@northernlass101 I'm weeing in the night which is so annoying but nothing else.

I'm so bloated today. Like I look 6m and my coat was a snug fit! I've not gained weight though. I know it's not baby as it's high up. I am overweight but Confused

SarahTTC2020 · 19/11/2020 14:29

@BurningBenches I've had a lot of bloating and wind too, especially in the evening. I'm overweight too although 1lb lighter than pre pregnancy

Hi ladies. Hope you are all ok. For those booked to have nhs scans during this second lockdown it might be a good idea to keep checking the rules with regards to partners. Mine stated no partners and the situation would be reviewed at the end of lockdown but out of the blue yesterday they changed policy to now say partners CAN attend. I'm booked in on Monday and had my lovely friend not spotted the hospitals facebook post, I would have completely missed it!!

fashu · 19/11/2020 19:50

Hi All, can I join? I'm expecting baby no.2 on 5th June! Got my dating scan on Monday! I have had a scan on 20th October at 7w3d because I have a strange cycle and I should actually be due mid May according to my dates!

PinkPlantCase · 19/11/2020 20:34

I don’t really know where to find out info relating to partners and the scan. It didn’t mention partners at all on my scan letter. The main hospital website says no partners but the scan is at a local centre and they haven’t put any info out.

I am keeping an eye on Facebook. There’s a local maternity voices page that is giving updates on various local scanning places. Might be worth a try
Garman · 19/11/2020 21:38

@PinkPlantCase just call them and ask?

Sitchervice · 20/11/2020 10:48

Booked my self a scan for Monday so my husband can see the baby. Worried everythings not good but then. I guess that's normal?

fluffybunny86 · 20/11/2020 13:57

Hi all, sorry have been a long time lurker on this thread and the previous one since getting our bfp on the 19th September. Due date was 1st June 2021 based on lmp. This is mainly as I have tried to remain detached from this pregnancy after 4 MC (no children) with one at 13 weeks earlier this year. With this pregnancy after our dating scan we were told everything looked fine but they couldn't do the combined screening. Therefore we saw a private consultant and were devastated when the NT measured 13mm (with lots of other abnormalities) and the combined risk of DS came back as 1/2 and T21/13 1/4. We found out the following day that the heart had stopped and karyotyping showed that the baby had turners syndrome.

We went for our dating scan on Wednesday and were ecstatic to see our baby. NT measured 1.9mm and with biochemistry showed and adjusted risk of DS of 1/6600 and T21/13 of 1/12000. Everything looked perfect and saw the baby wriggling around with lots of other anatomical details. Consultant was also 99% sure if it was a boy or girl. Anyone else what to guess? EDD has now been changed to 29th May but hoping I can still join here. Now starting to get so excited and wanted to share our news with others as found this thread so supportive.

Thank you to those who got to the end of this post, and wish you all the best with your pregnancy too

@fluffybunny86 ooh congratulations on your scan! Lovely picture

I'm going to guess boy, but I'll caveat that with I've never been able to tell with any of mine so not a very educated guess!

Happy2be · 20/11/2020 16:10

@fluffybunny86 i think my guess would be boy too. As above im not the best at the nub theory either 🙈

Scarftown · 20/11/2020 16:24

@fluffybunny86. Lovely scan picture. So glad things look good for you. I would guess not too but I have no idea how you actually tell.

northerngal20 · 20/11/2020 16:42

@fluffybunny86 ahh such a lovely update! congratulations!! I'm going to guess boy (a total guess..!) what do you think??

SarahTTC2020 · 20/11/2020 17:11

@fluffybunny86 ah so happy that you had a good scan! Your previous story was heartbreaking.
Congratulations xx

fashu · 20/11/2020 17:18

Looks like a boy to me! Congratulations x

MarshallCleo · 20/11/2020 17:43

Congratulations x @fluffybunny86

fluffybunny86 · 20/11/2020 17:48

Thank you all for the lovely messages. Feel my anxiety has reduced, albeit only slightly but its nice to be able to start getting excited. Want to tell family in person so think we will wait till Christmas and hope that we will get the chance to meet up over the holiday period.

Dragonfly92 · 20/11/2020 17:52

@fluffybunny86 That's great news! And a lovely scan photo. First thought was boy too.

Penny2020 · 20/11/2020 21:36

@fluffybunny86 such amazing news, so happy for you!! I had my dating scan last week and we have the same EDD (and we’re the same age guessing by your username!!). Similar to you I had a MC at 11 weeks earlier in the year so haven’t let myself get excited at all, banned all talk from my husband about baby names or prams or anything - now we’ve had the thumbs up from the scan and I feel a little overwhelmed. Suddenly it’s all so real, and so wonderful. So really feeling your excitement too - hoping the rest of your pregnancy is very happy and healthy!

Penny2020 · 20/11/2020 21:37

And I found myself reading up on the skull theory today which I’m sure is absolute rubbish yet couldn’t help myself - based on that I’m going for boy!

PurpleishDahlia · 20/11/2020 23:04

@lucieloos are you letting the nhs know you've had a NIPT before your 12 week scan? I've booked one too and the people at the private place said if you've done a NIPT then the other scan is redundant. However my consultant back in my home country believes these 2 tests are complementary and I shouldn't skip the NT scan. Is anyone else doing both?

PurpleishDahlia · 20/11/2020 23:12

@fluffybunny86 congratulations, I bet you can't stop staring at the scan!

lucieloos · 20/11/2020 23:12

@PurpleishDahlia yes the midwife asked me at my booking appt if I planned on getting any other tests and I told her about nipt and she said in that case they don't recommend getting the combined test as the nipt is more accurate. I have done the same with my first 2 children and have never had the nhs tests.
