Hey all,

I know this is bit of a long shot, but is anyone due in March 2021?

I appreciate everyone is from different places, but are there a few ladies that want to create a WhatsApp group or something so we can be “cyber mum friends”?

I know being a mum (or a first time mum in my case) can be very daunting and a scary time, and not only that, but it can be quite lonely.. so it’s be great if a few people would like to become “online friends” so we can just talk and have company/share experiences/worries/how bored they are Hmm

🥳💐🌺🌷🌹🌸

Jonesy86 · 18/03/2021 08:46

@Mahdia wow congratulations that lovely news so pleased for you. What did you call her? Rest up and enjoy those cuddles.

I had my scan yesterday and am being induced as he a little beast lol so hopefully next week it will all start for me if he hasn't decided to come on his own by then. Xx

LittleBrownBaby · 18/03/2021 08:53

Congrats to those of you who have had your babies now. My c section is booked for Monday so counting down the days!

Mahdia · 18/03/2021 09:49

Thanks everyone and I hope everyone has their babies safely and quickly ❤
Trust me after hardship is ease. What us mothers go through eh? But the price is wonderful and ill definitely enjoy those cuddles ☺.
We still haven't named her, nan likes Hanna after her aunt but I'm still surfing around for good names kkk.

dinosaur17 · 18/03/2021 17:01

@Mahdia Ah congratulations on your girly!

Little man arrived this morning at 7:53 weighing 7lb 3 oz, he’s feeding like a dream and super chilled

Mahdia · 18/03/2021 18:59

@dinosaur17 👏 congratulations on the birth of your baby 👶. I just remembered saying imagine we gave birth the same day!!!! Smile
Hope you're recovering well my one just latched on after a sleepy cycle and boy the after pains of stomach contracting is another story!
I'm so ever grateful for all the support everyone has shown us and we're cheering on the other mums who are near the end now.

@TwinMama6 and @Jonesy86 and @LittleBrownBaby thanks guys !! Much appreciated xxx

Mahdia · 18/03/2021 19:03

@Thunder212 congratulations 👏 🙌 on your baby!!!! I can definitely say its the second child I've had right after s sweep as well (1 or days later) works for some I think but worth a shot if anyone is thinking of it

MForMed · 18/03/2021 23:16

@Thunder212 @dinosaur17@Mahdia congratulations to you!!! So glad to hear that your little ones are finally here! Hope they're healthy and happy and feeding well!

@HungryHippo20 how are you feeling now?

I've now had 3 weeks of sleepless nights and fighting hard to breastfeed, my DS is still on a mix of BF and formula 😥, we've already covered baby reflux, colic and nappy rash 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. It can only get easier, right? 😂

Any separate threads for the march babies that are already here?

Fingers crossed for all you ladies still waiting for your little ones!

HungryHippo20 · 19/03/2021 00:56

I'm feeling a bit better every day, still not able to do as much as I'd like but I'm definitely getting there!

We are now exclusively formula and baby is much happier. She has a touch of nappy rash too which I hate seeing 😢am back to using cotton wool and water with a bit sudocrem but it's only just appeared in last 24 hours which is odd as we've done nothing different since she arrived 3 wks ago (same wipes etc)

Weather is improving in sunny Scotland so my hubby has been able to get out for a few walks with pram, wish I was for enough! But soon ☺️

Mahdia · 19/03/2021 07:12

@HungryHippo20 my daughter had nappy rash when she was smaller and we stopped wipes (sensitive ones) altogether until she was around 9 months then she became allergic to different brand nappies and that was another topic altogether!!!😆

Maybe if you try dipping Aldi sensitive wipes in warm water I found that softer on the skin than cotton wool with water as it seems more drier on skin.
Hope everyone is doing well. Currently waiting to be discharged to go home. The little one done lootts of poo in my tummy and she had her cord wrapped around her neck and shoulder the last stage of labour and they are just kept her for 24 hours for observations. Hopefully all seems well so I can get back to my bed.
Take care 🙂 ❤

MrsW150917 · 20/03/2021 21:25

Hi ladies I hope you are all well!
@Thunder212 @Mahdia @dinosaur17 congratulations on your little ones I hope you are all in good health.

After the pro pessary was re-inserted, it worked a treat!! And baby Jack was born on Tuesday 16th ... just!... 23:59pm lol after expecting a whopper he was a tiny 6lbs 9oz.

I am completely in love with him 🥰

Good luck to everyone still hanging in there. My advice is to embrace the rest whilst you can! My LO is very needy and nocturnal lol so I'm living on around 3hrs sleep a day and that's from daytime cat naps, it's exhausting but I wouldn't change him for the world now he's just amazing.

Take care lovelies xxx

romaniac123 · 21/03/2021 10:43

I’m taking a few minutes with a cuppa to catch up on the thread - a rare treat these days Wink Lovely to read everyone’s updates and glad to hear of all the babies that have safely arrived or will arrive soon.

We have named our little one Olivia and just to share a bit of my experience, she was born 51.5 hours after first pessary was inserted, my waters were broken in the end (a tsunami Grin) and despite originally hoping for a natural water birth, after being induced due to growth tailing off I took all the pain relief going - gas and air then morphine then finally an epidural, and after initial guilt of it not going to plan I’m glad I did. After waters were broken it took approximately 15.5 hours for Olivia to make her entrance.

Baby is sleeping like a dream, but breastfeeding is challenging so we’re combined feeding. I’ve hired the Medela Symphony pump to help boost my milk and it does seem to be helping - I got 70ml this morning!

I’d also love to keep the conversation going here or on another thread Smile

Good luck to everyone still waiting on their bundles to arrive. The lack of sleep is tough but it’s so worth it Smile

Mahdia · 22/03/2021 19:41

@MrsW150917 and @romaniac123 congratulations 👏 on your babies!!!! Hope everyone is doing well
We're also doing well apart from afterbirth pain and pain in nipples whilst breastfeeding and soreness in my body pain 😞
My little one's cord came off early yesterday (after 3 days) and started bleeding on her clothes, so I called delivery suite and they advised to take her to A&E and then took some blood tests and observed her navel for couple of hours. Was so hard being back in hospital as I've been home 2 days prior. (Was born on Thursday 18th March).
Is this normal guys, a 4 day old baby only starting peeing today and we were all so worried even the doctors, she had meconium and maybe teensy urine but every nappy was always dry and they thought coz I was exclusively breastfeeding (except once in hospital) and that my milk supply didn't come in until Saturday. But as I was taking her again to hospital she weed and boy was I happy .

I tried expressing using the electric pump and I must give it thumbs 👍 up as I've always used tommee tippee manual pump and I found it hard to use.
Hope everyone else has had their babies and enjoying cuddles. Xxxx

Congratulations to all!! I had my little boy Sunday at 11.24pm weighing 8lb 3- did most of the work in the water pool and came out for the last final stint. This was after two stretch and sweeps and the most horrific sickness in the early stages of labour that lasted from 4am earlier that morning. Active labour from 6:30pm till time of birth. It was an amazing experience and made me really value the incredible Nhs team. My community midwife who I’d seem throughout and have a lovely bond with busted into the birthing centre to deliver him which made me feel like a vip as she was on call - totally taking over and being a bad ass 😂😂 midwives are incredible. Settling in well and he’s gorgeous but still no name as I was convinced he was going to be a girl. Can’t believe he’s mine! Very proud :) It’s so so wonderful to hear everyone doing wel!! God women are amazing!! Well done to all and best of luck to the mamas still waiting. Xxx

Jonesy86 · 24/03/2021 18:02

Wow congratulations everyone love reading all these comments.
I'm still waiting so any tips to speed this up be much appreciated. I'm eating curries I'm walking the stairs I'm bouncing lol.
He not due until next Wednesday but as he is big they are going to induce me. They can't fit me in until Monday so hoping he decides come
On his own.

So glad everyone is doing well and the babies. It's such an exciting time and so good lockdown is coming to an end at least means we will be able To attend baby groups and mix with other mums.
Xxx

Squellyolwelly · 25/03/2021 17:24

Officially 40 weeks today! Had midwife appt and had a sweep although she said it’s unlikely to do anything at this point but I could have one if I wanted. She’s going to book me in for another next week but with any luck I won’t need it, haven’t had any signs of labour at all yet though so not getting my hopes up!

Jonesy86 · 27/03/2021 07:43

@Squellyolwelly hey how are you doing? I how did the sweep go? I have mine Monday hoping that little man decided he wants to come
This weekend on his own though! Think we make it to cost for them
And they don't want to leave lol.
Hope you are doing well and if they haven't already arrived they do soon for you xxx

Squellyolwelly · 27/03/2021 08:30

@Jonesy86 hi! I’m okay thanks you? Sweep was fine, a little uncomfortable and immediate period pains but they tailed off after the appointment. She did say i might lose a bit of mucus but it wouldn’t necessarily mean anything. Lost quite a bit of mucus this morning so will see if anything happens today! Also had some sharp pains low down last night, not sure if he was pushing his head down or turning it a bit but it hurt 😂
Yeah he does seem pretty cosy in there haha! Good luck with your sweep Monday, hopefully he comes before! I’m sick of waiting now I’m too uncomfortable 😂

Mahdia · 27/03/2021 09:15

Hiya all
Hope everyone who had the baby is doing well, its not easy with a newborn especially if you have other kids at home especially 2 year old!!!
Did anyone else with a 2 yr old get jealous especially girls I've heard they are more emotional than boys!!! My one did get jealous but after hubby taking her out and her aunt gifting her with things she likes she kinda is smitten by her !!!

@Jonesy86 @Squellyolwelly hopefully soon your babies will arrive. I tried 1 teaspoon of fenugreek powder with hot water and honey to bring natural labour its also good for milk supply (still haven't taking it since labour!!!) So I'll definitely try it for the latter. Brew
Take care guys and good luck!! Can't wait to hear you've had the bubsies!!Smile

Jonesy86 · 27/03/2021 10:22

@Squellyolwelly I feel bad for wanting him to hurry up lol but I'm in agony with back ache now plus my eyesight has changed (it did in my other 2 pregnancies at end) My glasses are useless atm lol
I'm sitting here now googling natural ways bring on labour 🤣🤣

Hopefully it's all signs of him coming today/tomorrow for you. Just keep active and hopefully will start for you.

@Mahdia oh I might have to try that not seen that one.
My 6 year old loved It when in 18 month old was born but we included her in everything but she was older. My 18 month old atm keeps smacking tummy saying no bubba and then pointing to herself saying bubba. Think going have some issues there. Just encouraging her atm when playing with her babies to be nice and feed them nicely. Just need make sure they included and give cuddles when bubs is asleep.
It is so hard to juggle but they will get use to it and accept them. They just use to all the attention and love.

So glad all is well and doing well.
This forum has been so good especially when need some reassurance. Hopefully can carry on with updates from everyone.
Xx

Squellyolwelly · 27/03/2021 15:48

@Jonesy86 who knows haha! Midwife has booked another sweep for Wednesday morning just incase. Been for a walk but tbh I’m so tired all the time I end up spending most of the day on the sofa! I do have a ball but that ends up making my back hurt so I don’t use it much.
When are/were you due?

Jonesy86 · 27/03/2021 16:57

@Squellyolwelly I'm due Wednesday but they done a growth scan as he big and wanted me induced later week but was full so now inducing me on due date but giving me a sweep on Monday.
I'm the same I'm so tired I can sleep all day when kids are at school lol plus my eyes got so many floaters and so dry. I asked midwife as freaked a bit about it and she said urine and blood pressure fine and no swollen hands or feet so not concerned. Think it all the bright weather and hormones.
When is your due date? Have they mentioned inducing you?
I'm so impatient just want them to be here now lol

Squellyolwelly · 27/03/2021 17:33

@Jonesy86 yeah I’ve had a few spots and blurred vision but they ruled pre eclampsia out with blood tests. I think it was the light for me as well. Ooh not long now then! My due date was thursday just gone 😫 they mentioned it just in regards to booking the sweep so they have time to send induction paperwork to the hospital but that’s all so far

Jonesy86 · 27/03/2021 18:33

@Squellyolwelly it all so scary. All these different things can means so much. Just hate the waiting lol makes me anxious. Today feel light headed but think due to tiredness lol roll on feeling normal again haha.
Oh hopefully you get a date soon they won't let you go too far over so you know will be soon. Someone told me pineapple juice and walking up and down stairs sideways lol. My partner thinks I've gone crazy haha.
I wonder how many off us left to have babies in this group. Everyone keeps telling me he will be born on 1st April lol 😂 x
