@watersintheclouds we have the same due date, my scan is on Friday.

@GhostWorld might be worth calling them to see if its something they will do before you book a private one.

Hope scans go well for you both this week.

Clalou83 · 09/06/2020 16:59

Just realised there maybe a new thread, after not being able to post today.

@1990shopefulftm @Glooorb @SamK93
I checked but no partners allowed at the 20 week scan for Bolton Sad was worth a try I guess. I know it is what it is but I do feel bad for him. X

Clalou83 · 09/06/2020 17:06

@watersintheclouds Welcome I'm also due on the 29th October and have my scan Thursday first thing in the morning. I think there 12/13 of us who want a surprise.

Clalou83 · 09/06/2020 17:09

@DressingGown87 Thank you do you have a name for the baby store in Bolton. Cheers x

Clalou83 · 09/06/2020 17:13

Right now I have an uncomfortable feeling in the back of my ribs, was the right now it's the left anyone had that? Seems it could be pretty normal things stretching etc....

Mc3209 · 09/06/2020 17:53

@Clalou83 my ribs have been ok so far, but I did have stretching pains in the lower belly earlier on in the week. Is it sore when you poke it?

Is anyone doing anything "from the bump" for this father's Day? I decided to go cheesy and got DH a small present (matching baby vest and a man's T shirt 😬)

Clalou83 · 09/06/2020 18:09

@Mc3209 That's cute. I have bought home a daddy key ring

Late October Thread - 4
Mc3209 · 09/06/2020 18:25

@Clalou83 That key ring is awesome!

roarfeckingroar · 09/06/2020 18:26

DP has taken me for a drive to get a McFlurry. He's my favourite.

EmmaA96 · 09/06/2020 19:21

Another one with a scan tomorrow, got the midwife too so I’m hoping I’m not in there as long as I was last time! Over 3 hours with no breakfast, bringing all the snacks tomorrow 🤣

Elizag20 · 09/06/2020 19:29

Is anyone using a pregnancy pillow?

KitKatKit · 09/06/2020 19:47

@roarfeckingroar The Mcflurry sounds fabulous- we had Nando's delivered because I just couldn't be faffed to cook. I feel so off today.

@elizag20 Yes, I have a Kally full length one and its great!

@watersintheclouds @GhostWorld Welcome both!

watersintheclouds · 09/06/2020 19:51

@Elizag20 I’ve got the Pharmedoc u shaped pillow. It’s huge but I’ve been sleeping much better since I got it and staying on my left side more.

Mc3209 · 09/06/2020 19:55

Good luck to everyone with scans coming up! Fingers crossed for all of you.

@Elizag20 I have a banana-shaped pillow. I find it useful as I used to be stomach sleeper and now it's helpful to adjust to the semi-side position. It will not stop you from rolling on your back though (now I find sleeping on my back uncomfortable anyway, it feels weird with the bump).

Clalou83 · 09/06/2020 20:01

@Elizag20 Yeah a large u shape one. Love it but yeah @Mc3209 I do wake up and find myself on my back it scares me but we can't stop our body moving while we sleep can we.

BS9790 · 09/06/2020 21:06

@elizag20 I've got the Dreamgeni (or something like that) pillow. I havent really got a bump so I've been using it backwards to stop me turning onto my back so much. It's not as large as others I looked at.

Feel really off it today, feel absolutely exhausted, back ache and sharp stomach pains. Hoping I feel better tomorrow!

DressingGown87 · 09/06/2020 21:09

Thanks all! Today has just been an off day. Dragging up my past losses through counseling always flips my day. Tomorrow is a new one.

@WaveStreet I’m like that with sizes! Bought a pack of newborn and a pack of 0-3 for now. But would love if anyone has an insight.

@GhostWorld @watersintheclouds welcome and congratulations. Good luck with your scans this week.

@Clalou83 winstanleys pram works in Wigan are offering one to one appointments. A lot of my friends recommended them, as they have a good range.

Another one who couldn’t be bothered cooking today, just got a takeout pizza and ate it with a friend by the river. @roarfeckingroar would love a McDonald’s!

@DressingGown87 i have a mix of sizes including a pack of up to 1 month from sainsburys, will probably get some more in this size from next/m&s. I think the weight is up to 10lbs where 0-3 is up to 14lbs.
Hope you enjoy your shopping appointment tomorrow.

It must be takeaway Tuesday, very unusual for us but we had kfc 😂

hmeadow24 · 09/06/2020 22:29

Hi ladies!

Adding another boy to the group Smile He’s been kicking me non stop too, especially at 5am.

roarfeckingroar · 09/06/2020 22:51

@KitKatKit oh no, what's up? Are you feeling better now? The McFlurry was pretty awesome.

@Elizag20 I am, it's so comfy. I have a U shaped one. DP loves cuddling up to the side of it too.

Glooorb · 09/06/2020 23:36

@DressingGown87 I've joined my local NCT and signed up to the signature NCT course. It's so popular, I didn't realise! I didn't actually find an available course fitting precisely my due date so I went with the next best fit (grabbing the last space!) - mid sept to mid Oct (my due date is 25 Oct so not far off)

Glooorb · 09/06/2020 23:41

@clalou83 boo. I can understand why the hospitals are being cautious but equally I feel so sad for my husband not being able to participate in the scans... I was asking whether we should explore a private scan if they would allow him in, but he is being all stoic and wants to avoid all risky situations if possible. He's like if the guidelines are such, then we should stick with them and minimise any risks of catching anything.

Glooorb · 09/06/2020 23:43

@Mc3209 @clalou83 Father's Day presents is such a good idea!! I might have a little look - thanks for the tip :)

Glooorb · 09/06/2020 23:45

@hmeadow24 congratulations on your boy!! xx

Clalou83 · 10/06/2020 08:30

Morning all just to let you know I sign up to a free parenting session. An online 2hr session.

We are doing hypnobirthing, doing this with a lady I do pregnancy yoga with she also goes into the 4th trimester, so after birth. so already paying for that so thought that was great.

Here's a link anyways, I'm doing it a week Saturday.
