@PurpleishDahlia no one has discouraged me. I know that there is a 3-5% chance of there not being enough feral DNA so I’ve been clear that I want both.

Dragonfly92 · 24/11/2020 18:01

Congratulations @pookypup. Lovely scan photo.

I'm loving starting to see everyone's scans 😊

northerngal20 · 24/11/2020 18:22

eek congrats @pookypup! what a photo!! so exciting :)

pookypup · 24/11/2020 19:09

I love seeing everyones scans too - keep posting them ladies!

ChasingARainbow · 24/11/2020 19:53

@pookypup lovely clear picture. I 11weeks and 1 day today and still haven't had a scan letter yet so called the midwife and it turns out there was a problem with the referral so hadn't got through to the hospital. Midwife later called up and they've booked me in for 2nd December so really pleased it's not too far away and I'll still only be 12 weeks and 2 days.
I had the NIPT bloods taken on Friday so hopefully will get the results soon, think they said within 7 days, we've decided to find out the gender which is something I didn't think I'd want to know and prefer a surprise but actually I'm looking forward to finding out.
Luckily because of lockdown it's been easier to keep quiet so only 2 of my friends and my mum know so hoping to tell the wider family at Christmas is all goes well.
Has anyone got their medical exemption through yet? The midwife hasn't mentioned it but was wondering because I've got a prescription for some heartburn medication at the surgery to collect and should be able to collect it for free now? X

BurningBenches · 24/11/2020 20:31

@ChasingARainbow my MW emailed me mine after my booking in appointment

Dragonfly92 · 24/11/2020 20:41

@ChasingARainbow My midwife emailed me mine during my booking appointment.

Hibbs126 · 24/11/2020 20:45

I've been lurking for a while but didnt want to post until I'd had my first scan and it felt a bit more real. Had my 12 week scan today and due 5th June Smile

ChasingARainbow · 24/11/2020 20:55

@BurningBenches @Dragonfly92 thanks for letting me know, I'll give them a call tomorrow and chase mine up x

Bleubird · 24/11/2020 21:45

Lovely to see your scan @pookypup - Really clear!

Congratulations @Hibbs126 hope your scan went well x

SarahTTC2020 · 25/11/2020 08:57

@ChasingARainbow I got mine through the post yesterday and it's been almost 3 weeks since my phone booking appt when she requested it....
Wish I'd had the option of email 😆

ChasingARainbow · 25/11/2020 09:42

@SarahTTC2020 ah thanks, I'll give it a bit longer then, I've just seen that you can claim any prescription costs back retrospectively x

TeaBanditTeej · 25/11/2020 09:53

@Buttons28

Hi can I join please? I think I'm 6+1 due 27th June but am waiting for my scan to confirm. Mild symptoms so far. Feeling sick and tired. This is baby no. 2 so hoping the symptoms don't get much worse.

Hope everyone is doing ok

Was there mention of a Facebook group?

I'm due 27th June too!! I have my dating scan on 22nd December I can't wait!!! ☺️ how are you feeling? Xxxx

I’ve got my 12 week scan tomorrow (although private scan 4 weeks ago showed I’m 13 days behind). Sooo nervous 😬 been waiting for this for so long but now I’m just scared!

Ivybutterfly · 25/11/2020 12:06

That is a beautiful scan @pookypup Congratulations!

Fizzy drinks are also the only thing that makes me feel better. That and haribo. I read something that caffeine increases risks of loss so now I have given up cola. I miss it so much. GP and midwife recommended it for morning sickness but already had two losses before this and paranoid and scared. I can barely drink water some days.

Omg good luck! Keep us posted my 12 week scan should be 4th December but the earliest they can fit me in the 12th!! Sad times ❤️❤️
Bs93 · 25/11/2020 14:59

@Northernlass101 thank you 💖💖 ah that’s so annoying, the wait is awful isn’t it!
Whereabouts are you from? I keep asking Northern people this haha!

PinkPlantCase · 25/11/2020 15:04

I had my 12 week scan today 😁😁 so glad I bought it forwards as I was 12 weeks 1 day. My LMP put me at 11 weeks.

Baby all okay, we could see the heart beating and I didn’t have to pay for the scan pictures!

Ps. They took 5 vials of blood 😑

pookypup · 25/11/2020 15:47

@PinkPlantCase that’s brilliant news. Lovely to hear more people starting to have the scans.

That’s a lot of blood! Is that normal or had you not had any done with the midwife yet?

LobsterRavioli · 25/11/2020 16:01

Just got back from my 12 weeks scan, they only took one vial of blood - even though I asked for the full screening, is that right? X

@LobsterRavioli gorgeous pic 🥰

LobsterRavioli · 25/11/2020 16:17

Thank you @pookypup 🥰🥰🥰

Tatty1987 · 25/11/2020 16:24

@LobsterRavioli @PinkPlantCase glad to hear your scans went well.

Just had my scan letter through for the 16th Dec, so glad it’s before Christmas. I’m currently 9+3.

PinkPlantCase · 25/11/2020 16:43

@pookypup @LobsterRavioli my midwife appointment was over the phone so this was the first lot of bloods I’ve had with them.

I think one for the nuchal screening, then one checked anti bodies then there was HIV and Syphilis (sp) 😂 and I assume something else.
