@MrsM21 I've had sickness/nauseous too my midwife told me to get a sea band and if that doesn't help I can have acupuncture on my wrist which I definitely don't want. I've ordered 2 I'll update you on if it helps if you want? That's if you haven't already tried it yourself

LadySphynx · 23/10/2020 16:57

Congratulations all! My due date is 13th June, and I wasn’t really expecting symptoms so early. It still doesn’t feel real, but my body keeps reminding me with constant tiredness, weird nausea and heavy boobs. Is anyone else struggling to function?

Struggling and laying in bed as I write this, home office is now a saviour in my state.

I work from my bed!

bestsquirrelinthewholehole · 23/10/2020 17:43

@geeHO98 I tried seabands with my second, they did absolutely nothing.

@bestsquirrelinthewholehole hope they do for me🙈my friend sweared by them but I admit they don't look promising

bestsquirrelinthewholehole · 23/10/2020 18:16

Maybe it depends how sick you are, I was so unwell with my second it made absolutely no difference at all. I am kind of unwilling to try them now, and also I wouldn't be able to wear them at work because of infection control. Hope you get a positive outcome, let me know.

Found out 2 days ago that I’m pregnant. 4 weeks and 3 days according to my last period. Had mc in the summer so very nervous Sad but trying to stay positive Smile

DLHJune24 · 23/10/2020 18:25

Hi Ladies, just thought I’d jump on an say Hi!
Found out last Friday I’m expecting my first baby, first pregnancy too so I feel completely clueless! Not sure if my constant googling is helping or making me more paranoid about miscarrying. Good to know others feel the same and I’m not completely crazy!
Anyways, due date 24th June and 5w + 1d today (LMP 21/09 and 24 day cycle). So far no major symptoms, random mild nausea and sore boobs on and off, waiting for it to hit me...

PinkPlantCase · 23/10/2020 18:30

@Northernlass101 I’m in the same boat, lay in bed. Just had a nap because atleast I don’t feel sick when I’m asleep!

Might order some sea bands too

Ivybutterfly · 23/10/2020 19:38

So happy I finally found this. 7 weeks today. I have awful nausea and food aversions. I hope everyone is well. Xx

ECoby · 23/10/2020 19:39

Evening all. Im now 6+6 thank goodness the cramps have now subsided, and alot of relief came from my EPU scan on Monday. I have been on leave this week. But now worried about about returninh. Im so bloated, tired and the nausea is awful. I work in a hospital so I'm on my feet all day with all sorts of glorious smells. I also already dont fit in my uniform from the bloating. Any ideas?! Or anyone in the same boat?

Hayz2020 · 23/10/2020 19:41

I’m in the same boat, unbearably nauseas and sick all day everyday unless I’m asleep. There is not one bit of food on this planet I ever fancy eating :(
It’s really rough on the MH aspect, I feel completely rubbish!
To the ladies with more that 1 DC already, please tell me it gets better? 😰

Hey what sort of cramps have you had? Please give me hope it will subside a little haha. Yes none of my jeans fit me anymore the bloat is real 😳
ECoby · 23/10/2020 20:28

@Northernlass101 like lower abdominal pains, much worse than period pain that came in waves 4-5x per day lasting about 20mins. I was worried about an ectopic and had a few fainting spells so my GP sent me to get checked. The midwife at EPU was lovely really put me at ease. Stated its all common and my ligaments stretching. Fainting was low Blood glucose likely secondary to the vomittinh. I Got to see its little heart beat and chilled me out. The only things that helped was walking up stairs and hot water bottles 24/7. Much better since 6+5

AlRRRR · 23/10/2020 21:17

Hi. I’m 5 weeks today. Anyone suffering with anything like a UTI? Mine started on oct 5th and is still lingering around. Dr send my urine off to the labs on Wed so awaiting the result. Also got a cold that has been starting since last Monday 🤣🤣🤣 . Anyone else have these weird issues ? 🙏🏻🙏🏻💕

AlRRRR · 23/10/2020 21:20

@Hayz2020 I have 1 child, aged 3.5. With her I had sickness that started at around 6 weeks, I went off banana’s. Took my 1.5 years post birth to be able to eat them 😂😂😂😂😂🤷🏻‍♂️. The sickness in pregnancy lasted week 5-14 ish

PinkPlantCase · 23/10/2020 22:13

I have a new found appreciation for people who are pregnant and have young DCs!

Once you’ve been through it before does that make the length of time easier to comprehend do you think? Because right now the idea of 8 more weeks of feeling sick sounds pretty horrendous.

I haven’t had a UTI so far but did have thrush the other week for the first time in about 5 years 🙄

PumpkinEverything · 23/10/2020 22:50

@DLHJune24 I’m a day ahead of you 😊 I’m 5+2 today. First pregnancy for me too and I feel your anxiety, it’s so hard not googling everything! So far no nausea for me, hoping it stays that way!

@ECoby out of curiosity, where are you keeping your hot water bottle? I’ve always been a fiend for having one at this time of year as I always feel the cold. I’ve been so paranoid about using them since I found out as I normally hold it on my back, stomach or legs 😬 I couldn’t really find an answer on whether they were okay to use when I searched online

LoveCoffeeAndCake · 23/10/2020 22:53

Hi all! Thought it would be nice to join this group! I'm currently 7+5 with second baby and struggling with the constant nausea and aversions. My poor toddler is not getting the best version of me at the moment! Can't remember the first trimester being so rough last time 😥

I've had the exact pains excruciating went to epu and the sac was in right place!!! Life saver using a hot water bottle now on my thigh helps a lot was previously scared about using but my doctor said its fine and to avoid placing directly on ovaries lower back is fine ❤️❤️❤️

AlRRRR · 24/10/2020 06:08

@PinkPlantCase I suppose I’m not giving too much thought to it yet, very busy with little girl! Also, I don’t have any sickness yet, I’m 5 weeks and so far, just my boobs feel heavy and ache a little when I first get out of bed :)

Justbee84 · 24/10/2020 07:04

Aw @Minglejingle83 only just seen your message!
This is lovely news, Congratulations! I feel exactly the same....I'm on knicker watch with every toilet trip (sorry!). I think that because we were basically told it would never happen naturally, due to a specific issue with my husbands sperm, the utter shock that it has will never go away! We are so incredibly fortunate to be here.
How have you been feeling?
Hope all you ladies are doing well 😊

DollyParton2 · 24/10/2020 09:57

AlRRRR I had my booking in yesterday and she looked at my sample and already thought it looked like possible UTI as white blood cells- I was actually relieved as I need the loo constantly! She says pregnancy symptoms so often mask a UTI. When we were TTC I didn't go for a wee straight after DTD as would lie there/do the upside down bicycle thing, so pretty sure that caused it. Almost felt immediately afterwards a sting down there. Hoping it is, we can both get antibiotics and finally get rid of this!!

AlRRRR · 24/10/2020 10:26

@DollyParton2 ah yes that’s what happened to me already hahahaha So have you left it a few weeks too? I only rang dr on Wed and my sample has been sent off for analysis! haha I’m 5 weeks plus 2 days today and I had this from Oct 5th

MrsM21 · 24/10/2020 10:59

@bestsquirrelinthewholehole it really is overwhelming! You did better than me yesterday, I was either in bed or on the sofa feeling sorry for myself 😂
I’m just hoping for some better days to get me through this trimester!
