Hey all,

I know this is bit of a long shot, but is anyone due in March 2021?

I appreciate everyone is from different places, but are there a few ladies that want to create a WhatsApp group or something so we can be “cyber mum friends”?

I know being a mum (or a first time mum in my case) can be very daunting and a scary time, and not only that, but it can be quite lonely.. so it’s be great if a few people would like to become “online friends” so we can just talk and have company/share experiences/worries/how bored they are Hmm

6 days over and still no sign, I guess I won’t be having a March baby 😂

Mahdia · 31/03/2021 16:04

@Squellyolwelly aww hopefully hebor she will make an entrance by midnight! I can't believe March is ending today 😢 I have an attachment to it kkkk.
Has anyones newborn got like milk spots or baby acne I think its called (heat rash???) Tiny red spots like a rash on forehead nose and around the eyes. It looks quite scary but I couldn't figure out what to do and they decided to show themselves after the midwife discharged me!! Lol 😆 it couldn't have been a better time right!!?? Hahaha 🤣

Squellyolwelly · 31/03/2021 18:02

@Mahdia haha I wish but doesn’t look like it! Had a sweep today and nothing happening yet so going to walk to the shop for dinner and see what if things kickstart. First baby and he’s only just dropped in the last couple of days so seems he’s quite content in there haha

Jonesy86 · 31/03/2021 23:13

Little man arrived on his due date!
Was due to be induced but contractions started they had break waters. Two pushes and he was out!!
Good luck to the rest of you who are still waiting. It is all worth it in the end.
Hope everyone is well and bubba's as doing good. Xxx

Mahdia · 01/04/2021 06:51

@Jonesy86 wow 👏 congratulations!!!!!
That's such wonderful news!!! I always loved babies to come on their due dates its more exciting isn't it? Hope you're doing well bubsie doing well and please rest well and enjoy those special moments and cuddles coz they won't stay babies forever 💕 lol
Well done!!

MrsW150917 · 01/04/2021 12:14

Congrats @Jonesy86 !!! 😆 enjoy your new baby!!
Mine is over 2 weeks already can't believe how quick it's going 😩
He's gained 11oz since birth weight so I must have super milk lol
He's feeding so much but also pooping so much and poor little man has got poo burns on his skin on his bottom it's red raw it looks like the skin when a blister comes off I called dr but they said just out metanium on it. Once side seems to have cleared a little bit but the other side is still raw!! He cries so much when I'm changing him and I'm being so gentle and using cotton balls and water instead of wipes now. Has anyone else had this?! I feel like crying every time I see it 😢 poor baby

Squellyolwelly · 04/04/2021 01:39

Congrats @Jonesy86!

Things are finally happening for me. Had irregular contractions since yesterday and haven’t really slept, haven’t been able to keep anything down today and was becoming exhausted so came in to hosp to see if I need fluids and turns out I’m 5cm!! Wasn’t expecting to be that far along with how I was feeling. Had an anti sickness jab so I can try to eat something and they’re getting the pool ready for me to try as we speak 😆

Helenknowsbest · 04/04/2021 11:35

My little girl arrived 2nd April, induced after being a week late. My little easter baby

Jonesy86 · 04/04/2021 13:42

@Helenknowsbest oh wow amazing news congratulations hope you are both doing well and are home.

@Jonesy86 he was born at 2.44 weighing 8 pound 7 by c section in the end! Had no gas and air until this morning and was coping really well but had only got to 6cm overnight. After an internal exam things really ramped up and had excruciating pain in my back and horrible pressure in my bum and wasn’t coping at all with it, nothing was progressing, had gas and air by this point. Gas and air was causing me to crash as I hadn’t slept more than 2 hours in the last 48. They gave me epidural and hormone drip and by early afternoon was still only 6cm! So they thought it best to do a c section. His heart rate kept dipping and rising with contractions. As it turns out he had the cord wrapped around his leg twice so he wasn’t physically able to get low enough to engage his head and help dilation along.

So in love with him though 😍😍 and will hopefully be discharged within a couple of days. They just want to monitor his breathing for 12 hours as was slightly elevated after the section

Jonesy86 · 04/04/2021 22:36

@Squellyolwelly congratulations that's is amazing news, sorry it was so traumatic though at least you are both well.
I had to stay in as little man 💩 on his way out.
With the other 2 I was sent home within hours so I did like staying in for a night and having some chill time with little man. Enjoy the rest and the nurses looking after you. Xxx

MrsW150917 · 05/04/2021 21:01

Congratulations @Squellyolwelly and @Helenknowsbest really pleased for you both! Enjoy your newborn babies 🥰❤️😘

Squellyolwelly · 16/05/2021 11:06

Little update! We was in for a few days after the section as I had high no and history of eclampsia in my family, and he had a high breathing rate. But he’s 6 weeks old today and doing well! Breathing was back to normal after a few days, turns out he was just drinking his milk too quick 😂 Exclusively expressing at the moment as after 4 days in hospital on a mix of expressed and formula, and then a really bad tongue tie that was snipped the following week he struggled to latch. We did see the specialist and she got him latched but by that point I’d decided to try expressing full time. And tbh I prefer that as my partner can do night feeds when he needs to 😂 it is hard though as I have to try and express minimum 8 times a day the midwife said!
He's also been sleeping through most of the night for the last week or so and waking around 5ish!

How’s everyone else getting on?

MrsW150917 · 16/05/2021 12:08

@Squellyolwelly glad to hear you are both ok. And that's really good he's sleeping most the night at just 6 weeks for a breast fed baby! You are lucky. My boy is 2 months old today and he's still every 3 hours (sometimes 2! 😩)
I was exclusive pumping, he was on my breast milk for first 5 weeks. MW told me to express same times to mimic his feeding but that was every 2 hours which I couldn't keep up with! But I just expressed one breast at a time every 3-4hours ish but I had a strong milk supply I could pump 5-6oz per breast. Through the night I'd express just once halfway through but id do the 2 then. It suited us and was nice to get hubby involved with bottle feeds but he's now on lactose free formula as he was poorly for a while he had excessive diarreah which caused ulcerated skin around his bottom ☹️ and nobody seemed to know why for a while so I got referred to paediatricians who trialled him on cows milk allergy for a week (with me cutting out dairy) still no success then they referred a dietician who assessed him as lactose intolerant. He literally improved overnight and went from 13+ diarreah nappies a day to just 1-2 firm poops and the rash on his bottom cleared up within 3 days so I decided to stop breast milk as I'd felt so guilty that my milk had caused it and I didn't want to risk continuing breast feeding and relying on Lactaze tablets as it would never completely eliminate 100% of the lactose so didn't want to risk him being poorly again.
He has reflux too so is on a thickener agent to keep his milk down.
He's well and thriving though and that's the main thing.
Only problem is he's growing way too quick it's going too fast! My sister in law had a baby 2 weeks ago and it made me broody again !! 😆 already!!
For someone who was never too fussed on having kids before, I have really surprised myself! I'm totally in love with little man and definitely would like another one in a couple of years ☺️ I'm gutted I didn't start sooner. I just love being a mommy 🥰 best feeling in the world xxx

Hope everyone and their March babies are all well xxx

Squellyolwelly · 16/05/2021 16:23

@MrsW150917 you did your best though, you shouldn’t feel guilty, you weren’t to know he would have an intolerance! His health is obviously the most important thing so it’s good that he’s doing really well still.
I’ve been expressing in the night if he’s a bit fussy and wakes me up, but if he doesn’t get fussy I sleep until he does so I sometimes miss that time slot.
Yeah it definitely goes too quick! I can’t believe we’ve had a baby in the house for 6 weeks 😂

Hey! Just thought I'd drop by and say Hi 👋🏻
Hope you all enjoyed your LO's first Christmas ❤️
It was just wonderful having DS this year. The BEST yet 😊
He was well and truly spoilt we need a bigger house just for his toys! 😆

What's all your babies doing now? Mine did his first bum shuffle on Xmas eve 😌 hates tummy time so don't think he will be a crawler!
He says baba, boo (we call the dog boo) and blows many raspberries and LOVES his food! He weighed 20lbs 2oz on the day he was 9 months. He is a tank!

Hope you and your LO's are all well! Xxx

Jonesy86 · 10/01/2022 15:57

Happy new year.
