Hello! So I'm 32+4 with my second, a girl this time 😊 the whole pregnancy has gone quick as been running round after my toddler, though now I know I'm almost there it's going so slowly! So looking for some buddies to compare notes and pass the time with! Though don't know why I want it to hurry up as I know too well the pain and sleepless nights ahead 🤣 just I think uncomfortable enough now to want her out! Everywhere pretty swollen already, hips hurt and wake me up, I pee all the time even in the night, tired and get some braxton hicks. How are others doing?

Really exciting news @SunStruck. I'll be watching it for you guys today.

Bit of TMI news, but nowhere else to share it, managed to go for a poo today, and it wasnt painful 🥳

UserFriendly14 · 30/09/2020 08:43

Best of luck to you @SunStruck 💐 I’ll be back to see updates!

@FreyaFirstTimeMum Not long time go for you- we’ll still be here cheering you on, don’t worry!

@Spark27 Genuinely happy for you! And you’ve reminded me to get DH to pick up some laculose from the chemist 😂 Hope the sleepless nights are worth it 😍

Thank you all ladies for your good wishes! Currently having a last minute pamper
[hair removal 😂]

Spark27 · 30/09/2020 10:28

Just been online to see my labour notes. 1st stage is down as 26mins, 2nd stage 10mins, and 3rd 7mins. I've had longer coffee breaks. 😅

SunStruck · 30/09/2020 10:52

Thanks for the well wishes ladies! Yeah so they're keeping me in and I'm being induced! They've already started me in the Pessary and it's been 5 hours but I feel absolutely nothing... they will give me the second set of meds in an hour or two so maybe things start moving then. Definitely in here for the long haul as I was only 1cm dilated when I got here and no contractions (so basically nothing happening). But all waters have gone 😅

I could never have guessed this, so hopefully it will move along quickly unexpectedly for you guys too!

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 30/09/2020 11:09

@SunStruck amazing! Hopefully everything moves quickly for you! 💕💕

UserFriendly14 · 30/09/2020 13:44

@Spark27 That’s incredible! You’re a hero and maybe better than a long laborious labour? Also can anyone see their details online? Intrigued to see mine after getting this one out.

@SunStruck Good to know things are progressing! Hope it’s all going well.

Currently hooked up to monitoring. Baby’s heartbeat was high to start with, due to me being dehydrated 😳 but after downing two jugs of water, her HB was then all over the place and they couldn’t work out if it was low and peaking or high and falling. LOTS of movement though so doctor was happy. Still all over the show. Called DH and he reminded me this happened with DS too 😣 Looks like I’ll be here for a while. I’m rambling as I’m anxious again! (And alone!)

UserFriendly14 · 30/09/2020 14:54

Shameless double post with constant updates!

After all that worry, turns out I wasn’t just laying uncomfortably as I was trying to tell myself at the time and I am in fact 2/3cm dilated! Waiting for delivery to be available, with possible breaking my waters for me, and hoping I have a September baby after all!

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 30/09/2020 15:01

@UserFriendly14 ah so exciting! May be having birthday buddies with yourself and @SunStruck

I’m feeling rough today with back pain... I’m hoping it means something will happen with me overnight... but I know I’m symptom hunting again 😂 haha

The bloody “is baby here?” Texts from friends and family are driving me mad.... you’d know if they were!

UserFriendly14 · 30/09/2020 15:47

@FreyaFirstTimeMum hoping things are happening for you! I know how crazy symptom hunting can drive you- and if it’s not that then it’s the family! I put out a preemptive, don’t ask, I’ll tell you text a few weeks ago. I did ever so slightly snap at well intentioned FIL, who asked me if anything was happening and my reply was “Yes I’m contracting as we speak!” (Funnily enough I am contracting as I type this now!)

I’m still waiting for delivery to be available and DH can come over. After all the planning with DS, it’s still been a mad rush for DH. I forgot to put a bag together for him and DH had to wake him from a nap to be picked up. 😣 Again with the rambling!

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 30/09/2020 19:49

@UserFriendly14 managed to get any further? How is it in the the hospital on your own at the moment? Hoping your DH has been allowed in!

UserFriendly14 · 30/09/2020 22:32

@FreyaFirstTimeMum Still labouring with waters intact. Hopefully they’ll be broken for me soon, if they don’t go themselves. Contractions were easing earlier, so it’s been an up and down day.

How are you getting on?

TBH there was so much going on with monitoring, that it didn’t make too much difference that DH wasn’t here. He was allowed in about 18:30, once I’d moved to delivery, but I was moved early while there was space here. Just know that you can do it and if it gets too much, do ask if he can be allowed in early- it never hurts to ask.

SunStruck · 01/10/2020 04:23

Baby Leo born at 1.10.20 😄 all went very well, super slow to get to 5cm but then I went from 5 to 10 in 2 hours! Few pushes and he was out. He seems super chilled and sleeping in his hospital cot for now 😄

SunStruck · 01/10/2020 04:24

Sorry I meant born at 4am on 1.10.20!

Spark27 · 01/10/2020 04:26

Congratulations @SunStruck. Welcome to baby Leo xx

Spark27 · 01/10/2020 04:27

He looks very alert even though he's brand new x

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 01/10/2020 08:29

@SunStruck he’s absolutely beautiful 😍

@UserFriendly14 hope everything is going well for you too! Nothing more to report on my side, sweep tomorrow so hoping this weekend will be a winner for me 😂

UserFriendly14 · 01/10/2020 10:29

Congratulations @SunStruck, he’s beautiful! 😍

Baby girl arrived very quickly at 1:29am this morning! “I want to hold the gas and air... actually have I got time for an epidural?” Two pushes later and she’s here! We’re now waiting to leave the hospital, 3 hours after discharge.

Spark27 · 01/10/2020 10:38

Congratulations @UserFriendly14. Welcome baby girl. How are you feeling? Hopefully you get discharged soon. I found getting back home really lovely, even though I was in the hospital for less than 12hrs 😅

Just having my first post labour bath. Feels blissful. I think my nipples are more sore than my bits 😅

UserFriendly14 · 02/10/2020 05:16

Thank you @Spark27! How are you both getting on?

I feel/felt remarkably well post birth actually. It was so much better than DS’s, despite how ludicrously quick her third stage was.

Only downside is, I’m gutted I’ll never [knowingly] have a reason for the gas and air again 😂

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 02/10/2020 14:39

Second sweep done, have progressed since last week - she said she has a feeling something will happen before induction.

Just in case, Induction is booked for 10th at 3pm..... feels like ages away!

@FreyaFirstTimeMum any more movement?! (Sorry I’m one of “those” relatives now! 😂)

Still enjoying newborn snuggles here! I can’t believe how content she is and only has a screech when she’s not being fed soon enough!

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 03/10/2020 15:34

@UserFriendly14 after my sweep yesterday, nothing too much at the moment. I did have a spot of the bloody show last night and more mucas plug today. Felt really uncomfortable all day so hoping it means something but just have it in my head now that I’ll be waiting til I’m induced!

Any earlier will be a bonus, but just trying not to let myself get hopeful as I hate this low/disappointed feeling Ive been get every day! So trying to stay positive and enjoy what down time I have! Feel bad for DH as he’s definitely been getting the brunt of my frustrations haha

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 03/10/2020 15:34

@UserFriendly14 double post

Aw sounds amazing, how have you found recovery?

Spark27 · 04/10/2020 05:10

I know that feeling @FreyaFirstTimeMum. I kept telling myself and everyone else that I was expecting to go the 2w overdue and have her forcefully evicted. This was to try and stop myself symptom spotting and getting annoyed, and to stop people asking. I couldn't believe it when things kicked off themselves at 40+2.
I hope you dont have to wait til the 10th though (although saying that I have no idea what date it is today, or even day 😅 Damn baby has stolen my concept of time!) xx
