I have a gender scan on the 3rd December.

@Welliedays when I phoned to change it they said there was no appointments available at the other hospital. Probably a result of the pubs opening in July Grin

@GrandTheftWalrus when I called about mine today they said December was really busy. I wonder with Christmas whether that makes it more difficult. When I hs dmy scan yesterday (I needed an extra one for them to measure baby) they saod they weren't really noticing an increase or decrease in the amount of scans they are doing

Good effort @thedaydreambelievers, that's quite a list!!

fattymumbum · 11/11/2020 21:26

@thedaydreambelievers my EDD is actually mid May and I'm Ayrshire and Arran health board. I don't think I put any of this on when I joined though!

I haven't had my date for my 20 week scan yet, but expecting it to be before Christmas. I hope it's before Christmas because I was looking forward to a relaxed Christmas know everything was healthy with bubs.

No gender scans for us, me and my boyfriend not even spoke about it, it's just a given we won't find out! Haha 🤣 x
Has anyone got a gender scan soon, just curious? X

GrandTheftWalrus · 11/11/2020 21:42

@TheDaydreamBelievers I'm nhs lanarkshire Smile

swiftt · 11/11/2020 21:45

@TheDaydreamBelievers ooh you are so organised! I’m NHS Tayside, and EDD mid June.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 11/11/2020 21:46

Sorry @GrandTheftWalrus - not sure how I got you wrong!

Thanks @fattymumbum! No sex scan for us either - planning on finding out when the wee one is handed to us!

fattymumbum · 11/11/2020 22:06

@thedaydreambelievers I know, I feel there's so much pink or blue I just want them to be baby for as long as possible!

GrandTheftWalrus · 11/11/2020 22:13

We are finding out so.we know if all the baby clothes we kept from dd will get used again lol

Mrsmch123 · 11/11/2020 22:18

@TheDaydreamBelievers 2nd of July for me 😁

Buffbeag · 12/11/2020 00:21

I have my 20 week on the 22/12 so just squeezed in before Xmas!

We are not finding out but NHS FV won't tell you anyway so quite happy for a wee surprise anyway 😊

fattymumbum · 12/11/2020 05:03

@grandtheftwalrus I know that's the good thing about finding out! I'll have to separate mine into a neutral pile and a really girly pile, and see what happens!!

I'm excited for you finding out!!

Gaxy1 · 12/11/2020 08:05

I definitely want to find out!
Woke this morning at 3am making a list of what I need to do in the house. Must be nesting already 😂

GrandTheftWalrus · 12/11/2020 08:52

We didn't find out with dd so finding out this time then we've done both.

sunnysideup3 · 12/11/2020 09:02

We're not finding out, I love a surprise! 😄 But we both have bets going, I think it's a boy and husband thinks it's a girl haha.

Fruitloops34 · 12/11/2020 09:13

I’ve got a gender scan on 24th November, had been previously to ABC4D but going to try Window to the Womb this time in Hamilton. Anyone been before?

I’ll be 20 weeks on 15th December so I’m hopeful my scan will be then not left until after Christmas.

singleandttc · 12/11/2020 09:33

@TheDaydreamBelievers sorry, I'm forth valley.

I've got my sex scan booked for 19th December. I need to know. I was a crazy hormonal woman with my first, crying in the shop because there was a sale on and I didn't know what to buy...

barbiemummy20 · 12/11/2020 12:43

@Fruitloops34 I went to window to womb for my early scan they were amazing so attentive we have booked again for our gender scan 💕 we used abc4d for 1st dd and initial scan for this one but had a bad experience so pleased we found window to womb 💕

sunnysideup3 · 12/11/2020 13:28

Anyone in Glasgow area have done a private NIPT scan before and have somewhere to recommend? A bit overwhelmed with choice. Just saw a few people mention bad experiences with abc4d so that narrows it down a little at least😊

Queenbee95 · 12/11/2020 13:33

I have a private gender scan on Saturday! Everyone’s hoping for a girl (I have two boys already) but I really don’t care either way, a healthy baby will do me just fine.

Have my Nhs scan on 10th December, I’ll be 19+6 then

Fruitloops34 · 12/11/2020 13:57

@barbiemummy20 That’s good to know. I didn’t particularly have a bad experience with ABC4D but I just felt I was rushed in and out in 10 minutes and when I had the internal scan she shoved the camera thing right up my foof, wasn’t very gentle.

Looking forward to trying WTTW

ladymary86 · 12/11/2020 15:24

@sunnysideup3 we went to a place in Clydebank called baby scan studio. Not sure if they do NIPT though.

hellymum21 · 12/11/2020 15:27

Hi everyone 👋 joining the thread to keep up with you all! I'm NHS Fife. 23 weeks today 🥰we are having a baby girl and this is our first! I can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying in! Have midwife tomorrow for MATB1 form and only 5 weeks to work from office then I'll be working at home til mat leave ☺️

TheDaydreamBelievers · 12/11/2020 16:18

@sunnysideup3 do they not offer the NIPT in NHS GGC? (Although do I recall correctly that your midwife was awful about offering prenatal screening?)

Hi!

Haven't posted in a while - am struggling with the exhaustion of the first trimester. Hope everyone is doing well! Congrats to all those who have found what they're having - so exciting!

We found out with both of our kids but I'd quite like this one to be a surprise! Don't know if I'll be able to hold out though.
