Wanted to create a follow up thread for those who are pregnant and are due in May 2021. Please feel free to ask questions and share stories

Hi everyone
I've been lurking between here and the June board, as have slightly irregular cycles and wasn't sure if it would be a late May or early June baby. Just got back from my dating scan, 12 weeks today, due 26th May. Will request to join the FB group.

Also, just thought I'd mention I bought some lovely, smartish elasticated waist trousers from H&M the other week. Absolute game changer!!

Hi everyone! Been lurking in here a few weeks but finally had my 12 week scan yesterday! Turns out I'm now 13 weeks so due 22/5. First baby and very excited but total novice so reading your advice thoroughly! They couldn't see baby properly with a normal belly scan so had an internal scan and the pics are so clear. However they couldn't do the downs/patau screening as baby was in a weird position so have to go for a blood test in a couple of weeks. Has anyone else received loads of consultant appts? Wondering what to expect? Full disclosure I had thyroid cancer a few years ago and also have colitis so seeing two diff consultants on the same day!

Hope everyone is keeping well and slowly getting over the nausea and first trimester slump. I think my nesting is starting to kick into gear. I'm emptied out every single kitchen cupboard today to give everything a clean out. husband thinks I've lost my mind! haha

Told DD (3) she is going to be a big sister and she's not exactly thrilled

Hello again. I had my scan today and there was a lovely heartbeat and clear image of baby wriggling away! I never realised what a wonderful experience it is to see and witness. I'm 12+3 so due 28th May! Was SO lovely to have my partner in with me to experience it. Very grateful they allowed it. I'd also like to join the FB group too please

Hi everyone and congratulations to all im a little late to this group as thought I was due in June had my doing scan today and got told may 16th . Surprised to say the least . I'm in the southeast and I got my flu jab today at the hospital after my scan no appointments necessary just a room off the main waiting room help yourself kinda thing. The lady did also say they were running Saturday vaccination clinics to catch up on anyone that may have missed out so it may be worth contacting your hospital to see if you can get it there.

@CAMRK I got my flu jab too today after my scan 😃 although I need to still go to my docs for one of those medical exemption thingys! I totally forgot to ask today

Scan last week so due date looking like the 23rd of May.
Other than tired would have no idea I’m pregnant really! Have a job with several risks so know things will be quite different for me from now on.
So many of us in this now!

Hello, I'm currently due on the 15th of May. My abdomen is feeling very tight and almost bloated but not quite. I've never been this far in pregnancy before so it's all very new. Is this normal? It's uncomfortable but not painful. Thank you. Wishing you all well.

Had a private sexing scan yesterday at 16 weeks and having a little girl! It all feels very real now

Hey, this thread seems to have gone quiet.
I’m 16 weeks now but have terrible pain on my left side and back almost like period cramps.
Anyone else experiencing the same?
This pregnancy seems to last a lifetime.

How is everyone? some must be on 20 week scans now? Mine is next week.

@choccychar how exciting! How are you getting on and finding the second trimester?

My 20 week scan will actually be when I am 21 weeks because it falls over Christmas and our NHS Trust is a bit backlogged.

We had a private scan last week to find out the sex and we are having a little girl! Is anyone else finding out or keeping it a surprise?

@Bananas52 congratulations on a lovely little girl on the way. Is this your first?
Will be our second and can't wait.
Really so undecided about finding out the sex - I do want to - but also wonder if I should wait. We found out with the first and just think maybe it would be nice to wait this time.....probably have to flip a coin at the time!
Second trimester is going ok thanks, better than the first!! Still off food a little but mostly fine. Struggling a little with the physical aspects of work but getting through it, had a full on physical day at work yesterday so trying to do sit down jobs today! How are you getting on?
