Hello! So I'm 32+4 with my second, a girl this time 😊 the whole pregnancy has gone quick as been running round after my toddler, though now I know I'm almost there it's going so slowly! So looking for some buddies to compare notes and pass the time with! Though don't know why I want it to hurry up as I know too well the pain and sleepless nights ahead 🤣 just I think uncomfortable enough now to want her out! Everywhere pretty swollen already, hips hurt and wake me up, I pee all the time even in the night, tired and get some braxton hicks. How are others doing?

In the hospital on the monitors. All seems absolutely fine, I'm just not feeling her much. Little monkey. In the labour ward and just heard a baby being born. Arrrggghhhh. That's going to be us soon. So scary

UserFriendly14 · 20/09/2020 21:12

@Spark27 that’s a relief! Always good to know baby’s doing well.

Oof, I’m guessing the last thing you needed to hear was someone else giving birth though!

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 20/09/2020 22:05

Exciting @Elly88 that you’ll see baby soon!

I’ve had on/off period pains yesterday and today but no consistency - and also going to the toilet a lot. Hoping it’s the start of something! Officially 39 weeks tomorrow, although realistically she’ll be late I keep having a feeling that she’ll come this week!

Gutted and deep cleaned whole house today... hopefully will get things moving!

Nicalo2019 · 21/09/2020 08:23

@Elly88 good luck today! Still nothing from me, feeling a little better this morning still fed up but better mind set today I think.

Going to go for a walk n do some tidying up to see if can get him moving. Got a hot chilli to eat tonight too see if that helps. Scan is at 4pm so hopefully he will be head down and ready to go.

Hope everyone is OK this morning.

Flower81 · 21/09/2020 08:42

Hope all goes well @Elly88 xx

Elly88 · 21/09/2020 08:49

Thanks everyone, waiting for a call to tell me when to go in.
Sounds like you could be in a similar situation soon yourself @Spark27?
I'll keep an eye on the thread if she takes ages and update you :)

Best of luck today @Elly88! Bet you barely slept a wink.

Spark27 · 21/09/2020 08:58

Labour ward gave me 2 options- to stay in overnight, or go back for monitoring today. I opted for today. But, typically, since I've been off the monitor baby has been moving loads. I'm going to cancel my appointment for today. They were happy so it's just for my reassurance, and I'm reassured.
My mum has annoyed me though. DH called her last night to see if she could have DD today for my appointment (when I was planning on going) and within 5mins I had had a text from my sister wanting to know what was going on. So my mum had got straight off the phone with him and on to the phone with her. Could she not have kept her mouth shut for at least 5 mins. Esp as it's all a false alarm anyway. Not sure if its hormones and I'm being unreasonable, but I'm really pissed off with her.

Hope they dont leave you waiting around too long @Elly88 xx

SunStruck · 21/09/2020 09:01

Hi ladies how are we getting on? 39 weeks today (snap @FreyaFirstTimeMum!) and still not feeling anything really! Got a scan tomorrow so we'll see. I'm working until end of next week so hopefully he stays in 🤣

@Elly88 ooh so exciting!!! Good luck for today, I known you've been desperate to have the baby out so finally! 😄 let us know how it goes!

Margo34 · 21/09/2020 09:16

Hi ladies, can I jump aboard? 39+2 here and so ready for baby to arrive, there's only so much cleaning tidying sorting and nesting I can do 🙈
Baby doesn't feel in any rush though and there's been no talk from my MW about next steps at 40w/sweep/induction or anything of the like, just "we probably won't see you again but we'll book you a 40w appt just in case..." so infuriating! Just want to hold my baby now, I'm getting impatient!

Spark27 · 21/09/2020 10:11

Hi @Margo34, welcome. My midwife was exactly the same when I saw her last and she booked me in for 40+4, all 'I probably wont see you as I bet you'll have had this baby'. I think they say it to all of us just to add in some hope as they know how pissed off we're getting 🤣xx

Margo34 · 21/09/2020 14:08

So frustrating! I've booked myself in for acupuncture in the hope of moving things along 🙈 heard it helps!

Nicalo2019 · 21/09/2020 16:45

Had the scan and all OK, he is head down and ready. Just a waiting game now.

Due date Friday so feeling like I'm goin over at this rate. Got a sweep Booked in for 1 week today

MrsK89 · 21/09/2020 17:53

Did you go back in for monitoring @Spark27
Feeling rubbish today. Crampy in my legs and just in a general bad mood 😔

Spark27 · 21/09/2020 18:51

No, I cancelled it @MrsK89. Shes been moving around loads all day (proper kicking off at the moment) so I'm reassured. I spoke the the mw's at the hospital and they were happy, and happy that I was happy.
No real twinges, plug or bloody show so I think I'm in this for the long haul.

How are you doing?xx

MrsK89 · 21/09/2020 19:18

That's good @Spark27 glad she's moving a lot more now for you.
Legs feeling a bit better but I had broken sleep all night because of it.
Got a bit of a sore throat aswel
Just putting kids to bed and looking forward to a nice shower.
I've got a scan tomorrow, something about hospitals really tire me out. If I'm in for an hour I'm done for the rest of the day haha x

UserFriendly14 · 21/09/2020 19:50

Welcome @Margo34 Flowers

So glad your scan went well @Nicalo2019!

Feeling so down tonight- the idea of entertaining DS this week is more than I can bear and he’s getting bored and then naughty, meaning I feel like I’m constantly telling him off. I think I need to give myself a mental kick and get on with things. Hopefully keeping busy will encourage baby too 🤞🏻 Mind you, my cold has now gone onto my chest, so I don’t fancy my chances on gas and air if anything were to happen.

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 22/09/2020 09:01

Not sure if waters have broken this morning (a trickle) or I’ve peed myself 😂 when I got out of bed “liquid” came out but not what I would think as enough for waters but didn’t feel like pee!

I have a pad on now just to see if more comes out... or whether it was oh so sexy discharge/pee haha

Nicalo2019 · 22/09/2020 09:20

Morning all how is everyone today?

Had backache all night so hoping something might be starting. @freyafirsttimemum that's how I feel sometimes I wonder oh is this my waters but never amounts to anything. I keep thinking I'm Going to miss it actually happening as I dont know what to expect!

Going to do some cleaning n moving about today see if I can get him moving will see tho mot holding my breath!

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 22/09/2020 10:44

@Nicalo2019 I know right 🙈 you think it’ll be obvious haha I called triage and have been asked to pop a maternity pad on and lay down for 45 mins then stand for 30 as if it’s my waters more will come out... fingers crossed but also not holding my breath haha

UserFriendly14 · 22/09/2020 11:01

@FreyaFirstTimeMum oooh exciting! I certainly knew when my waters went (literally a burst and a gush!), but I know it’s different for everyone. I swear I’m going to be the last of us to deliver at this rate!

I had a really unsettled night, feeling very anxious about movements again. She’s now very active this morning, so just when I think I have a pattern, it changes.

I let DS sleep until 10 this morning 🙈🙊 Not going to lie, the thought of not entertaining him for a couple less hours was the most appealing! Of course he’s not going to nap today now, so swings and roundabouts...

@Elly88 hope you’re getting on OK!

Spark27 · 22/09/2020 13:22

Thats exciting @FreyaFirstTimeMum, fingers crossed.
Absolutely nothing going on here. My friend dropped round a Tiny Love 3-in-1 rocker yesterday that her DS just finished using so I've disassembled, washed, dried and reassembled that. Then covered with a blanket before the cat gets straight on it 😅. Last time I just bought the moses basket downstairs, but will be easier to not have to do that this time. Got a smaller baby rocker chair up on the 3rd floor that I can use when I'm up in DDs room (DD has currently put all her teddies in it). After all that I'm now collapsed on the sofa again. Looming forward to the cooler weather from tomorrow x

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 22/09/2020 13:51

Nothing further here 🙈 🙄

UserFriendly14 · 22/09/2020 14:05

@Spark27 sounds like you’ve been productive! I think I’m going to use the pram cot downstairs or our travel cot. We also have a bouncer for short durations, but I remember DS hating that to start with!

@FreyaFirstTimeMum Typical when you get your hopes up, isn’t it?!

So hormonal today. Currently on the verge of tears for no reason, raging that DS is watching Mr Tumble (who needs to have a horrible accident then go away) and massive mum guilt that he’s content watching this on a nice day, because I haven’t got the energy to take him to the beach. I think a trip to the park might be in order... again!

Midwife app tomorrow and I’m going to beg to be booked in for an induction!

FreyaFirstTimeMum · 22/09/2020 15:16

I’m also hormonal today, crying off and on this afternoon. Been announced in Scotland that not household interactions indoors, only in garden... great when baby is due on Monday and we’ll be approaching October 🙈 just want grandparents and aunties to be able to meet and interact with baby. The fact this could be for 6 months is bringing me down.

I’m sure when baby comes a lot of this will fade to back of mind, just an awful experience for first pregnancy from lockdown in March and now basically second lockdown when baby is here. Haven’t seen a single member of my family since February (they’re in Wales/ Sweden/ Liverpool), and now even my in laws who live 10 mins down the road won’t be able to bond with baby 🙃
