@TheDaydreamBelievers I haven't seen my midwife yet, hopefully she's not awful 😅 From my understanding NIPT is offered if other tests come up high risk or if you're over 35. I was thinking about booking one privately anyway 😊

About 1st trimester fatigue - I genuinely don't understand how those who already have kids survive it! Respect to all you! I'm struggling and I don't have any toddlers running about.

Gaxy1 · 13/11/2020 11:15

@sunnysideup3 I’ve been thinking the exact same thing. I’m massively struggling and I don’t have other kids. How do they do it!

Queenbee95 · 13/11/2020 12:37

Last few days I’ve been having really horrible spells of feeling really dizzy/on the verge of collapsing. I’ve actually had to lie down because of it. It’s so draining and I don’t know whether to be worried or not, just trying not to freak out haha. Anyone been feeling the same? I’m 16 weeks today

Welliedays · 13/11/2020 15:15

@Queenbee95 I wonder if your blood pressure is low? Or possibly low blood sugar. I'd call u our midwife as it will be caused by something which probably needs checking out

Welliedays · 13/11/2020 18:11

Just double checking it's the midwives who contact you to arrange appointments and not the other way round?! I've not heard from mine about my 16 week appointment, I'm now 17 weeks... Thought she might have at least been in touch to book it in by now...unless I'm meant to contact her!!

Buffbeag · 13/11/2020 18:44

@Welliedays in FV they said if I hadn't had a call within 2 weeks of my 12 week scan I was to call my midwife team.

Welliedays · 13/11/2020 18:48

@buffbeag thank you! My 12 week scan was 20 October but I had a rescan earlier this week so they could get the measurements as it wasn't behaving on the first scan. I'll maybe call on monday as the scan did put me forward a week (but I updated her with that estimation after the first scan), but I did message to let her know

PinkRoses20 · 13/11/2020 19:29

@Welliedays i was the same with the rescan so they put 16 week app back a bit because i had just been in (and it was just a phonecall). Possibly do the same with you x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 13/11/2020 19:46

@Welliedays so far I've had the 16 week appt through the post and will get my 20 week scan appt time at my next scan appt (next thursday). My understanding was midwifes arrange the next appt with you at each appt

The exhaustion of my 1st trimester was awful, but luckily I've got my mum and boyfriends parents available. I'm over the worst and back at work on Monday. I cut my daytime nap out in preparation, but feel even more tired, think I'll have to put it back in!

Fruitloops34 · 14/11/2020 08:12

Well I’m 16 weeks on Tuesday and at my 12 week they said the midwife would call me at 16 weeks(should be face to face but is over the phone) hope they don’t forget. So far I’ve felt so out the loop for a FTM. Honestly assumed I’d have way more contact with my midwife by this stage.

Queenbee95 · 14/11/2020 17:47

We are having a little girl 💕
After two boys (dh has another boy too) I’m totally shocked

rosegoldivy · 14/11/2020 19:04

Hello everyone, I've been hiding under the blanket of nausea and being sick :( have felt a bit better last few days and feel like have some energy back but I just can't stop being sick in the evenings!

Anyway the good news, had our 12 week scan on Wednesday and we have 2 healthy babies due 31st may.. But babies will be here anytime after the 10th May if I can carry them to 37 weeks without any complications. Both babies have own sacs and own placentas so thankfully they are type of twins that carry the least amount of risk.
Forth Valley have referred me to their twin clinic programme and I am back on Monday for my first consult and another scan.

Also got my 20 week scan that's on 12th Jan.... Why does that feel like it's only next week 😂😂

Hope everyone is well, I will need to go back and read the thread as I am wayyy behind!!

Sexnotgender · 14/11/2020 19:05

Hello. Due 2nd July 2020 in the Lothians.

Sexnotgender · 15/11/2020 20:38

@Queenbee95

We are having a little girl 💕 After two boys (dh has another boy too) I’m totally shocked
Congratulations!!

We’re 99% sure we’re having a girl too. Had a private scan a couple weeks ago and baby wasn’t being super compliant but sonographer said she was fairly sure.

My anomaly scan is next Monday so I’ll ask them to check for me if they’re able to.

Queenbee95 · 15/11/2020 21:46

Aww how lovely @Sexnotgender. DH is over the moon, I was just so glad to see our little baba wriggling around in there! We have our 20 week scan on 10th December but it’s really obvious we are having a girl so I don’t expect any shocks lol

Queenbee95 · 15/11/2020 21:47

Hi @Aprilsun20, I’m lothians too!

MrsKMum · 16/11/2020 08:39

Hi everyone, new user here Smile

I'm expecting my first, due end of April 2021 and am NHS Lothian, Edinburgh to be precise.

I don't know anyone near me that is expecting or have kids and I'm quite scared, my anxiety is through the roof Blush

fife28 · 16/11/2020 09:27

Only just popping back across from the other thread, been trying to stay off forums and google since I've been a nervous wreck this time and over-analyzing everything. Scan on Fri so keeping everything crossed all is well and hoping that brings some peace of mind
