@GeeHO98 yes definitely let me know! I’m willing to try anything, I’m hoping if I can find something to take the edge off I’ll be able to eat a bit more and then that will help too. At the minute there’s barely anything I can stomach so I feel like I’m hardly eating which doesn’t help x

Slept on the sofa again last night, pillows piled high, woke up feeling that dreaded heavy nausea, but it soon shifted and I'm feeling much brighter today. One day closer to feeling normal, that is what I am holding onto.

@bestsquirrelinthewholehole exactly, it’s not forever and we can get through it!

@bestsquirrelinthewholehole- love your name haha. How many weeks are you? When did your sickness start?

Report
bestsquirrelinthewholehole · 24/10/2020 19:51

@AIRRR my nausea started middle of the week, just after the 6 week mark, I am 6+4 now. Haven't actually been sick, not sure if that's worse, but I have pulled all my muscles dry heaving.

Help, I just ate a steak that was still a bit pink, have I messed things up? 😞

Report
thefishthatcouldwish · 24/10/2020 20:14

@scrambledeggy you can eat steak that is a bit pink so long as it’s sourced from a good place.

Report
scrambledeggy · 24/10/2020 20:37

Thanks for the reassurance @thefishthatcouldwish, it was a fancy steak so I bloody hope so 😆

Ive been feeling very nauseous since afternoon. Ended up 🤮 aswell .

Report
PinkPlantCase · 24/10/2020 22:00

@thefishthatcouldwish I’d read that steak that’s a bit pink in the middle is fine because the germs live on the surface so they’re killed anyway.

The ones to watch are if you have a burger that’s pink in the middle or lamb, apparently something can live in lamb that makes it more dangerous if undercooked.

Thanks @PinkPlantCase, the NHS info is very scary and black and white. I'll probably ask when I go to get my blood tests done for bonus reassurance.

@Iloveoreos sorry you're feeling so rubbish 😔 My sickness is all day some days, doesn't seem fair when all you've done is get pregnant! 😂

@bestsquirrelinthewholehole it will pass! Just takes few weeks 💕🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💕

Anyone else noticed that their resting heart rate has increased? I had some flutters last night and my RHR is around 89/90 BPM now! Crazy x

Report
bez91 · 25/10/2020 07:21

@AlRRRR yes mine has too, I'm usually around 65 BMP for my RHR, this last 2 weeks I'm more up at 75. Just shown it to DH to justify how knackered I got painting a wall yesterday😆

Report
AlRRRR · 25/10/2020 07:25

@bez91 oh thank goodness i’m not alone! My heart was thudding in my chest last night, awful! My mum has SVT and it started in her 30’s so I worried I had developed that!

I’m only 5+3 weeks but VERRRY strong positive test. How far are you?

Report
bez91 · 25/10/2020 07:38

@AlRRRR I know increased RHR is completely normal in pregnancy but may be worth getting it checked out if it could be hereditary. My DD (3) was born with congenital heart disease but nothing to suggest it's hereditary.

I'm 6+2 😊

Hi, I self referred at 8 weeks was told a midwife would contact me within 3 weeks depending on gestation , I’m still waiting and nearly 10 weeks now and worrying myself half to death and keeping clear blue in business

Report
AlRRRR · 25/10/2020 07:47

@bez91 Yes, I suppose I will at some point. I can remember in my first pregnancy, I had flutters but cannot remember the thudding! I also can’t remember at what stage the midwife ordered an ECG. I’d never asked the question if RHR is a thing this early ! Thanks for answering x

swiftt · 25/10/2020 07:48

Is anyone else experiencing nausea through the night? I’ve barely slept because I kept waking up feeling so sick, more so when I lay on my side or stomach.

Report
AlRRRR · 25/10/2020 07:48

@Rodri83 - Maybe call again and just double check they have you in the system,

What’s worrying you so much darling? xxx

So nauseous! 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant with my first baby!

Report
Rodri83 · 25/10/2020 08:13

@AIRRRR I haven’t really had any symptoms other than slightly tender boobs , missed periods and several positive tests. I know I should embrace this but you can’t help but worry it’s because something is wrong,

@LadySphynx I think I'm a few days behind you but I feel brain dead 😂 the smallest tasks are so difficult. Also nausea all day long now. Got a private scan on 7th November when I should be 8 weeks 😁

Report
AlRRRR · 25/10/2020 08:28

@Rodri83, Symptoms can really vary and you are lucky enough to escape sickness, haha! I had sickness in 1st and 2nd nothing. A friend had no symptoms except missed periods all way through! x

Report
pookypup · 25/10/2020 09:23

Morning all, I keep finding things to worry about - despite having a reassurance scan at 6+5 which looked fine.

Does anyone else find the the nausea/morning sickness is worse some days than others? I’ve felt less sick and had much more appetite since yesterday, but am now worrying that loss of symptoms is a bad sign. Boobs are still very sore, keep prodding them to check! Blush
