Hello! So I'm 32+4 with my second, a girl this time 😊 the whole pregnancy has gone quick as been running round after my toddler, though now I know I'm almost there it's going so slowly! So looking for some buddies to compare notes and pass the time with! Though don't know why I want it to hurry up as I know too well the pain and sleepless nights ahead 🤣 just I think uncomfortable enough now to want her out! Everywhere pretty swollen already, hips hurt and wake me up, I pee all the time even in the night, tired and get some braxton hicks. How are others doing?

Good news! Waters have broken ... honestly could cry I’m so happy to not have to wait until Saturday for my induction. No painful contractions just yet but will be going in at 8 am if nothing happens between now and then!

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 05/10/2020 06:49

Contractions have kicked off!

@FreyaFirstTimeMum YESSSSS best of luck to you! Flowers

Recovery is going well, but these after pains are no joke. Luckily DD is a dream and managed 4-8am today! My milk came in early on day 2 so she’s happy!

Hope everyone’s doing well.

Yay, @FreyaFirstTimeMum. Hopefully all is going well and you're either with baby on well on your way.

@UserFriendly14 I was really worried about the thought of after pains this time. I didnt get any with my first but heard they can be worse with subsequent ones. Fortunately I've not had any, or felt any. If this is the case and they dont hit me in the future I know I'm very lucky.

I braved a look down there at my stitches last night and all is looking ok 🤞. Had to have a glass of wine to prepare myself for looking 😅

Hello, just an update from me!

Baby Erin was born at 16.35pm on 06 October weighing an incredible 9 lbs 14 oz!

Birth was a bit of a trauma but finding ways to manage at the moment. A failed epidural, third degree tears and a hemorrhage that resulted me being whisked away 5 mins after her birth to go into a two hour surgery. Will be lots of recovery/physio and monitoring my bloods for a while but feeling so much better to be home now 💕 she’s amazing, so incredibly chilled out and just gorgeous so regardless makes everything worth it.

Also she has the most amazing hair!

Wow, @FreyaFirstTimeMum that's an impressive weight. And what a load of gorgeous hair. She looks beautiful. Sorry you had a difficult time. I hope you recover quickly xx

UserFriendly14 · 08/10/2020 14:13

Congratulations @FreyaFirstTimeMum! She’s beautiful!

Hopefully your recovery will be more straight forward than the labour, but at least your little girl is here now!
