@MayBAE21 .. must be these May babies - not wanting to show their faces. Ours was the same yesterday!!

@Smile03 ... I was the exact same last week and totally got myself worked up! Almost booked a private scan etc. I had very little symptoms anyways but try to focus on that around 12 weeks it's natural for symptoms to drop! We had our scan yesterday and everything is ok. Perfectly normal!

MayBAE21 · 29/10/2020 01:54

@Smile03 Try not to worry. My symptoms dropped off around week 11. Only thing that hung around is my desire to eat everything in sight, my shocking gas, huge boobs (not as tender though) and now a very noticeable baby bump.

My dr said yesterday it's normal for the early symptoms to drop off as you head into the second trimester. He also said enjoy it while it lasts! Lol

Smile03 · 29/10/2020 08:57

Thank you everyone, literally as I was about to doze off the nausea came back with a vengeance!
I’ve had terrible heartburn all night but i’m actually relieved as it tells me i’m still pregnant - sounds so strange Confused

LittleTiger007 · 29/10/2020 10:59

@Smile03 it doesn’t sound strange at all, if felt exactly the same way as my symptoms have come and gone in recent days!

NRDoss · 29/10/2020 19:01

Had my 12 wk scan this evening. Baby is super active and kicking away happily, we got to see a tiny wave too. Sonographer couldn't get the right position to measure fluid asked me to jump a little and talk a long walk - after which baby ended up doing a headstand :D

Everything looks fine in the scan, waiting for blood test results to come back (it may take 10 days if it is low risk) baby measuring 12+4, which puts my EDD to 9th of May :)

Bea11 · 29/10/2020 22:15

@NRDoss lovely news. Glad all went well. So, have you bought the big pillow yet?!

MayBAE21 · 30/10/2020 01:47

@NRDoss Great news!! Fingers crossed all the bloods come back normal.

Now that I've had my scan, I finally have the courage to start shopping. But first I need to clean out my craft and hobbies room which will be turned into the nursery. It blows my mind how much crap I've accumulated and don't use. Facebook Market place here I come!

Waitingforbabypage · 30/10/2020 10:53

Feeling like actual poop today. I am exhausted.
Was just sat in tears last night because I had a rough day at work then got some bad family news. Had no energy to do anything other than just cry.

I'm due a course of b12 injections starting 9th nov, going to sign myself off sick until I've completed the course. Can't be doing with the stress.

BeeMakesTea · 30/10/2020 15:17

Hello ladies, can I join you? I had my dating scan on Tuesday and they’ve given me a due date of 6 May, so I’m 13+1 today Smile
I have a 2 year old already but had 2 losses earlier this year so didn’t want to join you until I’d had the scan. Finally feeling a bit more excited now that I know all is well!

RustyCat · 30/10/2020 15:29

Oh bless you @Waitingforbabypage I hope things get better for you and you feel better soon. It's horrid when you have a nasty day at work, I know where you are coming from!

Waitingforbabypage · 30/10/2020 18:54

@RustyCat

Oh bless you *@Waitingforbabypage* I hope things get better for you and you feel better soon. It's horrid when you have a nasty day at work, I know where you are coming from!
Thank you! I sort of thought being off for so long was an over reaction but I'm very low on energy thanks to lack of b12, being anaemic and low on vit c&d...oh and growing a human. I have 3 other kids to look after plus the general running of a house, work is a low priority for me and I figured just saying "I'm going to be off for a while" was better than missing a shift here and there and messing everyone around. Another fairly tearful day today, had a lovely migraine on top of everything else today. DH took the day off work to help me out though- bless him.

Hope everyone's doing ok.

Looking forward to my scan on weds, hoping it puts a lot of my anxiety to rest.

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 01/11/2020 22:24

Hi I've found you all, would love to join Smile
Trying to sleep past the nausea so just place marking for now and will have a proper read tomorrow. Am due 19th May x

Manth84 · 02/11/2020 09:30

Hi all! I have my 12 week scan on the 16th nov but I have my flu jab in the 13th. Do you think that's ok? The NHS site says you can have it at any point through your pregnancy but has anyone else ever had them so close?

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 02/11/2020 09:39

Hi I'm due 19th based on a scan at 8weeks from recurrent miscarriage clinic (3 v early losses this year) but still waiting for my dating scan.
I have hyperemesis and have been admitted twice so far, this weekend I was woken up at 4am to find the deep clean team scrubbing the bed next to me...her admission swab had come back positive and I'd been next to her for 24 hours Sad
Home now, not feeling too bad this morning, been told I don't need to isolate but am obviously worrying. Am on ondansetron and thiamine.
I've got a proper little bump now and huge boobs, struggling to hide it so lockdown might help for a bit longer because I'm not in work currently anyway (nurse) because of all the vomiting.

BeeMakesTea · 02/11/2020 10:00

@Manth84 I had my scan last Tuesday and flu jab the following day, no one mentioned to me any reason why it would be an issue having them close together. When I went for the flu jab the nurse asked why I was eligible so I said because I was pregnant and she didn’t ask about how far along I was or anything.
@SweetpeaOrMarigold that sounds so stressful, last thing you need on top of hyperemesis! Seems odd that you don’t need to isolate or get tested? Btw have you had your booking appt? I was told dating scan date during that.

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 02/11/2020 10:07

@BeeMakesTea yes it was a bit late because I was admitted in a different hospital when my original one was booked. Have just phoned and it's not til the 12th when I will be 13+2 which seems forever away!
They said because I was more than 2 metres from her, I'm not at risk. Feels very risky to me!!

Manth84 · 02/11/2020 10:13

@SweetpeaOrMarigold there's such conflicting advice out there isn't there. I read that if you're in a room with anyone who's positive for a prolonged period of time, then there is a chance of catching the air droplets. Hence why there is track and trace. So confusing! I hope you don't get any symptoms. Mine started 3 days after being With a positive client.
@BeeMakesTea thank you!

Newmom20 · 02/11/2020 11:13

Hey moms, i am due on the 30th May and so far so good! The fatigue was soooo bad but no morning sickness (yay).
I was feeling very anxious and nervous as i didn't know anyone who was pregnant especially during this time with Covid and all. My booking appointment put me to rest and my midwife is lovely, my first scan is in two weeks but I'm sooooo glad i did a private one with my husband so he got to experience it too.
Just seeing how the weeks go now, i feel so big already but i think I'm just bloated everyday!

NRDoss · 02/11/2020 17:08

Thanks @Bea11 - yes, the pillow arrived today :) finally I can have some sleep.

Thanks @MayBAE21 - I have started cleaning our 'office' to transform to a nursery. Funny to think I bought an office table during April, just to get rid of it in next April :D

@Waitingforbabypage - so sorry to hear that you are feeling unwell.. good luck with your scan on Wed :)

@Manth84 I had my scan on last Thursday and flu jab on Saturday.. I asked midwife and sonographer and they both told me that it is completely fine to have them closer.

@SweetpeaOrMarigold that sounds stressful and very confusing advice regarding isolating. Hope you don't get any symptoms and Take care.

I feel that I'm getting bigger now, started to show a tiny bump and none of my clothes are fitting anymore :D Do you guys have any recommendations where I could get some nice maternity wear?

ScottishStardust · 02/11/2020 19:33

@Manth84 I had my scan last Tuesday with my flu jab just before the scan! Felt fine since

Littlebee1990 · 02/11/2020 20:22

Hey ladies! 12 week scan all good hooray! Where can I join the Facebook group please? Xx

wishingwomen · 02/11/2020 23:18

Hi everyone just wondering when you got your letter through about your 12 week scan?? I'm 11 weeks today & still no letter had a midwife appointment on the 23rd so 9 days ago x

Bananas52 · 03/11/2020 09:16

@wishingwomen I was given my letter at the booking appointment. It was in my big folder. Maybe get in touch with your maternity unit they may have forgotten to put the letter in.

How is everyone doing? I’m exhausted at the moment, no matter how much sleep I get the night before, I just feel completely wiped out. It’s making work quite difficult.

Beepbeep42 · 03/11/2020 10:31

@wishingwomen I was almost 12 weeks before I got mine, my scan is tomorrow I'll be 13 weeks

@littlebee1990 yay!! Fantastic news!!

@NRDoss my bump is already pretty damn big an being hidden under tents of clothes 😂 I'm wearing my old maternity clothes from New Look. They were cheap and comfy and asides from the trousers needing a freshen with dye, they're all good. Can't speak for everyone but I was so sodding fed up with maternity wear by the end, so many stripy tshirts or as my husband calls them, the mum uniform.

RustyCat · 03/11/2020 16:59

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow!! Eek!

@Bananas52 I'm the same, I'm soo tired, keep waking up at stupid o'clock in the morning and not able to get back to sleep again. I also feel like I need many many naps during the day 🤣. I have a after dinner nap most nights on the sofa.

It can't be caffeine withdrawal surely as I've hacked that right back since 4 weeks, I've only had 2 cups of caffeinated tea a day (3 if I'm treating myself) the rest is decaff, water or fruit juice.
