Checking in ✔

Hi all, hope you don't mind I join! My LMP was 04/09, so that would make me 6+6 but my ovulation was 2 week later than my normal cycle, so I reckon I am only 4+6 with EDD 24th June. First pregnancy!

I sent my self referral form to my hospital and now booked in to see them on 24th Nov ☺️ 🤞hope nothing happens during these weeks of waiting. I'm a poas addict and still checking line progression for peace of mind as I haven't got a dye stealer yet on the easy@home tests...

ChasingARainbow · 21/10/2020 17:35

I've seen a few of you are booked in for NIPT tests, is this something you've arranged privately or are you referred via the NHS, I'd never heard of them until today so had a quick google but could only see about them being private.

Bbdm1984 · 21/10/2020 18:00

I still havent self reffered to the midwife yet, im scared if i do something bad will happen but then i keep thinking well how long am i going to put it off im going to have to do it at some point, i think i will wait till the end of next week when i will be 8 weeks.

Also can we please talk discharge i feel so so wet down there to the point ive just got back from walking the dog and thought this is it im deffo going to go to the toilet and have lost my little pip (probably over thinking as i had pulling pains when i was throwing the ball) all was well though but definitely very damp down there, anyone else?

Catladyy · 21/10/2020 18:17
@Minglejingle83 that's better than me, I self referred, had an email back saying a midwife will be in touch before 11 weeks!! I'm 6+1!! Shock
Thank you for the new thread @bestsquirrelinthewholehole - also, interested to know how long before you heard back from the self-referral? I sent mine off last Friday but it might as well have gone into a black hole... Would be soo nice to get some confimation other than the PT!

northerngal20 · 21/10/2020 18:20

hi! i'm 5+1 today and feeling really nervous atm after a mmc last time - i've had quite a bit of brown spotting which i also had last time (although i think unrelated to the loss), so just trying to stay calm and positive and monitor it until i get a bit further along, and remember this is a new pregnancy. but as well as being really nervous i'm also really cautiously excited! is anyone else finding it really hard to concentrate on work?? i'm getting nothing done!

lucieloos · 21/10/2020 18:25

Checking in....is anyone having a nipt test done? I can't decide between harmony or panorama?

Dragonfly92 · 21/10/2020 19:12

Checking in too. Thanks for the new thread.

I'm 5 + 5 and due 18 June 😊

I did my self referral last Tuesday, got some documents through the post on the Friday and a text from my midwife on the Sunday to arrange my booking appointment. Appointment is 9 November and will be done at my home. In the South East and covid cases aren't too bad here touch wood.

Hope you're all well.

bestsquirrelinthewholehole · 21/10/2020 19:21

@catladyy the email came back almost straight away, but you know its one of those generic answer emails. And nothing since. No paperwork through the post like others seem to have received or anything. Just wait and see, if I hear nothing by 9/10 weeks I think I'll phone and check in.

Me too! I keep taking trips to the loo when at work to check.

I’m 4+3 so still very early. Have booked a private scan for 7 weeks just to make sure everything is going well.

Rosieposie07 · 21/10/2020 21:38

Hi guys!!
So I am due the 18th of June! This will be my second, I have a son at 13! Totally forgotten everything lol.
I have spoken to the gp and they have referred me to the hospital, nothing about midwife? Do I need to see them before my hospital appointment???
I will be seen in the hospital at 12 weeks (seems so far away) we have book a private early scan for Sunday week!
Also any fellow nurses in here? How do u feel with potential contact/exposure with covid cases?! 😕
Love and good luck to all
JUNE 2021 ❤️

Mrsbear1122 · 21/10/2020 22:19

@Bbdm1984 about discharge, I get random discharges, like a 3days ago I think it was ewcm, then today was watery. I don't really know what is happening down there 😂

Bbdm1984 · 21/10/2020 22:28

@Mrsbear1122 thank you, i looked it up (see pic) so it has eased my worries a little

Sitchervice · 21/10/2020 22:32

Hi second thread!

Scarftown · 21/10/2020 22:59

@ChasingARainbow yeah I was wondering about NIPT as well. It’s on my google list but I don’t know much about it. Tempted tho as I’m over 35. Im not sure how having private things work with letting nhs know etc.

mssgrees · 21/10/2020 23:04

Hi everyone! I’m expecting my first baby on 24 May. Only mild nausea so far (the midwife says I’m lucky but it makes me nervous) and I’m painfully waiting for my 12-week scan. Very tempted to get a private one for peace of mind but Wales is going into lockdown this week (so not sure it’s allowed) AND I have to go on jury service next week. Trying to stay positive but the first trimester is such a strange and emotional time!

Lollipop87 · 21/10/2020 23:16

Hi ladies, hope you don’t mind me posting a quick message on here! I just got my BFP yesterday (1st baby) and am due 4th July so have just created a new thread but I don’t think anyone else for July has got their BFP yet, I did get mine crazy early at 9DPO but confirmed with a digital! I’m 3+3.

I’ve just been reading your messages about all the different areas having different ways of arranging first appointments, should I ring my GP in the first instance? TIA 😊

Dinosaurdrip · 22/10/2020 03:56

Hi, thanks for sorting new thread!
I called my dr on Tuesday, was given a booking appt for next Wednesday. Midwife called yesterday and said she’d do it over the phone today I’m 6+1.

Also interested in joining the fb group.

Justbee84 · 22/10/2020 05:38

Hi ladies....please may I join?
I'm 7+5, due date 5th June 😊
First ever pregnancy after 4 and half years struggling with infertility and several failed IVF cycles. This is a miracle pregnancy without any treatment so still in utter shock!
Midwife booking appointment this Sunday 25th!
Best wishes to all!

SarahTTC2020 · 22/10/2020 06:26

Thanks for setting up a new thread!
I'm due 8th June and have my booking appt on 6/11 where I'll be 9+3, then paperwork gets sent off and I wait for scan date.
Still undecided about early scan as I know it doesn't guarantee not miscarrying still so might just wait til 12 week one.
7+2 and not really any symptoms, just hard nipples all the time and feeling dizzy when I go for my daily walk, hungry all the time

MrsBtobe2020 · 22/10/2020 08:04

Thanks for the new thread, it's nice to read everyone's comments and see how you're all getting on 👍 had bloods on Saturday and had a face to face booking in appointment yesterday with midwife (South East England) and I've got my scan booked for next month. I was impressed with how quickly all the letters came to me! Im apparently 9 weeks but I know I'm not due to stupid 42 day cycles!

bestsquirrelinthewholehole · 22/10/2020 08:09

My nausea is picking up, woke up this am dizzy and nauseated. Going to take the dogs out and hopefully feel better for the fresh air.

I've not long found out I'm pregnant too, I'm 6 weeks and have already had a phonecall from the community midwife, self referred myself into desired hosp & been booked in for my booking appointment (next week, so quite early on according to what I've read online). This is my 1st pregnancy, feelin a bit surreal!

MumToBeMaz · 22/10/2020 08:38

Hey Everyone,

I'm 6+6 today. Feeling okay. No major symptoms. I have tender boobs and feeling quite tired throughout the day and mild nausea comes and goes. I have wiped a couple of times in the last few weeks and had some pale pink CM but after a lot of reading up about it, it seems to be common and not necessarily something I should be worrying about.

I have my appointment with my midwife on the 5th Nov and we booked an early private scan for 31st Oct when I'll be 8 weeks based on LMP.

MumToBeMaz · 22/10/2020 08:38

(I'm NHS Lanarkshire btw)
