There are two fb groups from this thread! All mumsnet only. Both are active so it's not super important which one you join Wink

Afternoon all,

Hope your having a good start to the day!

I wanted to throw the topic of symptoms out there....I’m 7 weeks tomorrow EDD 6 April 2021.

For the last two days I have not had any nausea which I had last week, my breasts are still heavy and the soreness comes and goes. I also did a few cheapie tests this morning and still getting strong lines but they are not as dark as previously I’m thinking this could be the hook effect, also I’m aware a pregnancy test only confirms a pregnancy nothing more.

Other things I have noticed is... gassy stomach, gone off eggs and anything diary. But I just thought the nausea would stick around as it began to start and then disappeared.

I’m just not feeling pregnant and really worried as I had a chemical pregnancy last month and now I’m worried I may be having a MMC... I’m not sure if symptoms slowly start dropping when having an MMC or whether this is all totally normal!

Any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated!!! Xxxxxxx

@Mandy133 heyy.. im 5 weeks, due 19th April I think (just used apps to calculate) but have honestly not really had any symptoms apart from boobs hurting a little bit but nothing unbearable.
I had some mild cramps come and go but again, nothing too bad at all.

I also just dont feel pregnant so I keep doing pregnancy tests as I bought a lot from amazon. The line has gotten darker each time so I think that's a good sign. I'm 27 and this is my first pregnancy so dont really know what to expect. Its hard when you don't feel pregnant though (I'm kind of hoping for a bit of nausea or something so I can actually believe it.)

Workingmama1 · 18/08/2020 13:20

@mandy133, I'm a day behind you, 7 weeks on Thursday. My symptoms seem to come and go, don't have sore boobs (probably as I'm still breastfeeding) but do have sore nipples which is torture when my daughter latches, oddly they only started last week. My nausea is on and off, it seems to be worse if I'm not well rested or haven't eaten a lot. The one constant has been there is nothing I fancy too eat, no strong aversions just nothing takes my fancy!

Mandy133 · 18/08/2020 13:42

Hey ladies!

@SabrinaGx I’m 29 and also my first pregnancy, well second as last one was a chemical. It’s just so weird I don’t know if I should be happy I don’t have any sickness or scared. Just worries me when symptoms come and go! Wishing you all the best.

@Workingmama1 I definitely agree that last week the nausea was at it is worst when I was hungry, i recently have left some s snacks in the car to avoid an empty stomach.....but so worried I’ve been feeling fine for the last few 2 days!

I’ve defiantly gone off all things diary. Just go to keep fingers crossed all means well!!! Looking online looks like hcg peaks around week 7/8 or even 9 so could just be too early right now!

megmcc93 · 18/08/2020 15:17

Hi all.
I'm 5 weeks today and feeling awful. Nausea and can't keep anything except ginger biscuits & leek and potato soup down. Please tell I'm not the only one? I'm also waking up so early but I think it's because once I'm awake I can't turn my brain off!!

I've had to take the rest of the day off work as I feel so sick and my job involves speaking to customers all day 😂, I'm feeling like a bit of a wimp though if I'm honest.

Hope everyone is feeling ok today?

ladyfarmer · 18/08/2020 16:18

@Tiff94 Can your friends on Facebook see when you’ve joined the group? I don’t really want anyone I know knowing yet.
Feeling super confused today. @Amelie1234 I know what you mean about being a bag of nerves. Doesn’t help that had a huge bust up with husband this afternoon as I’m just so worked up.

I found out I was pregnant two years ago- literally the day after I found out he had met up with another woman behind my back. I had a termination because I didn’t feel I had any faith in him. He went on to sleep with someone else, lied about it, then went through months of counselling and is hugely regretful. But I’m beside myself with fear that he’s going to do it again and I will be drawn to the same awful conclusion, to the extent that I’ve been googling abortion by post. I feel so alone and confused. I didn’t anyone about the termination or the infidelity. My family think the world of him and prefer him to me, so would probably blame me anyway.
Honestly, I think the only thing keeping me going is my animals.

Tiff94 · 18/08/2020 17:02

@ladyfarmer no they can't see. No one can see anyone in the group or what they post they only can see admin on the join page and that's it.

SabrinaGx · 18/08/2020 17:05

@Serethiel awww congratulations that's such a sweet little scan pic Smile

Did you go private for the scan? Xx

Serethiel · 18/08/2020 17:34

@sabrinagx yes, it was private. I found a deal on groupon, worked out £22! I had a MC in march so was worth every penny.

Serethiel · 18/08/2020 17:35

SabrinaGx · 18/08/2020 17:39

@Serethiel Ooh ok, thank you for letting me know! I think I'll defo go for one! I've also heard some hospitals dont let partners go into the scan so will book a private one just in case my hospital doesn't let my husband in! Xx

Serethiel · 18/08/2020 18:28

@SabrinaGx yes, my partner was allowed into the private scan but because we have no childcare he had to wait in the car with my son. Some NHS scans are allowing partners in so I wait until nearer the time to see if he can come in. If not then we will probably book another private one when I'm further along.

SabrinaGx · 18/08/2020 18:32

@Serethiel I know I was worried about being pregnant for the first time during covid as I just would love for my husband to be able to share all the moments at the scans etc with me! I guess understandable though as we need to be extra careful!

Aww well hopefully he can go into your next scan! Smile xx

Mandy133 · 18/08/2020 18:43

@Serethiel... congratulations that’s great news!! Was this an internal scan or abdominal scan? Xxxx

Avril2020 · 18/08/2020 18:59

Just got my letter for my first scan. Hubby is able to come so I'm so happy. Also the time slot is when I have my PPA time at work (in a school) so I don't have to organise cover and raise suspicions or have to fib to anyone. Phew! As I'm having my booking in appointment via video call, I'm wondering when I will have my bloods taken for the screening test and wondered how long the wait is. Feels like an eternity as want to wait for those results before telling anyone. Especially my colleagues and own children. If all goes well I'll be about 3 1/2 months by then though so hope I can hide it. 🤢

clueless987 · 18/08/2020 19:00

Still no clear answers from my scan this evening. They said they couldn't see anything which is so strange because I'm still having positive tests, I've only had light spotting aswell so it's like my body doesn't know I'm having a miscarriage if that's what it is.. they think I'm either having an early miscarriage, ectopic or I'm just so early that nothings basically formed yet (which I really don't think is the case since my last period was nearly 7 weeks ago and took my first positive over 2 weeks ago). I just feel that everything points to a miscarriage over everything else. I've had bloods taken and I'll either get the results tonight or in the morning. Depending on the blood results I may need another scan tomorrow and more bloods taken..

megmcc93 · 18/08/2020 19:10

@Serethiel that's lovely, I'm so glad you had a positive scan ☺️ I'm thinking of booking early when I'll be around 8 weeks.

@clueless987 I'm so sorry that you are having all this confusion. I hope tomorrow brings you some positive news, I'll be thinking of you. Let us know 😊💕 x

Serethiel · 18/08/2020 20:49

@mandy133

It was an abdominal scan

Serethiel · 18/08/2020 20:55

@Clueless987 I'm sorry you're going through this. I hope you get some clear answers soon. Apologies if I've missed something but could things just be an awkward position so hard to pick up on scan? If you're having positive tests then it is very strange.

Olive1701 · 18/08/2020 21:50

Hi all!
Had a early scan yesterday for my first pregnancy. Thought I was around the 7 week mark but measured more at 6 weeks 2 days yesterday! Baby heartbeat all going well and was lovely seeing my partners reaction! Still anxious as know it’s early days but seeing the heart beat really put my mind at ease! We bought a package so can have 3 more scans whenever we like! Not sure what week, yet open to recommendations but was thinking the 10 week mark?? (I’ll probably not he able to wait past 8 haha!) x

clueless987 · 18/08/2020 22:00

Since my last post I've spoke with the hospital about my blood results and they said my HCG isn't very high for how far along I am, so it's basically an early miscarriage my hcg was just over 2000 whatever that means.. I will need to have another blood test in a weeks time. I'm taking it as a miscarriage though, I'm gutted!

Workingmama1 · 18/08/2020 22:02

Sorry you've not been able to get answers @clueless987, it must be tough being in limbo. Did they mention the clouding today? At least it sounds lile they are continuing to monitor you. 🤞 it gets clearer tomorrow xx
