Hey all,

I know this is bit of a long shot, but is anyone due in March 2021?

I appreciate everyone is from different places, but are there a few ladies that want to create a WhatsApp group or something so we can be “cyber mum friends”?

I know being a mum (or a first time mum in my case) can be very daunting and a scary time, and not only that, but it can be quite lonely.. so it’s be great if a few people would like to become “online friends” so we can just talk and have company/share experiences/worries/how bored they are

@dinosaur17 oh bless you. I read walking up and down stairs side ways can help lol. I'm not due until end month but they said prob have induce me early as he is big!! So got scan this week to find out if they going to induce me end of week. I'm so uncomfortable I am hoping he is early. No position is comfortable lol.

Have you got a birthing ball? Get bouncing on there as well and try eating pineapple.

@MrsW150917 how are you today? Have my fingers crossed for you for today in time for tomorrow.

@Jonesy86 oh exciting! Hopefully it’s a quick induction! On the ball as we speak drying my hair 😂 I’ve been having some weird contractions since about 10, every 15 mins sort of under my bump and round my back lasting a couple of mins. Not painful though! So who knows what’s going on in there!
Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend and some of us will have new babies in time for Mother’s Day!

Hi ladies, I went to triage last night because I didn't feel many movements yesterday so they monitored me and had me back in for more monitoring today. He's been moving today and his heart and everything was fine so that's all good but they've booked me in to be induced tomorrow evening anyway as the decrease in movements sometimes can be a sign of the placenta not playing ball, she mentions it ages and there's no way they can really tell off observations and monitoring and been as I am 39+3 they just said they will get me started!

Ahhhh I'm so excited!!! The induction process can take anything from a few hours up to 3 days depending on how quick it works so at least I know that by Wednesday at the very latest I am going to be a mommy for the first time! I'm so happy 😁

I'm still sore and really tired but much happier at home! Resting up as much as I can and baby has been a wee angel too 🥰just want to fast forward a few weeks so I can enjoy being a mummy!

I'm watching the thread every day now for updates.....cmon the March babies! 😍😍

@MrsW150917 hope it goes well, I got induced with my last child 2 yrs ago and it was a straight forward experience, mind you the pessary came out after 18 hours (not too sure of the exact hours tbh) but as she was about to put another one in she checked my cervix if they could do a sweep (it was very high and hard before) she done it and after a while they broke my waters and everything was blur from then too high using My absolute best friend GAS And AIR kkkk
I was so out of it that I didn't know what exactly was going on. But I'm gonna try pethidine this time as well beginning of the labour as many ppl say it makes it easier to cope with and let's you rest.
Good luck! Its my sister's twin's (boy and girl) birthday is today they're turning 9, they said they would love my baby to have the same bday as them!!!
3 days overdue and getting so many messages from family and friends any contractions yet? Poor them the wait must be killing them! 😔
And my sister's youngest daughter was born 19th March (next friday turning 1) so hopefully i won't reach then but just giving baby options!!!! 😆 🤣 😂

@dinosaur17 oh hope you don’t have to long to wait! I am now 3 days over due! Had a sweep this morning! No pain or anything during or after sweep! I’m so ready for this baby now x

Sadly no, but I feel like my waters may break any moment!! Does anyone else feels the same!

@Mahdia I feel like this baby is about to fall out! My waters have always gone right before baby appears but I feel like they must be bulging!!

@Thunder212 ohh I hope you get some movement! What time did you have it? I had one Friday as well and started having pains 1/2 hours later but then everything settled down 😫

@dinosaur17 I had it at 11:30 this morning, then went for a walk, have some clear watery/jelly like stuff coming out and the odd cramp but nothing thing major. I woke at 2 am last night with cramps thought that was it starting and it came to nothing so I’m thinking these cramps won’t come to much either!
Are you going to get another sweep ?

@Thunder212 oh I hope they become regular for you! I keep waking up with a bad stomach and assume it’s something happening but all stops after a while! OH thinks it’ll be tomorrow! We’ve been for a walk and I’m seeing MW tomorrow at 11 so will have another sweep. I’m sure if my waters broke he’d just fall out 😂 I was 1cm on Friday so hoping for 2cm tomorrow!

Have you booked in to be induced? They’ve asked me to book in tomorrow for 40+10 but I’m feeling very anxious about going ahead with that at the minute

I came in hospital 17:30 yesterday for induction following DFM over Fri and Sat. They are so busy and short staffed it's taken 24hours of waiting but they've finally induced me with the gel pro pess (it's like a tampon) at 17:00 today, wasn't so bad.
After 2 hours it fell out !! 🙄
Had it pushed back in by a different MW- which may I add OMG really hurt to do this!! She did warn me that it would be a "little sensitive" wowza!! I genuinely thought it would come out my nose the way she shoved it up!! 😳

Now I'm considering calling the whole thing off 😂

Hopefully he or she'll make an appearance soon. I've got my midwife appointment tomorrow ill be 40 +6 days so I may ask for a sweep even though I'm dreading it!!

Yeah they have me booked in for the 24th...I’m really hoping it doesn’t come to that! My first baby was 11 days early so I’m still so shocked I’ve gone over this time!!

@Mahdia I know everyone is different but the sweep was not as bad as I thought and had read up about! I was so nervous the whole drive there and it was fine! Hopefully we will all have baby announcements soon x

@Thunder212 Ah that’s when I’ll be booked for as well but I’m praying he arrives by himself!! I’ve been having period cramps all night but doesn’t seem to turn into anything!

@Mahdia I promise the sweep isn’t that bad. I had one with DC2 and she was born 4 hours later! Hoping for today’s to go in the same direction!

@dinosaur17 the sweep was ok, I was getting so anxious 😟 and my midwife reassured me that she'll do it gently 🙃 which is great but aftermath is another story... 😆 every period cramp feeling I geti keep thinking its the real deal... but braxton hicks/ backaches r all kinda fading away. Anyone else had a sweep recently? I may ask gor another one my next appointment if I don't give birth. She said my cervix was quite high so she had to force it down which was quite uncomfortable not tooooo painful 😬 but still not your cuppa tea either!!!!
Hopefully things will kick-start tonight kkkk
Anyone heard of fenugreek seeds, someone mentioned its good for labour??

@Mahdia Glad it’s not totally put you off! I had a student midwife as well who wanted to have a go 😂 so I suppose I’ve had 1.5 today!
Last one didn’t do anything, I’ve had a nap and woken up with regular tightening all round my bump and back, seems to start off in my back/bum then spreads round my belly/legs. Can’t really seem to time them at the minute so wondering if they are just braxton hicks

My baby girl arrived today at 12:02pm! We are just getting ready to take her home 💕 my heart is so full! Sweep definitely worked for me!

@Thunder212 oh that is brilliant congratulations.
lol have my scan tomo to decide if have to be induced as he a chunky monkey. Part me hopes they do as I feel so uncomfortable now feel all bruised down there lol but also part me wants it to happen naturally. My first was natural and second was induced. Both good labours just want him to be ready lol.

It's so nice hearing of all the babies being born so exciting for every one.

@Mahdia how are you doing? I’ve had a sort of decentish sleep (broken by many many loo breaks) contractions have been going most of the night but still no closer together than 10 mins or anymore painful really! Need to try and get things moving!

@dinosaur17 myself as well at one point i thought this is the start but its not regular. I'm quite tired 😫 but I'm trying to take fenugreek seeds to get things moving. Not sure if it'll work but hey it's worth a shot right?

Ive not heard of taking them, but certainly worth a shot! I’ve been on the birthing ball for about an hour, going to get dressed and go for a walk, just desperate to get things moving!
