying down is the only thing that really helps. Swear she's stretching out sideways in there.

DollyParton2 · 04/04/2021 22:55

Waitingforbabypage I totally also feel this- it’s no 3 for me too arrrgh! 1st was bang on due date 2nd 2 weeks early...baby this time is measuring top of percentile and bump feels heavy & low. I just have a feeling he will be early too.

PinkPlantCase · 04/04/2021 23:11

@AlRRRR I have bump ache in the night or in the morning if I haven’t changed sides often enough. In the day I’m alright so the opposite of what you’ve found 😂

AlRRRR · 05/04/2021 07:45

Thanks @Opticabbage and @PinkPlantCase

Sitchervice · 05/04/2021 09:33

My bump has REALLY dropped down... 🤔

AlRRRR · 05/04/2021 10:25

@Fightingtobepositive I did read your post other day about update regarding the on going tests your having for the cervix, I’m wishing you all the best. Are you feeling okay about it all? :)

Penny2020 · 05/04/2021 15:18

Hi ladies, anyone else’s bubba in breach position? I had to have a growth scan last week (all checked out ok) but they said baby is in breach. I’m only 32 weeks so I’d assume plenty of time for her to move around before d-day and the midwife didn’t seem worried at all, but a few people I’ve told have said it’s unusual to still be breach at this point so now wondering if I already need to be doing extra ‘turning exercises’ and whatnot that I’ve seen online. I’m a FTM so not sure what’s normal. Anyone else still got a skull sticking in to their ribs?

Also, another achy and hard bump here. Painful at times. Feels like lots of bruising too, thought that was normal so let me know if your midwife say otherwise!!!

AlRRRR · 05/04/2021 15:44

@Penny2020 Not sure about the breech thing, I’m 29 weeks, and my MW said mine is head down, she said same at 25 week appointment. I haven’t had any other scans apart from 12 and 20 weeks.

I was the one who posted about the achy bump yday, sleeping all night fixed it and today it’s bad soft and no aches :) I’m sure it’ll come back if I do anything strenuous though?

Sitchervice · 05/04/2021 16:03

@Penny2020 baby's take as long as up to 36 weeks to turn so I'm not sure why people are saying it's unusual. Sometimes they don't even turn until the day of!

Mine still spins, turns ect.

Penny2020 · 05/04/2021 16:47

@Sitchervice well that’s what I thought too!!! Then I shall just ignore them and carry on as normal - as I said the midwife was totally non-plussed and my general approach to pregnancy is if the midwife is happy then I should be happy.

Sitchervice · 05/04/2021 18:28

@Penny2020 yes midwives have years of experience. Plus if baby is still breach nearing due date they might ask if your alright with them trying to turn baby anyway

MelissaAnn92 · 05/04/2021 22:25

Hope everyone's getting on okay.
Odd night for me, one leaky boobHmm what it's like to be a woman!! Xxx

Edelweiss2020 · 06/04/2021 07:25

Also got a breech baby with his head in my ribs! 31 weeks today, midwife last week wasn't at all bothered and said she is certain he will turn. Wriggles and twists and turns like crazy, so I'm sure he will. Listen to your midwife, ignore other people! :)

BlondePotter · 06/04/2021 13:06

I've just phoned to book my 31 week appt with GP because the midwife said they're sharing the care (my 25 week one was with GP and was shit)
The receptionist said it would be a phone appt on Thurs. I insisted it was f2f because how else would they measure me, do BP and urine test and she said her manager said 31 week appts are phone only, and that was it...
Theres no point in me having it then, wondering whether to just call the midwife and tell them what they said and see if she will see me instead 🙁 for some reason it's mad me cry for about 2 hours and go back to bed rather than work as well 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sitchervice · 06/04/2021 13:32

@BlondePotter I would certainly phone your midwife, this has happened to me in the past and I was just like fine, I'll phone and ask the midwife then.

Nesski · 06/04/2021 13:35

@BlondePotter FlowersCake hopefully the 2 hour session has sorted you out and you're back on track. Just call the midwife!
